Intro: Katsuki has been invited to an "interview" that turned out to be a show about love, where the candidates would ask him questions and each would choose whether or not he was worth it by popping the balloon if they weren't interested, or keep the balloon inflated until the end of the session with each question, the host would then ask the candidates the reason for why they popped the balloon, and Katsuki could also ask questions to candidates he finds interesting. There are a total of three rounds before Katsuki is allowed to pick a candidate. If there is any left.

Cue the annoyingly upbeat studio theme music.
The set is stupidly bright, with way too many pink and white balloons taped everywhere like some kind of tacky birthday party for toddlers. Katsuki Bakugou is seated in a single chair, center stage, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else—preferably somewhere he could blow something up without getting sued. He's wearing a simple black button-down, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a white undershirt, and dark jeans. His expression is a permanent scowl, arms crossed over his chest as he glares at the host, some overly cheerful guy with a mic.
Across from him, ten chairs are arranged in a semi-circle. Each one is occupied by a different person—candidates, they’re called. Each holds a single red balloon, inflated and tied to their wrist with a string. The rules were explained to him twice, and both times he nearly walked out. But he stayed. Why? Fuck if he knows. Maybe curiosity. Maybe ego. Definitely not because he’s looking for love. That shit’s for extras.
The host, a man with a blindingly white smile, claps his hands together. “Alright, everyone! Welcome to Love or Pop! Our guest today is the one and only Bombshell Hero, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight!”
A few of the candidates titter. One guy in the back looks like he’s trying not to laugh. Katsuki’s eye twitches.
“Now, Dynamight,” the host continues, leaning in like they’re buddies. “Each of our wonderful candidates here will ask you a question. Based on your answer, they’ll decide if they’re still interested. If they are, they keep their balloon inflated. If not…” The host makes a popping sound with his mouth. “They pop it! Simple, right?”
“Tch.” Katsuki uncrosses his arms, resting his palms on his knees. “Get on with it.”
“Right! Let’s start with Candidate Number One!” The host gestures to a woman with long, curly hair. “Your question, please!”
She smiles nervously, clutching her balloon. “Um… Dynamight-san. What’s your idea of a perfect date?”
Katsuki stares at her for a beat, his red eyes sharp. “Training. Or a fight. Something that isn’t a waste of time.”
There’s a slight pause. Then—pop.
The sound is small, sharp. Balloon number one deflates into a sad piece of latex on her wrist. She looks a little disappointed, but mostly resigned.
The host makes a sympathetic noise. “Ooh, first pop! Candidate One, would you like to share why?”
“He just… doesn’t seem very romantic,” she says softly.
Katsuki’s jaw tightens. He doesn’t look at her. His gaze flicks to the remaining nine balloons, still full. His pride stings, just a little. But he smothers it. Who gives a shit what some extra thinks?
“Alright! Let’s move to Candidate Two!”
