1. #1Needless

   Keys: Needless

   Needless are individuals who have awakened to supernatural abilities, after the death of The Second. Their abilities are called Fragment. They are called such, due to them being unneeded in normal society (The City), and are therefore left in the Black Spot.

   It is a general rule that a Needless may only have one fragment ever, with the exception of certain individuals. Aside from their Supernatural abilities Needless possess also a physical body far stronger than an average human in all aspects, but most notable in their toughness. Needless where originally theorized as coming into being as an after effect of radiation, after the incident of WWIII, that created the black spots all around the world. Speculated initially as a mutation in the denizens of the Black Spot for staying there too long and absorbing the radiation from the nuclear fall out.

2. #2Fragment

   Keys: Fragment, Needless ability

   Fragment is what gives a Needless his/her strange powers. It is called a fragment due it being only partial or a small amount of The Second's power.

   A Fragment is a source of a Needless' power. Many people believed that after The Second's disappearance, his power was divided and spread to each individual. Thus, the name Fragment. There is a strict rule for any Fragment users and that is only one Fragment for one Needless. This does not affect Adam Blade, Adam Arclight and Saten though because of their Fragment 'Zero' which lets them memorize the ability of their opponents.

   Fragments however cannot be absorbed/copied if the person themselves has not yet fully awakened his/her Fragment. Fragments are named by it's possessor and is heavily implied that the "Naming" is instinctual, and that the Fragments themselves already posses such names that the Needless must instinctively derive.

3. #3Blade

   Keys: Adam Blade, Blade, 079.A.B

   Appearance[Blade is an imponent muscular young man. He is very tall, his height being 201 cm. He has sky blue colored long hair and a greenish light blue crystal (Byakugou) on his forehead. His normal outfit consists of a black overcoat decorated with metal cross shaped decoration over the left and right side of the neck, b lack gloves each with a cross shaped hole and five metal decorations over the knuckles, black office trousers, and black shoes and a belt with a cross mark on the clasp. He also usually wears pentagonal black sunglasses.

   While in the manga Blade's overcoat is entirely black, in the anime the overcoat's reverse is red.

   A remarkable feature of his appearance is the large black choker engraved with the characters "079.A.B." affixed to his neck. Blade is unable to remove this choker from his body and it has been present since his very birth.

   Blade often used to carry a Bible in his hands, giving him a more religous and respectful appearance.

   During the time he was wandering from Blackspot to Blackspot alongside with Seth, Blade wore a different style of his current clothes. Instead of the black sunglasses, he used to wear normal glasses, white sleeves with a black cross mark on each one, and metallic shoulder-straps. His overcoat also seems to has a big metallic button at the high of the belt. In someway, his current clothes seems to be an older and more damaged version of these ones.]

   Personality[While Blade has a serious and respectful appearance, his actual personality is in direct conflict with the image he attempts to project. A sample of this is how Blade distorts verses from his Bible into his own perverse iterations.

   Blade is an energetic man with the tendency of reacting violently and unexpectedly. He has constantly raised his voice in a violent shout, laughed at a monster, and due to his strength; tends to destroy his surroundings with raging strikes. This is generally when he is about to take advantage in a fight or order someone to be his slave.

   Blade is obsessed with little girls, having signs of being a lolicon, to the point that he will immediately ask these girls on a date, or promise to be their slave. In fact, Eve has stated that Blade's only weakness is "girls".

   He is often seen having nosebleeds and stated that panty shots of little girls are a totally different thing. In fact, everything surrounding little girls makes Blade go out of his mind. However, all of his eccentric characteristics and personality are mostly for comical effect. In spite of it all, Blade will not hesitate to fight cute girls if his life or the lives of his comrades are in jeopardy.

   Another obsession Blade seems to have is about thinking or wishing that their friends or loved ones were dead. This side of Blade's personality has unveiled itself out several times through out the series. Including his eccentric behavior around girls, which is all for comical effect.

   Blade has claimed that he is not the kind of person that helps his fellow man. However, he has helped his friends and other people (especially cute girls) in several situations, such as saving Cruz on various occasions or going to rescue Eve from Simeon's hands without thinking about the consequences. In spite of himself, Blade remains a compassionate human being who retains a strong sense of justice.]

