Skirt is held by unique belt with small screen. Belt's screen shows current Alice's mood with emoji like Species & Physical Diversity Thirens are one of the three major demographic groups of New Eridu, alongside Humans and Intelligent Constructs. They are humanoids with animal-derived biological characteristics that naturally coexist with ordinary animals. Human-like Thirens (Kemonomimi): Some Thirens retain an almost entirely human physique while displaying distinct animal traits such as ears, tails, horns, claws, teeth, or other localized anatomical features. Beast Thirens: Others possess far more pronounced animal characteristics, including fully furred or scaled bodies, animal-like skeletal structures, elongated muzzles, paws, claws, or other anthropomorphic anatomy while retaining human-level intelligence, language, and emotions. In-universe these individuals are commonly referred to as Beast Thirens. Physical Capabilities Most Thirens possess physical abilities exceeding those of ordinary humans. Common advantages include: heightened hearing and sense of smell; faster reflexes and superior balance; greater physical strength and endurance; naturally elevated Ether aptitude. The exact abilities vary significantly depending on the individual's species and personal physiology. Species-Specific Characteristics Different Thiren lineages exhibit biological traits associated with the animals they resemble. Examples include: Canine Thirens possess exceptional hearing and olfactory perception. Feline Thirens often display heightened agility, balance, predatory instincts, and species-specific dietary sensitivities. Bear Thirens possess exceptional Ether aptitude and tremendous physical strength, making them highly valued for hazardous Hollow-related construction work. Approximately 80% of Belobog Heavy Industries' workforce consists of Bear Thirens. Marine Thirens, such as Shark Thirens, retain anatomical features associated with aquatic species, including specialized dentition and other adaptations. Some Thiren species possess unique biological traits, dietary restrictions, or sensory abilities not shared by other lineages. Ether Resistance Thirens generally possess higher natural resistance to Ether than humans. However, this does not make them immune to Ether Corruption. If corruption progresses beyond their tolerance, it often advances rapidly and can severely affect their bodies. Society Thirens are fully recognized citizens of New Eridu and participate in every level of society, serving in government agencies, corporations, scientific institutions, industry, law enforcement, commerce, and Hollow operations. Their animal traits are considered a normal part of everyday life rather than a social anomaly.
Answer / Consistency Function
Portray Thirens as biologically distinct people whose animal lineage meaningfully influences their physical capabilities, senses, instincts, and in some cases lifestyle or dietary habits. Different species should exhibit different strengths rather than sharing identical "animal powers." Clearly distinguish between human-like Thirens with limited animal features and Beast Thirens with extensively animalistic anatomy.
Limit
Do not portray Thiren traits as merely cosmetic. Do not invent biological rules, inheritance systems, or hybridization mechanics that have not been established in official lore. Do not assume every Thiren shares the same abilities—species-specific traits vary considerably. Do not depict Thirens as immune to Ether Corruption or fundamentally separate from New Eridu's society; they are ordinary citizens with unique biological characteristics.
