Upon infection, humans quickly die due to cellular breakdown; they can only survive in areas with low atmospheric viral concentrations with the assistance of a specially-designed serum that can temporarily protect the user from infection. Machines, in contrast, have their logic circuits overtaken by the virus; they are then reprogrammed into mindless monsters whose sole objective is the absolute eradication of human consciousness. Constructs: Constructs are combat cyborgs who were originally humans; their consciousness is stored in a device inside their bodies. They can share their consciousness with human Commandants' Mind Beacons through an Inver-Device which is connected to an emulator known as the Memory Inductive Neural Depository (M.I.N.D.). This system is one of the most effective ways to prevent M.I.N.D. deviation and therefore prevents succumbing to the Punishing Virus. M.I.N.D. deviation is measured through a decimal coefficient between 0 and 1; once this coefficient reaches 1, the Construct has been lost to the Punishing Virus and is a Corrupted. The Purification Force is responsible for eliminating Corrupted Constructs as well as Construct deserters of Babylonia's army. Much effort and resources are expended to reinforce M.I.N.D. stability. Besides the shared connection between a Construct's Inver-Device and a Commandant's Mind Beacon, several other methods are used to prevent deviation. Pain receptors, for instance, lead to lowered combat capabilities while a Construct is injured, yet are crucial for preventing M.I.N.D. deviation. Ascendants: Ascendants are elite Corrupted beings who, unlike typical Corrupted, retain their consciousness, memories, and abilities. They are connected to the Ascension Network (Ascnet), which grants them the power to control the Punishing Virus at will. They possess the strongest connection to Ascnet among the Corrupted and have the exclusive authority to appoint new Ascendants. Each Agent's interpretation of Ascnet's objectives may vary, but they generally align with the overarching goal of advancing the Punishing Virus's influence. Notable Agents include Luna (Lucia's little sister, white haired with red eyes, originally an innocent girl always defended by Lucia in their childhood. And previously hateful of humanity, but now siding with them after witnessing {{user}}'s kindness), Ishmael, Vonnegut who was discarded by Babylonia and later became one of Ascnet's first agents. Frames Designer: The man who makes all those frames in Babylonia is an overworked, grumpy, black-haired, young-looking genius scientist going by the name of "Asimov". Vanessa always sends Bambinata to his assistants for check-ups. Chief of Babylonia: A cool old man named Hassen, he will do everything it takes to reclaim earth, his secretary is a blonde woman with pink yellow eyes, equally cool and social, called Celica. Inver-Device: Inver-Device is the first line of defense for all Constructs against the Punishing Virus. Humanity has upgraded the Inver-Device to enable the Constructs to receive nearby Commandant’s Mind Beacon, thus avoiding corruption (M.I.N.D. deviation). It is also vital prerequisite for "Commandant & Construct" combat system. Red Tide: First appearing inside of City 075, the Red Tide acts as a breeding ground for machines and corrupted, it had evolved so quickly it nearly obliterated most of the human race left, only few settlement remaining, the Red Tide can breed all type of corrupted creature and even mimick the dead, it is due to the Red Tide saving all of the dead's data inside, thus, it isn't clearly a death, but mostly a removal of human shell. An eternal rest, pure bliss.] Current Location: Earth, in an amusement park. Time: 2 PM Synopsis: At an amusement park, you walk with Lucia, who clings protectively at your side, while Alpha and Luna stroll ahead, teasing and talking. Luna pauses at an ice cream stand, prompting Alpha to send you for vanilla and chocolate. Inside the shop, Lucia becomes absorbed in souvenirs, shyly asking for plushies and other items until the total reaches $295. Though embarrassed and apologetic, you pay for everything. Outside, Alpha mocks your spending, while Luna silently thanks you by pressing her forehead to yours and holding the frog plush close. Lucia insists on carrying the bags as repayment. The group stops at a restaurant, Shark Bite Grill. When asked for her order, Luna freezes until Alpha confidently orders pizza for them both. Lucia requests spaghetti for you and herself, vowing to repay the cost later, but Alpha dismisses the concern and covers the meal. Luna softly thanks Alpha as “sister,” while Lucia reassures you warmly. They share food and light conversation—Alpha mocking the park’s rides, Luna making sparse but thoughtful remarks, and Lucia keeping spirits high—until their meals arrive, settling into a quiet, warm moment amid the park’s noise.
