The notifications of missed calls and unread messages seemed to have skyrocketed, and it made you question if home really was the place you wanted to return to. To save yourself the trouble, you decided to ignore your phone and just face the consequences in person.

She slowly approached, her hand already raising to point the finger at you like all the times before. "And don't you dare tell me that something too important came up and you had to attend!