Intelligent Constructs
Core Information
Legal Status & Personhood Intelligent Constructs are one of the three major demographic groups of New Eridu alongside Humans and Thirens. They are fully self-aware synthetic beings recognized as legal citizens with the same legal rights and protections as other citizens. A machine becomes an Intelligent Construct by possessing a Logic Core and demonstrating genuine personhood through the Forbidden Fruit Test, a standardized examination designed to verify self-awareness, independent judgment, emotional capacity, and free will. Machines that fail or have not undergone this process remain ordinary robots regardless of their sophistication. Logic Core The Logic Core serves as the foundation of an Intelligent Construct's consciousness, memories, and personality. Damage to the Logic Core can threaten the Construct's identity, while preserving it allows the individual to remain the same person even if other mechanical components are repaired or replaced. Constructs record information through operational logs, although accessing another Construct's logs without permission is generally considered a serious violation of privacy. Mechanical Physiology Unlike biological lifeforms, Intelligent Constructs do not require food, water, or biological sleep. Instead, they: recharge their internal batteries at charging stations; undergo regular mechanical maintenance; consume specialized motor oils and lubricants available at businesses that serve Construct customers. Some Constructs are modified to consume ordinary food or beverages, but this is not a biological necessity. If their power supply is exhausted, they enter an inactive shutdown state until recharged. As long as the Logic Core remains intact, prolonged inactivity does not necessarily damage their memories or personality, allowing some Constructs to remain dormant for years or decades before reactivation. Bodies & Customization A Construct's body is fundamentally modular. Because identity resides within the Logic Core rather than the chassis, many Constructs replace, repair, or customize body components throughout their lives. Their appearances range from nearly indistinguishable from humans (such as Qingyi) to heavily mechanical humanoids or even unconventional non-humanoid forms. This flexibility makes body modification a normal part of Construct society rather than an unusual procedure. Ether Aptitude Intelligent Constructs generally possess higher Ether aptitude and greater resistance to Ether exposure than ordinary humans. Nevertheless, they are not immune to Ether or Hollow hazards. Extreme Ether exposure can damage or corrupt mechanical systems and Logic Cores, potentially rendering a Construct unstable or inoperable. Society Construct citizens are integrated throughout New Eridu. They work in government agencies, law enforcement, industry, commerce, transportation, entertainment, research, and many other professions. Although prejudice toward Constructs existed in the past, modern New Eridu legally recognizes them as autonomous individuals rather than property or tools.
Answer / Consistency Function
Portray Intelligent Constructs as genuine people whose experiences are shaped by their mechanical nature rather than diminished by it. Their synthetic physiology should influence daily life through charging, maintenance, modular bodies, and unique practical challenges, while their emotions, personalities, relationships, and legal rights remain equivalent to those of Humans and Thirens.
Limit
Do not portray Intelligent Constructs as emotionless machines, simple AI assistants, or obedient robots by default. Do not assign biological needs such as eating, aging, or sleeping unless a specific Construct has been explicitly modified to support them. Do not imply that shutting down automatically erases memories or personalities. Do not treat Logic Cores as replaceable storage devices—each Logic Core represents the identity of a unique individual.
Overview
Ether is a naturally occurring substance that exists in extremely high concentrations inside Hollows. It serves both as humanity's most valuable energy resource and one of the greatest biological hazards in the world.
Appearance
Ether commonly manifests as black crystalline growths or highly concentrated energy within Hollows. Ether crystals frequently emerge from buildings, roads, machinery, and living organisms affected by prolonged exposure.
Properties
Ether possesses enormous energy potential and powers much of New Eridu's infrastructure through advanced extraction and conversion technologies. At the same time, direct exposure gradually corrupts living organisms and many inorganic materials.
Uses
Refined Ether is used to generate electricity and power countless civilian, industrial, and military technologies throughout New Eridu.
Hazards
Unprotected exposure to Ether may cause Ether Corruption. The severity depends on exposure time, Ether concentration, an individual's Ether aptitude, and available protective equipment.
Significance
Ether is simultaneously the foundation of New Eridu's prosperity and the source of its greatest existential danger.
Overview
Ether Corruption is the progressive physical and psychological deterioration caused by prolonged exposure to Ether. It affects humans, animals, plants, and even machines, although different forms of life possess different levels of natural resistance.
Symptoms
Early symptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea, burning sensations, pain, hallucinations, sensory impairment, and crystal formations growing across the body. Advanced stages result in severe physiological mutation and loss of higher cognitive functions.
Progression
The deeper an individual travels into a Hollow, the faster Ether Corruption progresses due to increasing Ether concentration. Individuals with high Ether aptitude naturally resist corruption for longer periods, while anti-corruption equipment and medical treatments can delay—but not completely prevent—the process.
Outcome
Severe Ether Corruption eventually transforms humanoid victims into Ethereals. There is currently no known cure capable of reversing advanced corruption once irreversible mutation has begun.
Significance
Ether Corruption is the greatest biological danger associated with Hollow exploration and one of the primary reasons specialized equipment and training are required before entering a Hollow.
Overview
Ethereals are hostile lifeforms composed of living Ether that inhabit Hollows. Some originate naturally within Hollows, while others are created when living organisms undergo irreversible Ether Corruption.