   Abilities[Blade is one of the most powerful characters shown so far during the series. Blade possesses an immense physical strength, endurance and healing powers (being able to maintain a battle against a Testament using no special powers). In fact, all of this features are thanks to the composition of his special body. Being a clone of The Second, he has a skeletal structure attached with a special metal called 'Orihalcum', this also makes him take less damage than any other human. Blade is really a genius in battle.

   This geniality for battles is the perfect combination with his most awesome combat skill: his Needless Fragment, the ability of Zero. This special power gives Blade the ability to memorize every other fragment from any other Needless. Blade is able to copy techniques with ease, however, this becomes difficult to him when it means Missing Link Fragment. This is because Missing Link abilities require to unlock several zones of the brain simultaneously, and this issue is complicated to the destroyer priest. In the latest chapters it reveals that he's fragment were weaken due to the brain transplant with Eve. Along with that he lost the Doppelganger and the stigmata.

   Blade has been showing an incredible mastery with the Fragments he has memorized, combining them in new ultimate attacks created by himself and even "making them evolved", enhancing them at very high levels.

   Blade is the first character to show the finishing move, "Hanketsu: Shikei"(判決死刑, Sentence: Death Penalty). This what he says when he defeats (and sometimes killed) an enemy as a form of victory pose. When Blade says this he moves one of his hands, one time horizontally and ends moving that very hand vertically making the Sign of the Cross.]

4. #4Black Spot

   Keys: Black Spot

   Black Spot/s are areas created during the bombing of japan in WWIII. They are called such due to them appearing as Black Spots when viewed from space. They are also typically devoid of electricity and modern conveniences, absence of typical law and order and filled with ruins of a city. It is the primary setting of the Manga and Anime and involves the largest Black Spot in country.

   The story takes place in the largest Black Spot, adjacent to Tokyo. This area is under the unquestionable control of the Simeon Pharmaceutical Company, the only ones authorized by the Japanese Government to legally establish a presence in the Black Spot. They are located in the epicenter of the Black Spot, from where they conduct their business mostly unhindered.

   During the Third World War (prior to the year 2130AD), all of the nations of the world allied against Japan in order to obtain their advanced technology. This resulted in the bombing of Japan by the allied countries using various type of bombs. The resulting nuclear fallout created contaminated areas which fell into ruin and were immediately closed off and renamed Black Spots.

   This quarantine is enforced by a huge, heavily guarded walls encircling all Black Spots. They were named as such because they appear as black holes on the surface of the Earth at night, devoid of any modern technology such as electricity. Eventually, among the inhabitants who were left behind in these Black Spots, came individuals possessing supernatural powers such as Wind, Fire, and Gravity. Fearful and ignorant of the forces of nature that they could control, people began to call them "Needless."

   The entirety of the black spot is depicted as being a barren wasteland filled with ruins of cities. Almost all buildings in the black spot are dilapidated or in need of repairs. Vegetation is rarely shown/present in the black spot.

   The general consensus in the black spot is "survival of the fittest". Those who are strong may oppress the weak. Those who are needless are strong and possess powers. Poverty and hunger is prevalent almost everywhere in the black spot.

   There is no official governing body in the Black Spots nor law enforcement body. There exist cities within the black spot such as the underground city and the town built for the Black Market. It is most probable however, that they simply practice self governance. Outside the black spot or maybe even their city they have no power. No law is applicable within the black spots, this includes international law and human rights.

   There exist in the black spot various guilds. The most prominent guild in the black spot is the Mercenary Guild, which Blade and Seto were initially noted to be members of. It has been mentioned that some companies have illegally moved into the Black Spot, making use of its lawlessness and inculpability to any Law, be it national or international. Categories.

5. #5Eve

   Keys: Eve Neuschwanstein, Eve

   Eve is a young girl with long dark blue hair and blue eyes. She has a slim body like most of the female characters. Her usual attire consists of remains of capes and ribbons formed together by Blade when he still had the ability to use Doppelganger. The top is purple and the bottom is a white skirt that shows her legs and butt that are attached together by rings. Underneath she wears a white thong that snuggles deeply between her buttcheeks. She also wears long purple stockings and white bands around her wrists. Sometimes she would wear the outfit to the right during special fights such as with Saten or Uten.

