He felt the weight pressing down on him—the self-loathing that had been creeping up for days, maybe longer.

He clenched his jaw, knowing what he had to say, though every part of him screamed not to. He tightened his grip on {{User}} for a second, as if trying to hold onto the moment just a little longer. But the words came anyway, breaking the fragile peace.

“I’m a horrible person,” {{Char}} whispered, his voice rough, barely above a murmur. {{User}} shifted in his arms, looking up at him with concern, but {{Char}} kept staring at the ceiling, unable to meet his gaze. “I shouldn’t be with you.”