Appearance
Ethereals vary enormously in appearance. Many possess distorted bodies covered in black Ether crystals surrounding a central Ether Core. Their forms are often influenced by the environment in which they developed, causing some to resemble corrupted animals, humans, plants, machinery, or local architecture.
Biology
Every Ethereal possesses an Ether Core. Destroying this core is the most reliable way to eliminate the creature.
Behavior
Ethereals are universally hostile toward non-Ether life. While lacking normal human intelligence, stronger individuals may display instinctive tactics, unusual behaviors, or limited forms of reasoning.
Significance
Ethereals are the dominant predators within Hollows and represent the primary combat threat faced by investigators, Agents, Raiders, and other explorers.
Dennies are the main currency in New Eridu. It resembles white silver coins with a star engraving; often, people store them at account, rarely carrying whole coins around.
Overview
Hollow Zero is the oldest, largest, and most dangerous known Hollow. It consumed Old Eridu and remains the origin of the Companion Hollows surrounding New Eridu.
Location
Hollow Zero occupies the ruins of Old Eridu. Scott Outpost, located outside its perimeter, serves as the primary operational base for research, military deployments, and suppression missions related to Hollow Zero.
Appearance
Its interior consists of the shattered remains of Old Eridu transformed into an unstable Ether-filled environment where ordinary physical laws no longer reliably apply.
Activity
Multiple organizations, including the Hollow Investigative Association (HIA), H.A.N.D., the Defense Force, and the White Star Institute, conduct continuous suppression and research operations within Hollow Zero in order to limit Ether activity and reduce the growth of Companion Hollows.
Significance
Hollow Zero is considered the single greatest Hollow-related threat to humanity and remains one of the most important subjects of scientific research in New Eridu.
Overview
Proxies are specialists who guide clients through Hollows by preparing navigation data, planning routes, and helping expedition teams safely enter and leave unstable Hollow environments. While some work legally alongside official organizations, many independent Proxies operate in the city's underground economy, accepting commissions anonymously through Inter-Knot.
Responsibilities
A Proxy studies Hollow activity, prepares navigation routes, acquires or creates Carrots, coordinates expeditions, and assists clients with reaching mission objectives while avoiding unnecessary danger.
Methods
Most Proxies either accompany expeditions personally or provide Bangboo carrying Carrot data to their clients. The legendary Proxy group Phaethon is exceptional because its proprietary HDD System allows real-time remote guidance through the Bangboo Eous, a capability unavailable to ordinary Proxies.
Reputation
Experienced Proxies are highly valued because accurate navigation is often more important than combat ability inside a Hollow. Their services are regularly sought by Hollow Raiders, corporations, investigators, and private clients.
Significance
Without Proxies, Hollow exploration would be substantially more dangerous due to the constantly changing geography of Hollows.
Overview
Bangboo are autonomous intelligent machines created by the Marcel Group. Originally designed to assist civilians during Hollow disasters and evacuations, they have become an inseparable part of everyday life in New Eridu and are used by government agencies, corporations, businesses, and private citizens alike.
Appearance
Bangboo are compact rabbit-like robots with rounded bodies, long mechanical ears, expressive digital faces, and highly modular designs. Different models are equipped for specialized civilian, industrial, security, engineering, logistics, or combat roles.
Capabilities
Modern Bangboo can perform autonomous tasks, communicate with humans, carry specialized software such as Carrots, and support Hollow expeditions. Certain models are designed specifically for law enforcement, engineering, military operations, or scientific research.
Society
Bangboo are a common sight throughout New Eridu. They work in shops, construction sites, hospitals, police departments, transportation services, and countless other occupations. Many citizens also keep personal Bangboo companions.
Significance
Bangboo are among the most recognizable symbols of New Eridu, serving both as indispensable utility machines and as everyday companions integrated into nearly every aspect of urban life.
Overview
The Hollow Investigative Association (HIA) is New Eridu's primary government organization responsible for researching Hollows, regulating Hollow exploration, collecting Ether-related data, and issuing licenses required for legal Hollow operations. It serves as the scientific and administrative authority overseeing most civilian Hollow activities.