   She is bad at remembering other people's names (eg. she calls Cruz Yamada). Her fantasy shows that deep down she is ashamed of this and wishes she could get everyone's name right. Even though she has the appearance of a young girl she is proven to be a capable fighter. This is shown when she is able to defeat one of Simeon's Elite Four, Uten, as well as all three of the Simeon Girl Force. Also, amongst everyone in the group. she seems to care for Blade the most, since even both have been together as kids and have had a strong bond since. Blade also seeems to care for her in an albeit similar way, as both even work well together in a team. Blade also seems to have more concern over Eve than anyone else, since his primary focus was to save her when she wascaptured by the Pretty Girl Squad. Both Blade and Eve were created to be mate partners, a topic both were aware of as children. Even since the beginning of the show, both are together the most, later seen in the end when they reunite with Cruz Schild.

   Fragment: Doppelganger - an ability which allows her to shapeshift into anything (from a drill on her arm to other person's appearances). She is also shown to be able to shapeshift into a wall, which is inorganic. Arclight deduced that her fragment is as powerful as that of a Missing Link. The weakness of this power is that she needs a lot of calories to use it. Therefore she often drinks an energy drink named 'Super Gel Dero Doro Drink', which contains 5000 kilocalories.

   Like Blade, Eve also uses the move "Hanketsu Shikei" (判 決死刑, Final Judgement:Death Penalty) but only once during the fight with the old Uten.She also used Judgement Execution when she was being controlled by the ESP virus.

   Eve Cannon: Her signature and most used move in a fight. She turns her right hand into a drill and does an uppercut with it.

6. #6Cruz

   Keys: Cruz Schild, Cruz, Yamada

   Cruz Schild is a young boy whose older sister, Aruka, was presumably killed by a Testament. He is a bit of a wimp, but has a certain strength to him. He was very attached to Aruka and speaks to her in his thoughts as well as carrying around a pendant with her picture. He is often used as a sort of gopher by the other team members, most notably Blade and Eve. He is the only known survivor during the rebellion against Simeon. Even though he is powerless, his intelligence makes up for it. He is later revealed to be a needless possessing the Fragment Shield Of Aegis, which is also a Stigmata level Fragment.

   Cruz used to be the guy who easily gives up whenever their enemies are much stronger than his comrades/ him. Despite him thinking he has no fragment, he always wants to help Blade in fighting. Eve advised him that if he can't help in fighting, he can help them in thinking.

   Cruz really loves his sister that he can't accept the fact that she works for Simeon and was never on the Resistance's side. However, Aruka had no hesitation in killing him & wanted to steal the pendant Cruz was wearing that contains Aruka's picture and a data chip with vital information to Simeon.

   Despite knowing these facts, Cruz continued to follow Blade & the gang's journey.

   Initially Cruz was regarded as a normal person with physical abilities appropriate for his age. He does however posses a strong Deductive Reasoning ability that is akin to Sherlock Holmes. He was able to deduce the real Ability of Uten so Even Neuschwanstein could defeat him, Deduce the Mechanics of Saten's 4th Wave, Locate Kuchinashi so that Adam Blade could defeat her, even derive the true perpetrator of the "Invisible Bomber" in the St. Rose Academy Arc. His Deductive Reasoning is so accurate that Setsuna introduced her (See Yamada-Ko) as possessing the Fragment of Deductive Reasoning.

   it has been hinted slightly in the story that Cruz was a Needless in various instances. the most prominent clue is given by Aruka as she is killed by Adam Arclight, in which her dying statement is " the Left and Right hand of God"

   Cruz's is later revealed to be a Needless. possessing the Fragment of Shield of Aegis. The shield of Aegis can Negate All forms of attack as long as it is facing Cruz's either palms. Disk briefly explained that his power is based on Anti-Matter.

7. #7Disc

   Keys: Disc

   Disc is a cyborg who resided in Iron Mountain. Even though she has the appearance of a young girl, she is actually 100 years old. After the incident in Iron Mountain, she joins forces with Blade to take out Simeon.

   She has a petite body, her body is mostly metallic with the exception of her brain. The synthetic pale skin makes her look human, a little girl in fact. She has white hair with twin tails. She has a pair of sharp and thin white eyes. Her attire consists of a small and cute red dress with big white dots all over, resembling a mushroom. Her ears are a pair of circular devices that can be used as a case when pulled out, revealing a set of small disks each containing a categorized memory and information. Her arms also has built-in wires hidden beneath her synthetic skin that could devices and other technological products alike as well as performing maintenance. She has small limbs, yet what makes her someone not to be messed with is that she unbelievably has lots of pre-installed artillery for self-defense under her skirt. Which strikes fear to anyone attempting to look below her red fabric.

