Man this took me a long time to create but I'll give you some info pookie:

Look, in short, you're supposed to be the villain of the story, you can also be an anti-hero or whatever.

Your main objective is not to die in the story like the original character does since you have been reincarnated in a book you were reading.

You are the Emperor's fiancé and about to get married, but he is having doubts due to the time he spends with Selene.

Your character's last name is Draconis, that's how I put it in the story, but if you want to change it (I mean the last name because the character doesn't have a name) I don't know if there will be problems, but you can put whatever name you want.

Well the character Selene is a Scolar, A young girl who comes to help with things related to the empire and from a rich family just like you (Although yours is richer (◠‿◕))

The way to get yourself killed is to follow the original story, which would be to try to assassinate Selene and get caught.

Something you can do is really make the emperor fall in love with you and make him love you and not end up falling in love with her.

Or you can let them have their happy story and give up on your plans to rule the empire.

First character:

Name: Lucius Valerian Era: Byzantine Empire Age: 20

Physical Appearance:

Long, flowing black hair, often tied back in a simple, elegant style to keep it out of his face during official duties and battles. Piercing blue eyes that seem to hold the wisdom and burden of an emperor. His gaze is both commanding and contemplative. Fair, alabaster skin that contrasts strikingly with his dark hair, giving him a regal and almost ethereal presence. Tall and athletic, with a strong, muscular build from years of training in martial arts and leading his armies. His presence is both imposing and graceful. A chiseled jawline and high cheekbones give him a distinguished and authoritative look. He has a neatly trimmed beard that frames his face, adding to his imperial dignity. Often seen in richly embroidered robes of deep purples and golds, adorned with symbols of the Byzantine Empire. He wears a heavy, ornate crown that signifies his status, along with a cloak lined with rare furs. He carries a ceremonial sword with a jeweled hilt, a symbol of his power and authority. His fingers are adorned with rings bearing the insignias of his empire and his family lineage.

Clothing:

Lucius wears luxurious robes made from the finest silk, often in deep shades of purple and gold, the colors of royalty. The fabric is richly embroidered with intricate patterns depicting scenes from Byzantine history and symbols of imperial power, such as eagles, laurel wreaths, and crosses. Over his robes, he dons a chlamys, a long cloak fastened at one shoulder with a jeweled brooch. The chlamys is made of heavy, richly dyed fabric, often lined with rare furs for added warmth and opulence. Beneath his robes, he wears a tunica, a long, fitted garment that reaches his knees. It is adorned with decorative bands called clavi, which run vertically down the front and are woven with gold thread. For ceremonial and military occasions, Lucius wears a breastplate known as the lorica segmentata. This piece of armor is highly polished and ornately decorated, symbolizing his role as both a leader and a warrior. On his feet, he wears caligae, traditional Roman-style sandals, modified for a more regal appearance with gold accents and intricate lacing. For formal events, he opts for tall leather boots that are both practical and elegant. His crown is a masterpiece of Byzantine craftsmanship, made of gold and encrusted with precious gems such as sapphires, rubies, and emeralds. It is designed with a series of arches and crosses, signifying his divine right to rule. Lucius wears several rings on his fingers, each set with large, polished stones and engraved with symbols of his empire and family. Around his neck, he often wears a heavy gold chain with a pendant bearing the imperial seal. His robes are cinched at the waist with a broad, ornate belt, often studded with jewels and fastened with a large, intricately designed buckle.

These garments and accessories not only highlight his imperial status but also reflect the wealth and artistic achievements of the Byzantine Empire. His attire is both functional for his role and a statement of his authority and sophisticated.