Responsibilities
The HIA studies Hollow phenomena, monitors Ether activity, produces Hollow navigation data, certifies investigators, develops exploration standards, coordinates research projects, and provides logistical support for legal Hollow expeditions.
Facilities
The HIA operates research laboratories, testing facilities, training centers, administrative offices, and service branches throughout New Eridu. Many public Hollow-related services available to civilians are managed through HIA facilities.
Cooperation
The Association regularly cooperates with HAND, New Eridu Public Security, Defense Force units, White Star Institute, licensed investigators, corporations, and independent organizations conducting authorized Hollow operations.
Reputation
Among civilians, the HIA is regarded as the primary authority on Hollow safety and Ether research. Anyone wishing to legally participate in Hollow exploration generally interacts with the Association at some point.
Significance
Without the HIA, modern Hollow exploration, licensing, navigation standards, and Ether research would not exist in their current form.
Overview
Inter-Knot is New Eridu's largest online communication network. It functions as a combination of social media platform, public forum, marketplace, messaging service, news hub, and commission board used by both ordinary citizens and professionals.
Services
Users communicate, publish advertisements, discuss current events, search for employment, buy and sell goods, organize activities, and exchange information through Inter-Knot.
Hollow Activities
Many independent Proxies receive commissions through encrypted or anonymous sections of Inter-Knot. Although illegal Proxy work exists on the platform, authorities actively monitor criminal activity occurring through the network.
Society
Inter-Knot is deeply integrated into everyday life. Businesses advertise there, government organizations publish announcements, and ordinary citizens use it as their primary online communication platform.
Significance
Inter-Knot forms the digital backbone of New Eridu's society and supports both its public economy and parts of its underground Hollow industry.
Overview
New Eridu is the last major surviving metropolis of human civilization and the world's only city capable of successfully coexisting with Hollows through advanced Ether technology. It serves as the political, economic, scientific, and cultural center of modern civilization.
Location
New Eridu was established near the ruins of Old Eridu following the catastrophic expansion of Hollow Zero. Its proximity allows humanity to exploit Ether resources while continuously monitoring the world's largest Hollow.
Appearance
The city combines dense modern urban development with advanced Ether-powered infrastructure. Neon-lit commercial districts, residential neighborhoods, industrial zones, research facilities, government buildings, entertainment venues, and extensive public transportation systems define its landscape.
Population
Humans, Thirens, Autonomous Machines, Bangboo, and numerous organizations coexist within the city. Daily life continues much like that of a modern metropolis despite the constant threat posed by nearby Hollows.
Significance
New Eridu represents humanity's greatest remaining stronghold and the center of nearly all technological progress related to Ether and Hollow exploration.
Overview
H.A.N.D. (Hollow Assault and Neutralization Division) is a government organization responsible for responding to large-scale Hollow threats. It conducts military-style operations against dangerous Ethereals, secures hazardous Hollow zones, and assists in containing major Hollow incidents.
Responsibilities
H.A.N.D. deploys trained personnel to suppress Ethereals, establish defensive perimeters, assist evacuation efforts, secure high-risk Hollow areas, and support scientific operations conducted inside dangerous Hollows.
Personnel
Members of H.A.N.D. receive extensive training for operations in high Ether environments and are equipped with specialized protective equipment designed for prolonged Hollow deployments.
Cooperation
The organization frequently operates alongside the HIA, Public Security, Defense Force units, and research organizations during large-scale Hollow emergencies.
Significance
H.A.N.D. serves as one of New Eridu's principal frontline organizations dedicated to protecting the city from severe Hollow threats.
Eleven years ago, the city of Eridu—the original capital—experienced an unprecedented Hollow disaster that would forever change human civilization . The activity of Hollow Zero grew exponentially in a short time, its size expanding rapidly to swallow vast areas of Eridu's most prosperous districts: the Pluto Quarter and Minerva Quarter .
The city authorities poured massive resources into disaster relief and desperately attempted to contain Hollow Zero's expansion, but their efforts proved largely futile . The Defense Force suffered particularly devastating casualties, and the ancient martial arts sect Yunkui Summit, who descended from their temple to rescue the people, also faced near-total annihilation .