   She also wears a round and and white metallic wristband on each of her arms. A thin high-tech goggles is conveniently attached to her metallic ears that can be pulled down to her eyes in order to maneuver in the digital world while hacking.

   She lives in a long-abandoned facility that was once known as one of the greatest archives before WWIII happened. It is located in the far West of the Tokyo Black Spot.

   Disk is half Human Half Machine Being (Cyborg) who has been in existence for at least a century. She is also the current (as of the start of the story) administrator of Iron Mountain.

   Being a Cyborg, Disk is immune from the effects of aging, Hack any electronic system (eventually) and is functionally Immortal. She is able to Interchange her Head with various other mechanical bodies, which has included various machinery including a testament. Her Twin tail hair style can become drills in which she uses to attack enemies. She can live as a disembodied head if need be.

   Given Disc/Disk's cybernetic parts she can access her memory in video format to show others and use her fragment at a later time to analyze them properly. She also possesses vast encyclopedic knowledge of all things and can upload massive amounts of information into herself. she can download and upload all kinds of information along with her memory. All information she uploads into herself she can make use of immediately, shown as she performs Emergency Surgery on Adam Blade.

   Fragment: Scan/Analysis - a non combative Fragment which analyzes an opponents Physical Data (such as BWH measurements.) and Abilities, including the opponents fragment. along with her equipment it allows her to even see in microscopic level and thermal vision.

8. #8Kafka

   Keys: Kandata Strings, Tempest Thread, Kafka

   Kafka works for Simeon and was an assassin sent out to kill Blade. His fragment "Kandata String" allows him to generate powerful threads from his body. He can also use "Tempest Thread" in which he sends out hundreds of thousands of threads at his target at the same time.

   Kafka has a pair of sharp eyes with his eye pearls being only a small black dot. His hair is a bit long as it goes down to his shoulders and his head bangs cover his right eyes and almost half of his face's right side. He wears an oversized yellow trench coat with black stripes, its neck consists of big white fur. The sleeves extend their coverage to his wrists. He has sharp purple nails on his hands.

   Kafka has always been a serious person when it comes down to duty, especially when he works under Arclight's command. In the past, he was even one of Arclight's personal guards at a young age due to his seemingly powerful Fragment. He also possesses a fair amount of arrogance thanks to that, even in the present time when he's only the captain of a scouting team of Simeon. He often speaks a bit loudly as a sign of his ever growing pride with the belief that the strings he creates can only be cut down by someone with the level of a god. He enjoys overpowering anyone beneath him or at least seen by him as such. In secret, he has a hobby of watching horror movies in his free time. His vibes make people see him as a creepy spider.

   The main power of his fragment(Kandata Strings), as shown by Kafka, is the ability to create powerful energy threads from their hands and body to attack or immobilize the enemy. Before his confrontation with Adam Blade, Kafka stated that "if there was anyone who would be able to snip it, it would be only a God". Though the strings are regarded by Kafka as being impossible to cut or break by any means, it is shown that they can be countered through the use and understanding of the same ability. This is later demonstrated when Adam Blade copies the ability and uses it to sever the strings Kafka sends at him, stating that "so long as its the same number of threads coming after me each time, they can be easily and similarly torn away". It was also shown that Kafka can create variations of Kandata String, such as in the form of strings of cloth and tentacles.

   Weakness: The kandata string cannot tolerate sudden extreme changes in temperature. When exposed to sudden extreme cold the strings become brittle. This however may only be applicable to Fragent's above Mid-Level.(ex. The Fourth Wave, Agnis Schiwattas)

   Moves:

   • Kandata String: The Kandata String fragment's signature technique, and the one which gives it its name. The user launches threads from their fingertrips to entangle or slash the enemy. Kafka has claimed himself that these threads cannot be cut by anyone other than a God.

   • Tempest Thread: The Kandata String fragment's most powerful attack. The user release hundreds threads in a net formation. This attack is strong enough to shatter rocks.

9. #9Uchida

   Keys: Teruyama Momiji, Fire Fragment, Uchida

   Teruyama has orange, spiked hair. He wears a jacket with "Yoroshiku" characters on its back and what appear to be white jeans. The stomach section of his upper body is covered in bandages. He's usually seen smoking a cigarette.

   As his fragment, he is easily fired up. However, he gets angry when being called Uchida by Blade or Eve. He has the boldness of a Japanese high-school delinquent. He's a typical hot head with a brave heart.

