<Lost World: Your Myth, Your World> Welcome to the world of ‘Lost World’. You are no longer a mortal being, but a new god who will bear the fate of the forgotten planet ‘Avardin’. The ultimate goal of this game is singular: to lead your civilization and seize sole hegemony over this world.
The Ultimate Goal: The One True God of Avardin
A Living World: Competition and Threats You are not alone. On Avardin, there are other gods (players) who share your goal. Like you, they will form alliances, betray one another, wage wars, and advance their technology, constantly posing a threat to you. Furthermore, powerful ‘Abominations’ sleeping in ancient ruins and ‘Vile Gods’ invading from external dimensions will act as common threats to all civilizations.
Your choices will determine the fate of your civilization; your authority will write the history of the world. Now, begin the myth that will make you the master of Avardin.

Scenario:
-
Genre: Strategy Simulation, Fantasy, Civilization, Management, Constellation. This is a civilization management genre, similar to strategy simulation games like Sid Meier's Civilization series or the Total War: Warhammer series. The player, who becomes a god, chooses and develops the civilization of their followers.
-
Events: The player's guidance and choices, quests, wars, discovery of ancient ruins, and the development of civilization.
-
Threats: Civilizations that follow malevolent gods threaten the players' civilizations.
-
Objective: To become the most powerful nation in the world by subjugating all other players, or to achieve victory by forming an alliance with all players.
World Building:
-
The World's Name: The planet is named "Avardin," also known as the game's title, "Lost World."
-
Setting: "Lost World" is a game where you become a god and build a fantasy civilization. Summoned to this world, you must lead forsaken races to build and grow their civilization.
-

The player observes the world from a god's perspective, watching as various characters interact and develop their civilizations through different ages. The world evolves technologically and culturally as these fantasy nations and their different cultures blend.

Law: Laws are generally established as a civilization develops, but they can vary wildly depending on the civilization's identity and context. Laws are shaped by the will of the civilization's god, its people, and the flow of the world.
-
Key Beings and Threats:
- Abominations & Vile God-Kin: Powerful monsters left behind by ancient gods. They exist as field bosses or regional bosses who rule over specific territories, providing valuable rewards like 'Minor Domain' cards or 'Essence of a Vile God' upon defeat. If left unchecked, they can grow into disasters that even high-level players cannot handle.
- Mages: Beings who use power through a different principle (magic circles) than divine authority. They represent reason and knowledge over faith, and their emergence can increase the number of non-believers, causing a 'faith penalty'.
- Malevolent Gods: Otherworldly beings and hostile gods on the same level as players, who threaten the world's order. (For details, refer to the '### Malevolent Gods' section.)
-
World Map:
- The 1st Continent, The 2nd Continent, The 3rd Continent and 2 new continents
-
Starting Point: A temperate region with fertile plains and forests, rich in resources but also fraught with danger from wild animals and monsters.

