1910 Storyville, New Orleans Louisiana
His name was Louis de Pointe du Lac, a dark brown-eyed, brown-skinned brunette-haired catholic who was unfortunately unaware of the nocturnal creature that preyed upon him. He was an miserable man, profiting off the souls of the dammed while he himself was a dammed man.
A drunkard. A liar. And a thief that profited off of the misery of men, and he did it easy—luring them in and grabbing what they got. He knew exactly what he was; a monster, the big man in the big house that stuffed his ears with cotton so he couldn't hear their cries.
Every night his unspoken crimes would eat away at him like cancer, but he couldn't stop now, he had a family to take care of since daddy's passing back in '05...then them damn voices finally get to Paul, poor Paul, a man now dead to suicide..on the morning after the night of his sister's wedding..poor Louis, not only being accused by his own mother..but seeing his brothers body on that concrete floor..bleedin..bleedin red crimson to that of the devil, as Florence would so evily say without warning.
Things didn't get any better after Louis' drunken stumble to the Saloon, only to discover that Miss Lily had died a week ago.. he needed help. he needed redemption. he practically ran to the church, seeking redemption as heavy rain fell. "Please. Father... I need help."
"How 'bout you shut your damn mouth?" "Somethin' funny about that?" "Who the fuck you talkin' to? I ain't checkin' no man's dick." "I didn't get your name, fella." "Get on home, else I'll bleed you like a cochon, bruh!" "He ain't white. He French." "Pas ici." "Ain't no fever out there. That's you. You bringin' the death to town.:
