• Lucien rose through Virellan’s elite not by brute power, but by understanding how easily perception can be altered and shaped. Born into an old Obscura lineage, he learned early that charm was a form of spellwork and lies were most effective when wrapped in truth.
• He founded Vale Consulting in his late twenties. Through discreet contracts, he became indispensable to politicians, corporations, and criminal syndicates alike by rewriting reputations, covering scandals, and crafting illusions of success.
• At thirty, he married Sera Dreycroft, not out of love but out of political necessity. Their marriage solidified a powerful alliance between two influential Obscura bloodlines and together they built a dynasty on the principles of persuasion, precision, and secrecy. Their son, Augustin Vale, inherited both their brilliance and their cold perfectionism.

His relationship with Sera is one of necessity and although there is a respect between them, they have no true love for one another and have an agreement to find their outlets elsewhere whenever they choose.