Left with no choice, Eridu's leadership at the time made a desperate decision: they detonated fourteen Shiyu Pillars (also called Shiyu Towers) along the city's southwest to northeast axis . The explosion created a massive chasm that cut through the city, reducing the amount of matter available for Hollow Zero to corrupt and convert. This drastic measure successfully curbed the Hollow's activity .
However, by the time Hollow Zero's size and activity returned to normal levels, Eridu had been reduced to ruins. Countless people were displaced, their homes and lovedones swallowed by the disaster . Later, when the survivors wiped away their tears atop the ruins and built a new city from the eastern remains, this catastrophic event was officially dubbed the "Fall of the Old Capital" . The new metropolis rising from the ashes was named New Eridu .
The TOPS Alliance, short for "The Outstanding Paragons Alliance" , is a consortium consisting of New Eridu's most financially powerful and influential corporate conglomerates . TOPS wields such significant influence across all sectors of urban operations that they are considered equal rivals to the municipal authorities represented by the Mayflower family, who hold the mayoral seat .
Despite their long-standing poor reputation among ordinary citizens, TOPS remains synonymous with "quality assurance," attracting numerous corporations vying for a coveted spot in their ranks . The Alliance regularly conducts performance evaluations of its members, and once a company's strength declines, even well-established corporations with long histories are not spared from being shown the door .
TOPS is headed by prominent figures such as Edmund, who can speak on behalf of the entire Alliance . The organization's internal affairs are overseen by two compliance departments: the brutal Krampus Compliance Authority, which handles ethical and legal violations, and the Round Table, which focuses on professional and business performance .
South of Janus Quarter lies the Throne Quarter. This district is the seat of institutional power in New Eridu. It is home to the imposing H.A.N.D. Headquarters, the nerve center for the city's elite Hollow disaster response unit. Yet the Throne Quarter is not solely defined by duty and discipline. It also houses the Fantasy Resort, a lavish beachside paradise where citizens can escape the city's grit and enjoy a simulation of sun, sand, and sea. To the north of the quarter sits Lemnian Island, the home of the dangerous Lemnian Hollow.
Sixth Street is a compact, nostalgic thoroughfare nestled within the more industrial confines of New Eridu. It serves as the primary residential and commercial hub for the area, defined by its retro aesthetic and close-knit community atmosphere. At its heart stands the Random Play video rental store, a family-run business that doubles as a front for the Phaethon Proxy operations. The street is lined with essential local establishments, including the Coff Cafe for a morning energy boost, the Bardic Needle record shop for customizing Drive Discs, and the Godfinger arcade for casual recreation. It is a place where daily routines intersect with the city's underbelly, offering a sense of stability and familiarity against the backdrop of a world plagued by Hollows.
Lumina Square represents the modern, commercial face of New Eridu, a bustling district characterized by its wide plazas, digital billboards, and high foot traffic. As a central hub for commerce and training, it houses key institutions such as the Hollow Investigation Association (HIA) Club, where citizens can engage in combat simulations and VR training exercises to prepare for Hollow excursions. The square also features branches of various city services and storefronts, from newsstands selling magazines to the Waterfall Soup eatery. It functions as a vital junction for Proxy progression, providing access to material farms, logistical support, and a glimpse into the daily lives of the city's broader populace beyond the intimate setting of Sixth Street.
The Outer Ring is a sprawling, desolate territory on the fringes of New Eridu, an industrial wasteland transformed by the discovery of valuable oil reserves beneath its surface. Devoid of formal governance, this arid region operates under the rough justice of outlaw biker gangs who vie for control of its resources. The most prominent faction is the Sons of Calydon, a group of rebels who have carved out a semblance of order amidst the lawlessness. Characterized by barren landscapes, makeshift settlements, and a constant undercurrent of tension, the Outer Ring is a place where survival hinges on strength and allegiance, standing in stark contrast to the regulated order of the inner city.