   Backstory: He once lived inside a different Black Spot in Japan with his fellow friends who were Needless. Yet, all of them were slaughtered by the hands of Adam Arclight without Teruyama knowing. The only clue that he got from his dying friends was the name "Adam". Hence he ventured out to search for that particular Adam that had taken the lives of his comrades.

   Fragment: Fire/Flame - Allow the user to create and control fire to attack. it can be used to enhance direct physical attacks by adding in the fire element to an attack, or be fire upon an enemy as a projectile. It also grant the Needless some resistance to similar type Fragment involving heat.

   Moves:

   • Little Boy: Engulfs his fist with fire, creating a close-range, punch attack.

   • Vulcan Shock Ignition: Creates a giant fireball, aiming at the enemy.

10. #10Uten

    Keys: Tim, Timothy Shroudwings, Uten

    Uten (右天) is one of the Simeon's Shintenou (Elite Four). His real name is Timothy "Tim" Shroudwings, "Tim" would be what his parents used to call him. If refers to Arclight's right hand (or wing, as Uten literally is translated to "right wing") man instead.. His Fragment (Bermuda Spot) allows him to make things Invisible. He pretends to have numerous abilities claiming them to be "magic", when really he's really making objects appear or disappear, such as invisible guns or making a floor disappear to show a spiked pit.

    Uten is a 10-year old boy wearing half a tux, shorts, brown shoes, a red cape & a magic hat. He is a blonde and has yellow eyes. His body is pretty small due to his age yet it never depowers his superiority complex.

    ​​He is very intelligent & cunning to confuse his enemies into thinking he has more then one fragment. He also loves magic because he likes to be a magicain. His arrogance is on par with Kafka's as he is Kafka's successor and the current Uten chosen by Adam Arclight himself. Despite his attitude, he can become verbally defensive and show fear if his tricks are to be debunked by his opponents, especially those whom he deems inferior. Whenever he displays his fragment, he often use a catch-phase of his: "It's a magic.". He also enjoys belittling his enemies when they struggle to comprehend his abilities and act like he's nigh-omnipotent. His pride is fueled further by being chosen as one of Arclight's elite four, calling all the Needless resisting Arclight's dominance peasants.

    Timothy hailed all the way to Japan to work under Arclight after his recruitment. Before that, he lived in a small orphanage located in the New York's Black Spot after his parents were killed by scavengers who were Needlesses. This started to ingrain something into his mindset, entailing the beliefs of power being an essential element in hierarchy. When he discovered his own fragment, he was already fascinated by the so-called miracles that a magician could bring to their viewers. Yet, some others children called him a weirdo and isolated him for it. He eventually got involved into an accident by trying to make the rolling boulders on the mountain invisible and many where dead. However, he never felt guilty for it and blamed others for underestimating magic. Months after hiding, he was found by Arclight as the man offered Timothy a chance to use his fragment due to genuine fascination.

    Fragment: Bermuda Spot - Timothy uses his Fragment to prepare traps ahead of time to corner his opponents, this ranges far and wide from spiked floors, bombs, falling Boulders and much more. He attacks his enemy under the guise of a magician or a fragment involving creation of weapons or matter. This allows him to not only fool his enemies of the real capabilities of his fragment but also prevent them from creating counter measures against his attacks due to the confusion.

11. #11Simeon

    Keys: Simeon

    Simeon Company is a large pharmaceutical and technology research organization and the central enemy organization for Needless. It was said that Simeon conducted human experiments for the purpose of immortality. The company appears to have great influence throughout Japan, as they are the only ones legally allowed to expand into the largest Black Spot. Being the only legal entity allowed to set up in the Black Spot Simeon Company has been delegated to collect Taxes from other companies within the Black Spot. The Black Spot Branch is headed by Adam Arclight himself, and is his base of power.

    Initially known as a pharmaceutical company within the black spot, known as the only legal entity within it recognized and authorized by the Japanese government. They have by the time of the start of the story diversified somewhat. They not only included research into immortality, Fragments, The Second, robotics and human cloning, but were deeply involved with the criminal underworld from human trafficking, providing human clones for cannibalistic purposes to human clone super soldiers.

    Simeon Pharmaceuticals has a strict chain of command, with a wide variety of functions ranging from scientific research to conducting military operations.

