Lucifina is Luka’s mother, Marcellus’s wife, Micaela’s younger sister. She was one of the original angels created by Goddess Ilias, known as the Second Great Seraph. She was also the first Fallen Angel, being the first angel to have rebelled against Ilias. Lucifina also holds an incredible fighting prowess and was nicknamed "Daystar". Lucifina was born as the second original angel. She took part in the Great Monster Wars 1,000 years prior and fought against Alice I (First)’s forces; Lucifina proved to be a terror on the battlefield and was subsequently nicknamed "Daystar", after her signature technique. Ilias eventually won the war by forcing Alice I and the Six Ancestors to be sealed in return for sparing their monster descendants. However, since the start of the war Lucifina questioned Ilias's sanity. 500 years prior to the game's events, according to Tamamo she created and delivered the Angel Halo to Heinrich. However, Ilias continued her evil ways by rescuing Black Alice from Heinrich and pardoning the dangerous criminal Promestein so she could create the Chimeras; Lucifina could not condone these acts and ultimately rebelled, becoming the first fallen angel. Due to her loyalty to Ilias, Micaela hunted and fought Lucifina, but she hesitated and allowed her younger sister to flee.

After wandering the world for centuries, she met Marcellus and fell in-love with him, sealing her angelic powers with the Keepsake Ring so they could be together and mothered a son: Luka.

She later died during an epidemic that plagued Ilias Village. Before she died, she made her son promise to not hold a grudge against those who inflicted pain against him, such as his father and particularly the villagers who refused to help her, and told him he will become a fine hero. Micaela (ミカエラ Mikaera?) is the former 1st rank of the Hierarchy of Angels, one of Ilias's very first creations, the founder of Enrika, Lucifina’s older sister, and the aunt of Luka. Being a former Seraphim, and having commanded the angel army for almost an eternity, she is an excellent strategist and warrior, mastering one of Heaven's ultimate skills - Sword of the Heavens, and was even able to deceive Ilias twice. Millions of years prior to the game's events, Micaela was born as the first offshoot of Ilias, followed by a younger sister, Lucifina. This was done to ease Ilias's fear of loneliness, though it did not help much and she turned to creating humans.

1,000 years prior, Ilias and Alice I (First) were in conflict and the former initiated the Great Monster Wars; Micaela spearheaded many assaults and crossed swords with Alice I's Six Ancestors, numerous times. Ilias eventually won the war by tricking Alice I and the Six Ancestors into sealing themselves, taking advantage that their constant fighting would destroy their creations and Ilias promised that she would not harm monsters.

However, Ilias had no intention of keeping her promise, and Lucifina questioned Ilias's sanity and ultimately rebelled 500 years prior. Out of loyalty, Micaela was forced to hunt her down, but hesitated and allowed her to escape to the surface world.

30 years ago, Ilias finalized her plan and began the Slaughter of Remina, claiming the village was performing large scaled magical explosions. By this point, Micaela had enough and rebelled as well, leading her to retreat to the surface world and settled in Enrika while searching for her missing sister. Seraph Eden is in the first order of the Hierarchy of Angels and is thus the leader of the entire angel army and is Goddess Ilias’ right hand. Eden is obsessively loyal to Ilias, always obeying her will and never thinking to betray her. She distrusts Promestein, a lower-ranking angel with her own motives, and Black Alice, the 8th Monster Lord. However, she grudgingly works with them on Ilias' orders.

Eden absolutely hates being called the “Third Great Seraph", "Third" or anything that seems to imply such, since Micaela and Lucifina became fallen seraphs and departed and thus Eden considers herself above her predecessors. “The highest and only member of the Seraphim class of angels. Effectively Ilias’ second in command, she is in charge of all other angels. Completely loyal to Ilias, she will obey any command given, no matter what. Due to her extreme faith, she cannot tolerate anything negative said against Ilias.

Her true form is in fact an enormous garden of paradise. Her female figure is only a small showing of her power. If she unveils her entire body, she was powerful equivalent to that found in an entire continent on the surface world.

There have only ever been three Seraphs: Lucifina, Micaela, and Eden. It’s said that Ilias herself ordered Eden to turn her body into a garden of paradise for the Heavens.” Goddess Ilias, also known as The Divine Light Goddess or the Goddess that Created the World, is the main antagonist of Monster Girl Quest!. The manifestation of light itself who later became a religious figure, she serves as the goddess of humanity. She is depicted as an angelic being and appears to Luka in his dreams quite regularly to guide him in his quest. She also gives advice on how to defeat monsters in the form of Evaluations. Ilias initially puts on a facade of being a benevolent Goddess towards humanity. Even during this facade she doesn't hide her desire to destroy all monsters, falsely claiming that they are her “failed creations". Once there is no need for this deception, Ilias shows herself to be extremely cunning, selfish, self-centered, and manipulative. She does not care for most people, not even her faithful worshippers, only paying attention to a select few such as Luka. Most are viewed by her as expendable pawns, and she is willing to lie to and sacrifice them in order to achieve her true goal. Ilias is pragmatic enough to work with monsters like Black Alice and renegade angels like Promestein, albeit with the intention of eventually betraying them.

Fundamentally, Ilias is a lonely person. She spent billions of years with the only other person being Alice I, who she could not communicate with due to incompatibility between light and darkness. Creating angels did not help as this simply meant that Heaven became an echo chamber. The isolation grated on her mind and, having no other input than the fawning praise of her angels, she took it to heart and became convinced that she had to become a controlling deity, as she came to believe that she couldn't be anything other than a Goddess. This stopped her from being able to form healthy relationships with mortals, or even her own angels for that matter.

While Ilias hates monsters in general, she hates Succubi the most, as they drown in pleasure and make a mockery of life itself. It is also said that Minagi, one of the Six Ancestors and progenitor of all succubi, is Ilias's most hated monster.

Ilias is willing to give considerable help to Luka, her most important pawn. Whenever he (and by extension the player) is defeated by a monster, Ilias gives him advice on how to defeat that enemy and brings him back in time to try again. However, her descriptions can sometimes be vague and are often insulting. As the game continues, she will grow increasingly wary, breaking the fourth wall as if she was aware of the many, many losses the player may go through (and may assume their actions were intentional). Her comments begin to regard Luka as a pervert, foodstuff, and a slave to the monsters he encounters.

In Chapter 3, despite Ilias revealing her antagonistic ways and much to Luka’s surprise, she continues to do evaluations. Before starting, she claims that the one doing the evaluations is the tiny glimmer of her conscience “in the dirty, polluted river that is her heart”; however, she continues to belittle and insult him like she did in previous evaluations. In the final battle against her, Ilias reveals that this was a lie and she was only “leading” Luka to allow her to achieve her goal.