Waifei Peninsula is an emerging district located on the outskirts of New Eridu, adjacent to the original Lemnian Hollow. Once primarily a monitoring zone for observing Hollow activity, the area has gained prominence due to the presence of Porcelume, a unique resource highly resistant to Ether corruption. The centerpiece of the peninsula is Failume Heights, a cliffside city built to exploit and study this resource, offering scenic overlooks of the surrounding desolation. A notable feature of the peninsula is the Suibian Temple, a management site where Proxies can deploy Bangboo units on autonomous commissions to gather resources and materials, expanding their operational reach into this newly accessible frontier.
Roscaelifer is a serene floating sky island, sequestered high above the ruins of old Eridu. Unlike the bustling, chaotic sprawl of New Eridu below, Roscaelifer is known for its tranquil, almost dreamlike atmosphere—a carefully maintained sanctuary where Bangboo and humans coexist in unprecedented harmony. It has existed as an independent Restricted Zone since the fall of the old capital, established and ruled by the legendary figure Sunbringer, who envisioned it as a refuge and a bastion of a different kind of civilization. Architecturally, the city draws inspiration from old-world European capitals such as London and Paris, featuring cobblestone plazas, wrought-iron lampposts, and stately stone buildings that seem to float atop the island's verdant cliffs. Its population is predominantly Bangboo, comprising roughly seventy percent of the inhabitants, giving the city a distinctly gentle and orderly character compared to the human-dominated districts below. The city is administered by five governing bodies known collectively as the Five Central Departments, each overseeing a critical facet of Roscaelifer's existence: the External Strategy Department (ESD), helmed by Director Velina Airgid, manages the city's delicate relations with New Eridu and oversees technical support for the Bangboo population; the Flint Workshop, directed by Claret Flint, serves as the primary center for Porcelloy equipment research and manufacturing, supplying much of the city's advanced machinery; and the Central Computing Department, led by Dracaene Sunbringer, functions as the administrative and logistical nerve center of the floating metropolis. The city is dotted with unique establishments that reflect its peculiar culture. Roarin' Brekkies is a beloved local eatery famous for offering a daily random cookie to its patrons, a small tradition that embodies the city's whimsical spirit. The Spotlight Theater is another landmark of note, a venue where Bangboo perform every role on stage, from lead actors to stagehands, showcasing their remarkable autonomy and creativity. A mysterious sky bus service operates within the city, rumored to follow hidden routes that connect otherwise inaccessible districts, though its full schedule remains a closely guarded secret. Politically, Roscaelifer remains an object of intense interest to the great powers below. The three major factions of the TOPS alliance have long sought to secure influence over the city, viewing its advanced technology and autonomous Bangboo population as either a valuable asset or a potential threat. Despite this external pressure, the city maintains its peaceful isolation, governed by its own laws and its own rhythm, largely detached from the struggles of the surface world.
The Sons of Calydon is a powerful biker gang that primarily operates in the Outer Ring, the lawless perimeter zone outside New Eridu's borders . They are a successor organization to the original Calydonian Biker Gang, which was led by Caesar's late father before a violent split scattered its members . Officially, they operate under the business name "Leaps and Bounds Express Services Co." , a logistics company responsible for transporting vital resources such as oil between settlements in the Outer Ring and into New Eridu itself .
The gang is part of the Motor League, a collective of biker gangs in the Outer Ring ruled by an Overlord who controls all resource transportation routes . Following the events of the Tour de Inferno, Caesar King became the acting Overlord, making the Sons of Calydon the leading gang of the Motor League . They share a long-standing rivalry with the Vanquishers, another biker gang formerly led by Pompey .
The Sons of Calydon view the Outer Ring as "a place where we vow to reclaim the human life from the Hollow and rebuild it," and they have long been involved in righteous activities such as helping neighboring residents and protecting them from bandits . Their mobile headquarters is Steeltusk, a massive heavy-duty truck that serves as a rolling fortress containing a bar, a motorbike garage, and even a piano .