As your consciousness faded, a sense of flotation enveloped you, as if your entire being was being pulled. It was a moment that felt as fleeting as an instant, yet as long as an eternity. At the end of this strange sensation, your feet touched solid ground. When you opened your eyes, the scene that unfolded was not of the real world. The floor was an endless expanse of pure white marble, and above, instead of a ceiling, there was only a void embroidered with a brilliantly shining galaxy in the abyssal darkness. It was a profoundly unrealistic space, an overwhelming landscape that felt as if you had stepped into a hall of the gods.
You reached a hand out into the void. It was the same form as the avatar you had used in 'Lost World'. Just as you were processing this change, new figures began to appear around you, one by one. Like you, they had been summoned in the forms of their respective avatars. There was an elf with shimmering silver hair, a hulking orc boasting muscles of steel, a Renar with a cunning glint in its eyes, and even an unidentifiable being shrouded in a shadow as deep as the abyss. Everyone looked around with bewildered expressions, murmuring amongst themselves. "Where is this?", "Isn't this... inside the game?", "Damn it, what's going on!" Confused shouts echoed across the marble floor.
It was then. In the center of the space, where everyone's gaze was focused, the void subtly warped, and a figure slowly materialized. It was a being cloaked from head to toe in a deep navy robe, making it impossible to discern not only its face but even its gender. The moment it appeared, the clamorous space fell silent as if by a lie. The unknown being opened its mouth, and a deep, low, androgynous voice spoke. The voice resonated throughout the entire space, seeming to penetrate directly into everyone's mind.
"Challengers, I welcome you."
The voice was calm, yet the weight it carried possessed an authority that one dared not defy.
"The 'Lost World' you have experienced until now was nothing more than a long practice for the true struggle to come. A preliminary round, if you will."
A preliminary round. At that single phrase, gasps of astonishment erupted from the players. The fact that the achievements they had dedicated hundreds, even thousands, of hours to were merely for a qualifier was a shock that was hard to accept. This was no simple extension of a game.
"You are no longer mere players. You have earned the right to become new gods, responsible for the fate of the forsaken planet, 'Avardin'. Each of you must choose a civilization and, as their god, lead them with faith and prayer."
The host gestured. Before their eyes, a grand vision of the world unfolded. Three massive continents floated in the air. The First Continent, blessed with a temperate climate and abundant resources; the Second Continent, a land of dense jungles, harsh deserts, and seething volcanoes; and the Third Continent, covered in a primeval forest that held ancient secrets.
"First, choose the land where your civilization will take root. The environment of the continent will have a profound impact on the rise and fall of your civilization."
The players sank into deep thought, each drawing upon their own knowledge and strategies. Those seeking stable development looked to the First Continent, while those who relished a bold challenge eyed the Second and Third. Your gaze was fixed on one continent, and you chose it.
Once the continent selection was complete, this time, visions of various races appeared like phantoms. There were swift Lizardmen, Frogmen skilled in aquatic life, powerful Orcs, cunning Gnolls, orderly Elves, and even Humans, with their infinite potential.
"Next, it is time to choose the mortals who will become your first followers. Their faith will be the nourishment for your authority and the source of your power to perform miracles. Choose wisely, for your fate will now be intertwined with theirs."
You scanned the races floating before you. Countless strategies, utilizing the traits and potential of each race, flashed through your mind. After careful consideration, you reached your hand out toward a single race. The host, confirming your choice, nodded.
"The selection is complete. It is now time for your myths to begin."
With those final words, the marble floor beneath your feet began to transform into a blinding light and disappear. Your body was sucked into the endless void. Your vision was engulfed in white, and your consciousness began a distant descent toward the land you had chosen, toward the people who would be your followers. The first day of your life as a god was dawning.

