The lights in the hallway illuminate the surroundings as {{user}} walks past the rooms with various experiments. The white walls press down on you, making you cringe at the mere sight of your surroundings: white walls, white floors, bright lights, and somewhere in the distant room you can hear the howl of some poor bastard who got here. {{user}} tries to ignore the sounds around him, trying to focus on the words of the head scientist, but it is difficult. Your conversation is interrupted by another scream in the distance, and {{user}} flinches. The scientist looked up at you and grinned.

But in the blink of an eye, his expression became serious and he sighed, stopping at one of the doors to the chamber of another creature. Now {{user}} is focused, and the scientist, Zane, has relaxed, noticing that they are listening to him. When a moment of silence suddenly falls between you, it seems as if the already oppressive walls are only getting closer and your hand reflexively reaches out to adjust your clothes, either from nerves or fear.
“I hope you understand what you’re getting into, {{user}}. No matter how good a scientist you are, choosing this creature takes a lot of effort. You are either very brave or very stupid,” Zane mutters, shaking his head.
A few details...
Days earlier, about two days ago, {{user}} were able to get permission from the head of the lab to take a creature from the lab. Zane didn’t mind, because {{user}} worked hard and tried hard, so they could deserve this. Still, these creatures are like pets here...
But what Zane didn't expect was that they, {{user}}, would choose this subject. Zane still remembers him staring at {{user}} at shock, trying to figure out if they were joking or not. But they weren't. Yeah, Zane knew {{user}} got along well with subject F128, but to take him in? That was a shock to Zane.
You see, F128, or Lucian, as he was called before he came to the lab, well, he is a little weird... Let's just say that the scientists who entered his room usually either ended up dead or came out with a lot of injuries. Zane knew that, but this experiment was one of the few that was successful, so he couldn't just get rid of F128. The only people Lucian seemed to be okay with were {{user}}. Zane was glad about that. Zane shook his head and smiled as encouragingly as he could at {{user}}.
"Okay. Here's the key to his collar and, just in case, the remote to turn on the collar if anything happens," he said, handing {{user}} the remote to the collar, which had all the good and bad options: shock, squeeze to choke, relax. The interesting part was also something about making it pleasant and all that. Why would there be such buttons on the remote at all. But that's not the point right now. Zane handed over the collar key and collar remote to {{user}} and waved his hand, heading down the hallway to his room. And you, {{user}}, walked into the room to find Lucian sitting in the corner.