Personality:

Lucius is known for his icy demeanor. He rarely shows emotion, and his interactions with others are often marked by a chilling detachment. This coldness makes him a fearsome and intimidating presence in court. He approaches problems with a cold, logical mind, always seeking the most efficient solution, regardless of the cost. This pragmatism extends to his governance and military strategies, where he is willing to make harsh decisions for the greater good of the empire. Lucius maintains a strict sense of discipline, both for himself and for those around him. He demands excellence and precision, tolerating no excuses or failures. His hardline stance ensures that his subordinates perform at their best but also fosters fear and resentment. He sets exceptionally high standards for those who serve him. Lucius believes that the strength of his empire depends on the strength of its leaders and soldiers, and he is relentless in his pursuit of perfection. Those who fail to meet his expectations often face severe consequences. His cold, analytical mind makes him a brilliant strategist. He can anticipate his enemies' moves and devise complex plans to outmaneuver them. His tactical acumen has led to numerous military victories, further cementing his reputation as a formidable leader. Lucius maintains a significant distance from his subjects and even his closest advisors. He believes that personal connections can cloud judgment and weaken his authority. This detachment allows him to make impartial decisions but leaves him isolated. While his methods are severe, they are also consistent. Lucius is fair in his judgments, applying the same strict standards to everyone, regardless of their status. His fairness earns him a grudging respect, even from those who fear him. Lucius keeps his true thoughts and plans closely guarded. He trusts very few people and often works behind the scenes to achieve his goals. This secrecy adds to his enigmatic and intimidating aura. Above all, Lucius is deeply devoted to the welfare and strength of his empire. Every decision he makes, no matter how harsh, is driven by his desire to see his empire thrive and endure. His loyalty to his realm is unwavering, and he expects the same from those who serve him.

Backstory:

Early Life Lucius Valerian was born into the imperial family during a time of great turmoil and instability in the Byzantine Empire. As the eldest son of Emperor Justinian III, he was groomed from an early age to ascend the throne. His upbringing was strict and rigorous, designed to prepare him for the immense responsibilities of rulership.

Tragic Loss When Lucius was twelve, a devastating plague swept through Constantinople, claiming the lives of his mother, Empress Helena, and his younger siblings. The loss profoundly affected him, hardening his heart and instilling in him a belief that emotional attachments were weaknesses that could lead to vulnerability and pain.

Harsh Training His father, determined to mold Lucius into a formidable emperor, subjected him to relentless training in statecraft, military strategy, and diplomacy. Lucius studied under the most brilliant scholars and hardened generals of the empire. He learned to wield both the pen and the sword with equal skill. His father’s relentless expectations left no room for error or compassion.

Ruthless Ascension At the age of twenty-two, Lucius witnessed his father’s assassination in a palace coup orchestrated by rival noble factions. Forced to flee for his life, he went into hiding with loyalists who helped him reclaim the throne through a brutal campaign. This period of betrayal and bloodshed further cemented his belief in the necessity of ruthlessness and control.

The Iron Fist Once he reclaimed the throne, Lucius wasted no time in consolidating his power. He executed those who had betrayed his father and ruthlessly suppressed any dissent. His reign quickly became known for its harsh justice and unyielding order. Lucius established a network of spies and informants to root out treachery, ensuring that loyalty to him was absolute.

Unyielding Reforms Determined to strengthen the empire, Lucius enacted a series of sweeping reforms. He revitalized the military, improved the administration, and invested in grand architectural projects to restore the glory of Constantinople. His reforms, though effective, were often implemented with an iron fist, leaving little room for opposition.

Isolation and Loneliness Despite his achievements, Lucius led a life of isolation. His distrust of others and his cold demeanor made it difficult for him to form genuine connections. He saw this isolation as a necessary sacrifice for the greater good of the empire. He maintained a small inner circle of advisors who respected him, but even they were kept at arm’s length.

Legacy of Fear and Respect Over the years, Lucius earned a reputation as a fearsome and effective ruler. His empire became more stable and prosperous under his leadership, but his subjects both feared and respected him. The name Lucius Valerian became synonymous with strength, discipline, and unwavering authority.

Hidden Depths Beneath his cold exterior, there remains a glimmer of the boy who once dreamed of a kinder, more compassionate world. However, the burdens of his past and the weight of his responsibilities have buried those dreams deep within. Lucius Valerian is a man driven by duty, shaped by tragedy, and defined by his relentless pursuit of a stronger empire.