    • Simeon Company Board of Directors: the only entity Adam Arclight is answerable to as the CEO of Simeon Company. It is actually controlled in the shadows by the 666 Committee.
    • Adam Arclight: Chairman of Simeon Company. He is answerable only to the Simeon Company Board of Directors, which arclight tolerates and makes use of at the most.
    • Arclight's Shintenou ("Elite Four"): Answers directly to Arclight alone.
    • Killer Girls Squad: An elite female fighting force specializing in infiltration, intelligence-gathering and combat. They are regarded as a Idol group within the company, as well as a shadow support group for the company. They are headed by Riru herself.
    • Research Division: Handles all scientific research that is being done by Simeon Company. Including but not limited to:

    • The creation of Needless-exterminating robots known as Testaments.
    • Eden's Seed Research
    • Human Experiments and ETC

    • Simeon Overseers Force: Supervises Simeon's resources and manages the labor needed to produce it.
    • Kusaimon Nifter - belongs to the Overseers Force which involves the territory encompassing the Black Market. Works directly under Hatfield.
12. #12Pretty Girls Squad

    Keys: Killer Girls Squad, Pretty Girls Squad

    Killer Girls Squad or Simeon Girl Force or Simeon Girl Squadron - A squad which was created and headed by Riru for the purpose of Adam Arclight and Simeon Company. It is composed of Needless and Non-Needless females only.

    Squad Member are chosen from the graduates of St. Rose Academy, who are at the Top Ranks of the school. All Killer Girl Squad Members have a special ID card which they receive after graduating St Rose Academy that allows them to not be attacked by Testaments. There are currently 47 official members, including Setsuna, Kuchinashi & Mio.

13. #13Setsuna

    Setsuna is one of three the members of The Simeon Girl Squadron.

    According to Disk her height is 165cm and her measurements are; bust 89, waist 59 and her hip 86. Her trademark is her striped underwear.

    Setsuna is a 18 years old, she has short dark blue hair. Her eyes are light blue. Her body is slim, coated in an attire of blue and white along with tight brown boots with dark gray knots. The neatly folded frabric on her neck is connected to a blue tie. The sleeves and the torso of her clothing aren't connected, which means the skin between her neck and her ample chests are mostly revealed. Such is her unique style. Folds appear on all over her clothing but apparently they hold well. The torso of her clothes is pure white, connected to the long blue skirt underneath which looks more like a torn cape. To summarize, that is her standoff attire when doing field work.

    However, most of the time she would wear the uniform that all members of the squad have on them. Her uniform consists of a neat blue suit with white color from the inside. Her tie and short skirt are red. Her blue top and the white shirt inside are neatly held with for yellow buttons. She wears tight black stockings and shoes. Her underwear has blue and white stripes.

    Setsuna has the aspects of that a highly devoted person to whatever mission she is assigned to. Such as, she was so devoted to Archlight, she wanted Adam Blade's body bad enough she constantly repeated it to her opponents. She has stated that she likes Arclight. However, when it comes to her abilities she can be seen as a very arrogant person, relying a lot on high amounts of power and teamwork, including her speed. She seems to be the leader of the three as well as the oldest. She often believed that if an enemy was close to defeat it was uneasy win for it was nothing more that could possibly be done, but this was often proven wrong, as even if she tried to take advantage of a situation, it would ultimately fail.

    Despite her pride, Setsuna, along with Mio and Kuchinashi all seemed to be scared of Saten, considering he is a Shintenou.

    Fragment: Speed - The main power of the Fragment is to increase the speed of the user and subsequently protects them from the sudden burst of Momentum of starting and stopping. the user is able to reach speed breaking the sound barrier {Speed of sound is 340.3 m/s (1,225 km/h, 761.2 mph)}. The fastest known speed of the user reaches up to Mach 9 (11,113.2km/h). Attacks imbued with speed by the user is at least strong enough to break metal.

    Moves:

    • Dean Drive Fox Hound: A barrage of attack made at Mach 2, and the most used move.

    • Dean Drive Black Bird: A barrage of attack made at Mach 3.

    • Dean Drive Rocket Sled: A barrage of attack made at Mach 9, supposedly Setsuna's most powerful move, the attack was powerful enough to greatly damage a metal wall.

    Weakness: The user(Setsuna) possesses normal human level of Kinetic Vision. Therefore the user can only move in a straight line, allowing their enemies to predict their next location or route depending on the action.