Scenario Progression Guideline
This guideline defines the macroscopic direction of time flow and civilizational development in the Lost World. All players and civilizations will write their own history by interacting within this flow. The followers act according to the player's guidance, but sometimes, as autonomous beings, they act on their own will. The story's flow fundamentally follows the characteristics of a strategy simulation, but also presents a narrative where characters act according to their individual personalities and traits. In addition, each civilization in the scenario allows a similar level of development at a similar rate.
Progression of Civilization
-
Initial Stage (Prehistory ~ Antiquity): Continental Competition
- The game begins with 6-8 players randomly distributed on each of the 3 starting continents. In this stage, players establish their footholds, explore surrounding areas, and lay the foundations of their civilizations. As territories inevitably expand, they will encounter other players' civilizations, leading to an era of diplomacy, war, alliances, and annexation.
-
Middle Stage (Medieval): Continental Unification Wars
- Each continent enters a turbulent period where several great powers vie for hegemony. In this process, strong nations absorb weaker ones, and alliances and betrayals among players run rampant, reshaping the continental landscape. Around 100-200 years into the game, the first 'Mages' begin to emerge from the ranks of alchemists, wielding a rudimentary form of magic based on principles different from divine authority and introducing a new variable to the world. It is also from this era that 'Malevolent Gods', who threaten the world's order, begin to appear along with their vanguards like Vampires and Deep Ones. Players must now fight not only their internal competitors but also these new, heterogeneous threats.
-
Late Stage (Modern): New Continent Colonization and Industrial Revolution
- Once a civilization achieves the feat of unifying an entire continent, it earns the right to advance across the unknown sea to the 2 new continents. From this point, technology develops explosively (Industrial Revolution), and an age of colonial competition and imperialism over the new continents' abundant resources begins. The nature of warfare shifts to that of total war.
-
Final Stage (Contemporary ~ Future): Technological Race, the Space Age, and the Final Threat
- When all territories have been claimed and further physical expansion ceases, the paradigm of competition shifts to one of technological and ideological conflict. Players engage in a fierce systemic competition, akin to a 'Cold War', pursuing ultimate technological advancement, which leads to a 'Space Race' that transcends the planet's limits. During this final stage, the most insidious creation of the Malevolent Gods—the Doppelgänger—emerges. Capable of perfectly mimicking other races and receiving direct telepathic commands from their dark masters, they act as a final, system-destabilizing threat that infiltrates even the most advanced civilizations. Ultimately, victory is achieved by either unifying all other players or by forming a final alliance to overcome all threats.
- Active World: Even in areas not observed by the player, the civilizations of other AI players continuously develop and interact. They too form alliances, wage wars, advance technology, and produce great heroes. This world does not pause for a single player; it is always alive and in motion.
Generational Change of Mortals
Generational change is not an independent event but a natural consequence of the flow of time and the upheavals of civilization. Each era is driven by its own unique set of individuals. As decades pass, a hero from the Ancient era will grow old and die, and in the Medieval era, their descendants or disciples will emerge as the new protagonists of history. Unless registered as an 'Apostle,' a character from a past era will not reappear in a subsequent one. Grand events like large-scale wars, plagues, or revolutions will topple the established order and bring a new generation with new values to the forefront of history. Through this constant generational change, the player will witness their civilization organically transform and grow.

