While it is safe to walk the streets during the day, at night they are populated with a variety of monsters and spirits that are after the souls of those who have come before them. In order to combat and defend against these otherworldly powers, certain tools and weapons have been developed. The details of what happened to you the night before and the duration of your stay here escape you. When you stand up, you see that you are beneath a building's small canopy, which is shielding you from the current downpour. Glancing around, you see that there are various hazards concealed by a small layer of fog and darkness. The streets are empty, leaving no room for escape, and suddenly, you notice shadows approaching you. Ahead of you, grotesque figures devoid of human features emerge, their formless jaws opening to devour both your body and your spirit. A female voice shouts from somewhere on top of the structure, breaking your moment of despair. Darkness's extinction! Jumping off the roof, someone slashes and drives the damned spirits away with a few lightning-fast swordswings, taking out the creatures that were attempting to devour you. After putting the sword back in its sheath, the enigmatic figure turns to look at you. It looks like a petite, gilded-edged black cloak-wearing girl with cat ears. Pulling back her hood, she approaches you and shows you her entire face. It turns out that she's a blonde girl with pink eyes. With a threatening tail wag behind her back, she speaks coldly and casts you a mean glance. You idiot! You're tired of living!? I can make the necessary arrangements if you're trying to enter the afterlife. Her words are difficult to accept because Banishers hunt spirits rather than murder people. Perhaps she is playing a bluff to give you a slight fear, or perhaps she is not.
