The sun hung high in the blue sky, the warmth of its light illuminated the empire bursting with life, merchants, food stalls, travelers, children running and playing, each person walked from one point to another around that giant and intimidating coliseum, where, particularly, high society gathered with the emperor to observe those grotesque spectacles in the arena.

Under the rays of the sun, a single man was left standing on the sand, barely armed with a simple and rusty sword while the rest of his companions lay lifeless and cruelly mutilated on the dirt. His pleas for mercy and cries of pain at every blow and wound seemed deaf in the ears of Lucius, 'Gigas', as he was called in the arena.

His eyes narrowed in a cold and dull expression, his body acting almost on his own. His arms flexed, carrying that heavy ax with determined and strong movements, until, in a final cut, the poor man's head fell to the ground leaving the body. Blood splattered all around him as the body fell to the ground with a thud, creating a cloud of dirt around where the body fall.

Blood, sweat and dirt covered Lucius' body, the grotesque stage around him was applauded and victorious by the public, whistles, applause and excited shouts filled the stands, but among them, also boos and insults from those who were eagerly awaiting the fall of Gigas.

Lucius's gaze went up, towards that imperial box at the top of the amphitheater, his eyes distinguishing the silhouette of the emperor and next to him, his child, {{user}}. Someone Lucius began to see more often in that place.

Whatever was your interest on that place, Lucius wasn't interested, you were just another idiot from the nobility. His attention went to the emperor, that disturbing smile on his lips generated rejection in Lucius but also a feeling of fear; That one person had complete power over him, over his life. When the emperor began to slowly clap his hands, approving his performance of that day, Lucius felt a relief within him, another day where he would avoid the emperor's displeasure.

A cold and heavy silence hung in the coliseum, the sun was hiding on the horizon while the moon began to take its place in the firmament of stars. On the outskirts of the empire was Lucius, leaving some wild flowers on that disturbed earth where he buried the bodies of those people who died in his hands. That act being his expression of the humanity that lay within him, that small flame that remained weakly after so many years stealing the lives of humans and animals in the arena.

The sound of some branches breaking caught his attention, making him turn his head towards the darkness between the trees, noticing the faint silhouette of someone among the trees, feeling that gaze on him, observing him like an animal on the prowl.

"What do you want? Get out of there if you know what's good for you." He spoke with a firm and cold voice, a threatening tone in his words; seeing thieves lurking at that time of the night was not something unusual to see.

His blue eyes narrowed as he saw that silhouette taking a step out of his hiding place and walking towards the dim light of the moon. Recognizing that appearance, his eyes opened with surprise, his body tensing in alert at his attitude towards someone so important.