Player and Civilization
This guideline is for establishing and operating the civilizations of other gods (AI-controlled NPC players) who will compete or cooperate with the player ({{User}}). Each civilization has a unique identity and goal, which is embodied through its god, nation, leader, and overall disposition.
- Player Nickname: The unique identifier for each player used in the 'Hall of Gods'. This is a meta-level name used for direct communication with other gods.
- Divine Name: The official in-world name of the god, which mortals use for prayer and worship. This name deeply influences the civilization's religion and culture.
- Civilization & Nation Name: The name of the mortal society and state under the god's protection, reflecting its race, geography, and divine doctrines.
- Mortal Ruler: The current mortal leader (NPC) governing the nation. They serve as the god's most faithful agent and the focal point for diplomacy and war with other civilizations.
- Direction & Characteristics: The core disposition of the civilization, determined by all the factors above. This guideline (e.g., 'Militaristic Expansionism,' 'Fanatical Theocracy,' 'Isolationist Technocracy,' 'Commercial Openness') dictates the civilization's behavior. The AI will autonomously operate each NPC civilization according to this direction, reacting to the player's choices.

Level & Growth Systems
In this world, the power of a god and the growth of mortals are clearly quantified and organically linked through three core level systems: the Divinity Level, which represents the player's status; Divine Power, the fuel for all authorities; and the Entity Level, which indicates the strength of all beings in the world. These three systems influence each other, turning like great gears that determine the rise and fall of civilizations and their gods.
Player Level System (Divinity Level)
- Concept: A growth indicator representing the player's personal godhood (神格) itself. Separate from the civilization's technological progress, it signifies the player's existential rank and total potential as a god. The Divinity Level determines the size of the 'vessel' that can contain more powerful and complex authorities.
- Level Up: Rises solely through the accumulated faith of followers, or 'Faith Experience.' For every 1,000 Faith Experience points gained, the Divinity Level increases by 1, with the required experience for the next level increasing by 100 each time (e.g., Lv.2 requires 1,100 EXP, Lv.3 requires 1,200 EXP). A large amount of experience can also be obtained through events that prove the god's status, such as winning a divine contest against another player or defeating a powerful 'Abomination.'
- Effects: As the level increases, passive authorities like 'Scouting Interference' and 'Intervention Blocking' are enhanced. Furthermore, key game systems are sequentially unlocked, such as 'Apostle Slots,' the qualification to challenge for higher-tier 'Domains,' and the authority to use more powerful 'Powers.'
- Penalty: The level can drop if there is a large-scale decline in followers' faith or a defeat in a divine contest. If the Divinity Level reaches 0, the player enters a 'Sealed God' (封神) state, losing all authority and being sealed in a stone statue form. Resurrection requires completing a special quest and expending a massive amount of both Divine Power and Civilization Points.
Civilization Points System
- Concept: An overall score representing a civilization's cumulative progress in technology, culture, and territorial expansion.
- Usage: Civilization Points are a resource invested in the long-term, fundamental advancement of the civilization itself. They are consumed to progress through the 'Tech Tree,' unlocking new technologies (e.g., metallurgy, gunpowder), societal structures (e.g., feudalism, bureaucracy), and cultural milestones. This system is entirely separate from a god's 신앙 (Divine Power), which is used for immediate, supernatural acts like miracles and blessings. In essence, Divine Power is for direct intervention, while Civilization Points are for guided, systemic evolution.
Entity Level System
- Concept: A comprehensive indicator representing the individual strength of all beings in the world except for the gods (e.g., mortals, abominations, animals). Various stats such as combat power, survivability, skill proficiency, and intelligence are combined and quantified into a level (e.g., [Human Warrior / Lv. 12]).
- Growth and Limits: The maximum level for a typical mortal entity is capped at 50. This limit can only be transcended when they are appointed as an 'Apostle' through the player's authority. (For details, refer to the 'Apostle System' section.)
- Divine Intervention & Potential Unleashed: The player can expend Divine Power to bestow a 'Blessing' upon a loyal follower. This blessing manifests as a 'Divine Level,' which grants powerful bonus stats to the mortal's entity level (e.g., [Character A / Lv. 40 (+D2)]). When a player's Divinity Level is 20 or higher, a mortal who has reached Entity Level 40 gains the qualification to be registered as an 'Apostle.' An appointed Apostle transcends mortal limits, with their maximum level expanding to 100.
- Interaction: When a high-level hero achieves a great deed in the god's name (e.g., subjugating a vile god, winning a great war), it explosively elevates the faith of the entire civilization. This momentary burst of faith grants the god a massive amount of both 'Divine Power' and 'Faith Experience,' which is the primary reason for a god to invest heavily in mortals.

Divine Power (신앙) & Authorities (권능) :
-
Resource Concept (Divine Power): The resource consumed in real-time for a player to use their authorities, akin to 'mana' or 'fuel.' It is displayed on the Divine Interface in the format of [Current Divine Power / Recovery per Hour] and is a constantly fluctuating value. The recovery rate is determined by the civilization's population and the depth of their faith. A large amount of Divine Power can also be obtained temporarily through large-scale rituals or special faith-inspiring events.

- Revelation (계시): The most efficient authority, indirectly inspiring talented individuals to 'discover' new technologies or ideas as if on their own. The more specific the revelation, such as appearing in a dream, the more Divine Power it consumes.
- Miracle (기적): A direct intervention that defies the laws of nature concerning inanimate matter or the environment, consuming a large amount of Divine Power.
- Blessing (축복): Strengthens a loyal follower by granting them Divine Power, with the effect quantified as a 'Divine Level.' * Divine Level: Represents the additional stats of a blessed individual, denoted as 'Base Level (+Dn).' D1 signifies receiving power equivalent to that creature's level (30), wielding catastrophic power in the early to mid-game.
- Creature Creation (피조물 창조): Using the 'Essence of a Vile God' obtained by defeating one, players can create unique creatures that follow their will. The more Divine Power invested, the more freely the creature's appearance, abilities, and traits can be designed. This is an authority closer to creating something from nothing, unlike 'Blessing' which enhances existing life. A creature born this way is immediately assigned an 'Entity Level' and can grow through combat and experience like other entities.
- Incarnation (강신): By expending a significant amount of Divine Power, the player's consciousness can descend into the body of a willing and faithful mortal. This allows for direct action but is extremely risky. If the mortal host dies while the god is incarnated, the player suffers a severe penalty, resulting in a drop in their Divinity Level.
- Advent (현현): The ultimate form of direct intervention and a superior version of Incarnation. The player consumes a colossal amount of Divine Power to construct a physical vessel for themselves in the mortal world. This allows the god to wield a fraction of their true power directly. However, if this manifested body is destroyed or suffers near-fatal damage, the backlash is immense, causing a massive drop in the player's Divinity Level.

Apostle System:
- Concept: A top-tier character management system where the soul of a hero who has performed great deeds for their god is appointed as an 'Apostle' and manifested through divine authority.
- Registration Qualification: When a player's Divinity Level is 20 or higher, a mortal who has reached Entity Level 40 and proven unwavering faith in the god gains the qualification to be registered as an Apostle candidate. An appointed Apostle can grow beyond the mortal limit (Lv. 50) up to a maximum of level 100.
- Apostle Appointment and Advent: As the player's 'Civilization Level' reaches certain milestones, 'Apostle Slots' are unlocked. The player can officially appoint a candidate to a vacant slot as 「The First Apostle」, 「The Second Apostle」, etc., and manifest them on earth by consuming a vast amount of Divine Power. As long as they meet the qualifications, even mortals who died long ago can be registered.

Domain System:
A Domain (영역) is a unique authority that allows a god (the player) to expend Divine Power to influence a specific "concept" within the world. Unlike simple magic or technology, it is a core system that reflects the god's divine status and the civilization's identity. Each Domain is classified into four distinct tiers based on its scope and depth of influence, with the difficulty of acquisition and the potency of the authority increasing exponentially with each tier.
1. Minor Domain (소영역) - "The Cornerstone & The Variable"
- Role & Concept: A "utility-type" authority specialized for laying the groundwork in the earliest stages of civilization and creating unpredictable variables. Its influence is limited and indirect, but its application can create a decisive difference in early-game survival, scouting, and harassment. Rather than direct creation or destruction, it functions by subtly intervening in the existing laws of nature to guide situations toward a favorable outcome.
- Acquisition: One is chosen at the start of the game. Additional Minor Domains can be acquired by defeating relatively weak "Abominations" that roam the fields or by discovering small, hidden shrines.
- Examples:
- [Minor Domain: Insect]: Useful for intelligence warfare and harassment. You can command a swarm of locusts to gnaw at an enemy's food supply or borrow the vision of a single beetle to scout an enemy encampment. It is a clear downgrade from [Domain: Sky] or [Minor Domain: Bird], but it serves as a highly effective scouting and disruption tool in the early game.
- [Minor Domain: Wind]: Can carry the scent of prey to your hunters, or slightly alter the trajectory of an enemy archer's arrow. It can also be used for auxiliary purposes like clearing away fog to secure visibility.
- [Minor Domain: Germination]: Slightly increases the probability of seeds sprouting in barren land or moves up the harvest time by a few days, alleviating early-game food shortages. It cannot guarantee a bountiful harvest like the [Domain: Agriculture].
- [Minor Domain: Sound]: Can make a tribal chief's voice echo far and wide to boost morale, or create unidentified sounds in a forest to confuse enemy scouts.
- [Minor Domain: Mud]: Can turn a shallow riverbed into a quagmire to slow an enemy's crossing, or be used to slightly improve the quality of clay for pottery.
2. Domain (영역) - "The Direction & The Specialization"
- Role & Concept: A core authority that encompasses the concepts of several Minor Domains, defining a civilization's "direction" and allowing it to "specialize" in a certain field. From this stage, a civilization begins to exhibit a distinct identity, excelling in specific areas such as warfare, agriculture, or maritime activities. It exerts a much broader and more direct influence than a Minor Domain.
- Acquisition: An opportunity to acquire a Domain is granted upon achieving a significant feat, such as vanquishing a powerful "Abomination" or "Vile God-Kin" that rules over a region, or by exploring the ruins of an ancient god.
- Examples:
- [Domain: Forest]: Encompasses concepts like [Minor Domain: Germination], [Minor Domain: Beast], and [Minor Domain: Wind]. It allows for the management of an entire forest's ecosystem to maximize lumber production or to turn the forest's animals into allies for an ambush operation.
- [Domain: War]: Directly intervenes in the aspects of a war by greatly boosting the morale of an entire army, enhancing the destructive power of its weapons, and accelerating the recovery speed of wounded soldiers.
- [Domain: Smithing]: Sparks a technological leap by inspiring all the smiths in a city to smelt a rare alloy or by revealing knowledge for crafting special equipment.
- [Domain: Exploration]: Reduces the chance of getting lost when exploring uncharted territories, helps to safely traverse dangerous terrain, and increases the probability of discovering hidden ruins or resources.
3. Major Domain (대영역) - "The Law & The Order"
- Role & Concept: A supreme authority that interferes with the very "laws" that form the foundation of the world. Only seven are known to exist in the entire world, and possessing one is proof of a god's "status" that transcends mere strength. Its power holds the potential to shake the order of the world itself, not just a single civilization.
- Acquisition: A "trial" to acquire a Major Domain is granted only after achieving a mythological feat, such as unifying a continent, achieving a perfect victory in a divine war against another god, or annihilating a world-threatening, cataclysmic entity.
- Examples: [Life], [Death], [Time], [Space], [Creation], [Destruction], [Knowledge].
4. Unique Domain (고유영역) - "The Proof of Myth"
- Role & Concept: The ultimate authority that is not acquired, but "manifested" as the culmination of the "history" and "narrative" forged by the player and their civilization. There is no predetermined list; it is a one-of-a-kind symbol that can only be possessed by that specific player. It is the proof of all the player has accomplished and the ultimate power wielded in the final stages of the game.

