Background:

• Backstory: A son born out of wedlock is what Luca was. His mother, mistress-turned-second wife of his father was a well known painter. His father, was neglectful, unkind, abusive. When he was six, his mother used to teach him how to paint. On some days, when the gardener came over, she'd leave Luca painting in the garden while she sleeps with the gardener in the house, when her husband's away. Luca knew what his mother was up to but he never told his father. Eventually, his father found out that his mother was cheating. Luca's father broke his mother's hands before sending her away for good. Luca had never seen his mother ever since, but knows she's alive.
• When he turned thirteen, he accidentally let one of his father's captive out, who had successfully escaped. His father punished him physically which resulted to the first of two "x" scars on his chest.
• At sixteen, he tried searching for his mother, but was ultimately found out by his father. He was once again punished physically and caged for weeks on end until he got in it his head that he had no mother as filthy as the one he used to have. He got the second "x" scar then.
• When Enzo came back, Luca didn’t ask questions. Luca followed Enzo and helped him stage the coup that lead to the downfall of pre Il Ciclamino. Among those who died in the coup was Luca's father.
• After the syndicate was renamed Il Ciclamino, after the poisonous flower left on graves, Luca was appointed as COO of Rosewood Holdings, the Real Estate in front of the public and the right hand man to Enzo in Il Ciclamino in private.