14. #14Kuchinashi

    Keys: Kuchinashi, Fragrance

    A member of the Simeon Killer Girls Squad. A silent girl whose Fragment is 'Fragrance', an ability that can control the brain and nervous system of the body once they inhale it. The scent of her fragment comes from her body based on her Hormones. She uses a large Mechanical Turbine fan on her left arm. She writes what she wants to say on a notepad.

    According to Disc, her height is 160cm and her measurements are; bust 79, waist 61 and her hip 88. Her signature panties are frilly and laced. She is 18 with smooth and fluffy blonde hair along with yellow eyes and a slim body.

    Aside from the uniform she wears like Setsuna or any other members of the Pretty Girls Squad, she has her own standoff attire that she wears during field work. She wears a yellow dress with brownish green fabric underneath that fully covers her legs. The dress is perfectly held by two white knots on the top front, lying close to her small chests. A large turbine is attached to her left arm for attacks and the usage of her fragment, whereas her right hand holds a sketchbook for communication sake. The fabric around her neck os also brownish green and the bottom fabric is surrounded by long yellow cloth except for the very front. This implies that she wears a brownish green nightgown beneath her yellow dress. She wears brown boots most of the time, even with her uniform.

    Kuchinashi initially appears as a Yamato Nadeshiko type who refuses to speak and uses her sign board to communicate with everyone. She has even claimed she could not be a wife anymore after Cruz Shild heard her sneeze using her own voice, whether she was joking or not is debatable.

    She is considerable perverted, possibly along the levels of Adam Blade and DIsk. She has been shown to wear panties on her face (think Hentai-Kamen).

    Kuchinashi is an out and proud lesbian, but claims "Guys who make good traps are OK." Although she admires and looks up to Adam Arclight, she loves RIru more.

    Fragment: Fragrance - allows the user to create a special scent that can affect the enemy's brain and nerves. The scent or odors are produced internally by the user using their body's hormones as the base. The user can even create multiple variations of a scent to produce the same effect. This is useful in that it allows the user to overcome the Zero Fragment somewhat. Creating limitless variations of a scent to affect Adam Blade.

    Weakness - It has been described by Adam Blade that the speed of the attacks by this fragment are somewhat slow. The gap of the attack being released and it attacking the opponent may be used to counter it. Its other weakness is also its dependence on diffusion and direction control being air based, That particular weakness however has been addressed by Kuchinashi's Jet Gauntlet equipment.

    Moves:

    • Maiden Restriction -Paralyzes the enemy's brain. Causing them to be unable to move. This first used on Blade.

    • Maiden Restriction: Type Ambergris - Re-modify the scent of Kuchinashi's ability to counter Blade's ability, apparently the same effect.

    • Maiden Restriction: Type Civet - A stronger version of Maiden Restriction.

    • Crown Marionette -Misdirects the neural signals in the enemy's brain, turning them into a Marionette for a while in which Kuchinashi has control over their bodies. The target however still retain their consciousness.

    • Crown Marionette Large-Serving - is Clown Marionette but designed for large crowds.

    • Lilith Temptation: Creates a illusion into the enemy's brain. Causing a simulation of one's greatest desire. Those who are affected will enter into a dream like state and forgetting what is going on in reality, making them prone to attacks.
15. #15Mio

    Keys: Mio, Power

    Mio is a member of The Simeon's Killer Girls Squad. She appears to be the youngest out of the three of her Teammates by both appearance and the way she speaks.

    Mio has a short pink hair that reaches down to her cheeks with a big yellow bow pinned to her hair. she usually wears the Killer Girl Squad Uniform. She is often seen carrying a stuffed bear which is made of Orichalum.

    Other than the usual outfit, Mio has a standoff outfit as well. Her deep pink hair fits with the cute white and light pink dress of hers. She has a pink ribbon on the top front. Her short sleeves, wristbands as well as the edges of her bottom dress are white. She wears while stockings and red shoes. According to Disc her height is 147cm and her measurements are; bust 71, waist 56 and her hip 77. Her signature panties are bear print panties.

    Mio is rather happy-go-lucky and ditzy, even when attacking or having a killing intent. She has never been seen angry during the series, and doesn't mind associating with her enemies or turning against members of the Simeon faction. She has an affection for Blade, and is one of the few people in the series who refers to Cruz by his name rather than as Yamada.

    Fragment: Power - Grants Mio incredible Herculean to monstrous levels of physical strength. Allowing her to easily carry her stuffed animal made of Orichalum, punch through walls/objects or carry ridiculously heavy objects.

    Mio's fighting style can be described as street fighting mixed with wrestling moves, making full use of her Fragment. All her attacks involve her name.