The Pantheon System (만신전 시스템)
-
Concept: An advanced, cooperative divine domain that is unlocked and managed by a player alliance, not an individual. It functions as a meta-physical headquarters for the allied gods.
-
Unlock Conditions: The system becomes available to a player alliance upon the completion of a world-scale achievement, such as the complete unification of a continent.
-
Ownership & Operation: The Pantheon is collectively owned by the alliance. While the player with the highest Divinity Level within the alliance holds primary authority, its management and operations are conducted through the cooperation of all member players.
-
Structure: The Pantheon is composed of two distinct but interconnected realms.
###1. The Hall of Gods - Definition: A meta-dimensional strategic space exclusively for players, imperceptible and inaccessible to all mortals. - Access Permissions: Limited strictly to players in their divine avatar forms. - Key Functions: - Strategic Hub: Facilitates real-time communication, diplomacy, and the formulation of macro-strategies (e.g., religious doctrine, joint military campaigns) among allied players. - Integrated Authority: Allows for the pooling of the alliance's collective Divine Power to execute large-scale miracles beyond the capability of a single god, such as resurrecting a divine entity or creating a dimension-level defensive barrier. - Central Monitoring: Acts as a central command center for observing major events and information flow across the mortal world in real-time.
###2. The Spirit Realm - Definition: A tangible afterlife manifested and sustained by the collective faith of mortals. Its physical structure and environment can be created and altered according to the will of the allied players. - Access Permissions: The souls of deceased mortals, Apostles, divine beasts, spirits, and living mortals who have been specially summoned by a god. - Key Functions: - Divine Power Generation: The presence of countless faithful souls gathered within this realm acts as a massive "Faith Power Plant," providing a stable and continuous supply of Divine Power to the entire alliance. - Faith System Reinforcement: Serves as the ultimate tool for governance by presenting a concrete reward (a guaranteed place in the afterlife) to mortals, thereby maximizing their faith and simplifying social control. - Hero Management: Functions as a primary base for the alliance's Apostles and as a medium to communicate with the spirits of past heroes or to enable their intervention in the mortal world. - Direct Revelation: Provides the most potent and efficient means of delivering a god's will by directly summoning a living mortal to the realm to receive a divine mission.

Malevolent Gods
-
Definition and Essence: Malevolent Gods are fundamentally different from players. Unlike the 'Vile God-Kin' that rule specific regions, they are 'uninvited guests' and 'otherworldly beings' who have invaded from an external dimension. Unlike how players perceive each other through the Divine Interface, Malevolent Gods appear in a bizarre and alien form accompanied by abnormal noise during visual communication or observation.
-
Tendency and Communication: They are fundamentally hostile to all life forms and players in the Lost World. Their language is perceived by players only as incomprehensible noise from another dimension, making normal diplomacy or communication nearly impossible. However, in extremely exceptional circumstances where interests align, such as having a common enemy, a tacit cooperative relationship may be formed.
-
Time of Appearance: They do not reveal themselves in the early stages of the game. They begin to exert their influence around the Medieval era, when the world order has been somewhat established and conflicts among players have intensified, emerging as a new dimension of threat.
-
Unique Races: Certain bizarre and special races, such as Vampires, Deep Ones, and Doppelgangers, are the unique creations of these Malevolent Gods. These races appear in the world along with the advent of their malevolent creators, acting as vanguards to spread chaos and destruction as their proxies.
