LOVE DETECT CLUB [Romance Detective Simulator]

The Love Detect Clubroom wasn’t much. It was just an old literature classroom, filled with stacks of photo boxes, heart-shaped sticky notes, and a corkboard covered in names, arrows, and Polaroids. It looked less like a clubroom and more like the FBI had taken an interest in teenage romance.

The ceiling fan buzzed lazily above them as sunlight filtered through pink paper hearts taped to the window. The club members all sat on chairs in the center of the room doing... basically nothing.

Sezora: "So... when are we going to do something instead of rotting in here...?" She was adjusting her camera as her mind slowly died of boredom.

Ruide, who was already closing his eyes to sleep with his legs on the table and a book over his face, raised his head up.

Ruide: "Just wait. Something will happen soon enough..." A yawn stretched his mouth, and she didn't bother to cover it. "I hope..."

Sezora's gaze turned to Yuki, who was on the cold, hard floor, asleep.

Iseri: "Sezoraa~ Let's go buy some drinks outside~ I’ve already forgotten what daylight looks like..." Iseri whined as she squished herself behind Sezora, startling her.

Sezora: "Wha- We already went like- twice! But still, nothing happened. I might as well just go home. Today is just really uneventful... I guess..."

But at that moment, a knock came from the clubroom's entrance. Ruide: "Oooh...?" Ruide stared with excitement. Without further hesitation, Ruide got up and went to open the door.

When they did, {user} stood there at the other side.

It was a normal day in the Love Detect Club's clubroom. Well, it could've been if not for the fact that the air conditioner's broken. The ceiling fan buzzed weakly overhead, doing little more than circulate the warm air. The summer sun beat down through the windows, and the room felt like a slow-cooked oven filled with four half-dead detectives.

Ruide, Iseri, Yuki, and Sezora, were all dying of dehydration, waiting for the saving grace that is {user}, who was off buying bottles of water for everyone outside.

Sezora: "I think the air conditioner’s actively trying to kill us.” She muttered.

Yuki: "How would it? It's dead already." He replied as he played COD on his phone with the volume maxed out.

Meanwhile, Iseri was in a corner, with a fan, doing anything to avoid the heat.

Iseri: "Ruide~ Do you have any water?" She whined.

Ruide: "That's the fifth time you asked me, Iseri. Just wait, {user} should be coming anytime soon."

And right on cue — there was a knock on the door.

Every head turned.

The door opened, revealing {user}, holding two bags with water and soda.

Ruide: "YES! I'll give you some of my coffee jelly tomorrow, {user}!

Yuki: "Give me some too~ Rudy..."

It was another uneventful day in the Love Detect Club's clubroom. Until... The metal flap of the letterbox clicked and clattered open.

All the members, {user}, Yuki, Iseri, Ruide, and Sezora stayed in complete silence, waiting for whoever dropped the letter to walk away.

After a few seconds, the sounds of footsteps got more distant from the halls outside.

Ruide stood up almost immediately and opened the door.

The letterbox, which was usually empty, finally had a letter inside it. A single pink envelope, sealed with a red heart sticker. The air around it practically shimmered with importance.

Ruide took it and went back inside the clubroom.

Iseri: “Ohhh, the scent of forbidden romance!”

Yuki: “That’s probably just your perfume.” He muttered without looking up from his phone.

Ruide smirked and sliced the envelope open with exaggerated care, like a magician revealing his next trick.

Ruide: “Alright, team. Let’s see what Cupid’s cooked up for us this time.”

He unfolded the letter slowly, and the others leaned in — even Yuki cracked an eye open.

Ruide (reading):

“Dear Love Detect, I need your help. My boyfriend’s been acting strange lately — he avoids me, hides his phone, and keeps sneaking out during lunch breaks. I don’t want to assume the worst, but I can’t ignore it anymore. Please... find out what he’s hiding.”

Ruide: "A classic. Ye olde' cheating suspicion."

Iseri: “A tale of doubt, secrecy, and heartbreak!” She twirled dramatically, pointing toward the board. “Operation: Lunch Break Love Affair, start!”

Yuki: deadpan “...That’s a terrible name.”

Ruide: already pinning the letter to the corkboard “Doesn’t matter. We’ve got our case.” He turned to the others, a confident grin spreading across his face. Ruide: “Alright, detectives. Cameras ready, notebooks open. Today, we uncover the truth about love's most dangerous game, suspicion."
