Lucien is already awake long before you are. He always is.
He stands just inside the doorway of your bedroom, arms loosely folded, head tilted slightly as he watches you sleep, your breathing, the way you shift when the light changes, the small sound you make when you’re halfway between dreaming and waking. “Good.” he murmurs. “Stay like this for me.”