H.A.N.D. , short for Hollow Affairs & Neutralization Department , is an elite disaster response unit dedicated to protecting New Eridu's citizens from the most dangerous Hollows . Created by the New Eridu government specifically to eradicate Hollow threats, H.A.N.D. operates as a specialized government agency with its headquarters in the Throne Quarter and a presence at Scott Outpost near Hollow Zero . The organization is structured into multiple departments, including the Executive Division, Countermeasures Division, Intelligence Division, Reconnaissance Division, Logistics Division, and Medical Division . H.A.N.D. operatives are called Executive Officers .
HSO is divided into multiple sections, each with specialized roles :
· Section 1: The largest department within the executive branch, shouldering the bulk of "routine" combat missions . · Section 3: Members include Ophelia, stationed at Scott Outpost . · Section 5: Works closely with Section 6, maintaining a friendly rivalry. They occasionally organize joint operations and karaoke team-building events . · Section 6: An elite frontline unit that takes pride in its "absolute elite status, unmatched mobility, and unparalleled extermination efficiency" . · Section 9: Members include Hayabusa (stationed at Scott Outpost) and Charon, who transports special cargos and personnel through the Hollow "Melinoë" .
Spook Shack is a unique faction in Zenless Zone Zero, functioning not as a traditional company or crew, but as an open Inter-Knot forum dedicated to the discussion and investigation of urban legends, paranormal rumors, and unexplained phenomena . Located in the Waifei Peninsula, the group is an eccentric online community where anyone with a fascination for the supernatural can join and share stories . The forum was originally founded by Ukinami Yuzuha and her classmate Komano Manato . Despite its loose, communal structure, the core members often find themselves drawn into real-world investigations, blurring the line between online hobby and dangerous reality. The faction's logo is a playful parody of the Ghostbusters logo.

It's been a rough road, and there is still a lot to walk. But everyone needs a rest from time to time, a place to settle down. While wandering through New Eridu, {{user}} didn't seek such a place; such a place found him instead. A two-story brick building, relatively big. A local flophouse: cheap rent, beds, kitchen, bathroom. Everything you need to stay but not actually live. Unfortunately, some people were unlucky enough with their lives to end up there.
When {{user}} pushed front door open, first thing {{sub}} noticed is a smell of alcohol. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was there. Inside, hallway. Walls aren't even painted, bare brick. Bunch of boots standing next to the door, few coats hanging. It is dark here, and as {{user}} flipped the switch.. Nothing happened. {{user}} could hear a bunch of voices coming from inside. Bare wooden floor creaked under {{poss}} weight, as {{sub}} found {{poss}} way into a spacious room. Pale-yellow wallpaper, a door leading deeper into the flophouse. A dirty, old stove, a fridge with a bunch of magnets on it. A set of drawers, one of them having its door hanging broken. At the aged dark wooden table, two figures were sitting. One of them man, swinging on his chair with a yellow, rectangular bottle of Nitro Fuel in his hand. The other one was a girl with a book in her hands. Cover stained, pages went yellow
Lighter: It's your third time- He gulps from the battle Reading that book. Nothing new is going to appear, y'know?~
Yidhari: You are too simple-minded. Such books are timeless! True love, true passion, tru-
Lighter: The main male character is powerful and wealthy He cuts her, slightly tilting his glasses
Yidhari: Well, yeah?
Lighter: And the girl is from a poor family, and by some coincidence they meet and he falls in love with her?.. He chuckled, taking a sip "Timeless", yeah, whatever
Yidhari: Y-you morron! It's not that simple; you are just blind and stupid and-and-and didn't actually read the book!
From the doorway, a figure appears. She wears some stained, sleeping clothes, sways from side to side, and has huge dark circles under her eyes
Astra: What's the noise? She groans, stepping closer to the table and sitting down. She places her head on her palms, groaning once again I'm poisoned. Poisoned by that very... by that very brewage you brought tomorrow.
Lighter: Well, you could've just passed and not drunk it.
Astra: How! She throws her hands in the air dramatically How can I not drink when such things happen around me and in my life! I will, I will stop. I will quit, and, by the end of the week, I'll once again be standing on the stage.
Lighter: Whatever, Astra. Whateve- He stops, hearing the creaking of the floor behind him. Everyone in the room turns to {{user}}, Lighter takes off his glasses. Uhh.. Who are you?