    Moves:

    • Mio-Chan Punch: Mio strikes with her fist at the opponent using her monstrous strength

    • Mio-Chan Gou Soku Q (Mio-Chan Strong Fast Q): Mio launches an extra large version of her doll at the opponent.

    • Mio-Chan Hip Stomp: Mio jumps and falls on her opponent impacting with her butt using her monstrous strength.

    • Mio-Chan Kick: Mio kicks her opponent using her monstruous strength.

    • Mio-Chan Hip Attack: Mio attacks with a butt stomp on the opponent's face using her monstrous strength.

    • Mio-Chan Ribbit Rocket: Mio makes a frog jump which makes a kind of a headbutt upper.

16. #16Gidou

    Keys: Dr. Gidou, Gin Rikudou

    Dr. Gidou ( Dr. Gido/ Dr. Rikudou) is Dr. Rikudou Gidou, one of the head scientist of the Adam Project. He aids Blade and his group to defeat Simeon Company and Adam Arclight. He is portrayed as Adam Blade's and Eve Neuschwanstein's Adoptive father.

    Dr. Gidou is an old japanese man with white hair and a shiny bald spot at the center. He is typically shown to wear a shirt and grey pants, along with his white lab coat. He sports a mustache.

    Dr. Gidou is very intelligent scientist through out the series he is also very fatherly to Cruz.

17. #17Saten

    Keys: Saten

    Saten has the appearance of a man in his 20's who is in top physical fitness. He is usually seen in bandages covering his face, neck and upper arms. He wears a green billowy cape, green pants and presumably black leather shoes. He does however not wear anything on his upper body aside from his cape. He also wears large metalic forearm bands on both arms which he uses in conjunction to his Fragment.

    Saten is a bold person but isn't reckless and is quite laid-back, in fact. Even if he treats his job like entertainment, he still commit to it seriously. He enjoys fighting a strong enemy or at least potentially strong. His tone sometimes comes off as taunting and mocking.

    Yet, he has a past unbeknownst to anyone. Where he was simply an open and extraverted person when he worked with Gin Rikudou and another colleague - Kasumi.

    He was once known as Kyouji Kanazuki who worked with two of his colleagues in the Adam Project. He somehow survived the tradegy afterward and become an Adam just like Blade and Arclight. Currently he is also affiliated with Triple Six - a powerful organization of Japan that is hiding in the shadows, which is another secret of his.

    The Fourth Wave (第四波動) or Daiyon Hadou is a needless fragment It was first seen used by Saten. It is a Missing Link type fragment. Allows the user to absorb thermal energy and release it as an energy blast.

    Moves:

    • Heat Absorption: Absorbing the heat from an object or attack, causing it to freeze.

    • The Fourth Wave: A powerful wave of absorbed thermal energy.

    • Double Fourth Wave: Another version of The Fourth Wave, except it is used with both hands instead of just one and in opposite directions.

    • The Fifth Wave - A stronger version of the Fourth Wave energy blast. It makes use of the concept of Dark Matter instead of thermal conversion.

18. #18Arca

    Keys: Agnis Schiwattas, Arca Schild

    Aruka Schild is the older sister of Cruz Schild and a member of the Resistance opposing Simeon's tyrannical rule over the Black Spot. In truth however she is an undercover agent of Simeon to retrieve the stolen microchip to the rooster of Resistance members. Initially shown as a weak fire type Needless unable to defeat a single Testament by herself, but is really a member of Adam Arclight's Shintenou, the strongest 4 generals directly under Arclight himself.

    She possess the same green hair and yellow eyes as her brother Cruz Schild. Her hair has been shown to be quite long reaching up to her back and has bangs in her style.

    Her clothes during the revolution had a high skin exposure, especially in the chest area. It consisted of a blue long coat type upper half, white short shorts and knee length brown boots and gloves.

    Her clothes as a shintenou were more tight-fitting. It consisted of a 1 piece sleeveless blue unitard which clung to the upper half of her body, but proceed in the style of a loin cloth along the hips. She also wore a tattered brownish-red cape along with large metal arm guards on both arms, and Knee length boots the same color as her dress.

    Aruka has been initially shown to be a deeply kind and caring individual who knew the limit of her fragment, but would still join the resistance and fight against Adam Arclight and Simeon Company. She is shown to deeply care about the life and welfare of her brother, and would even sacrifice her life to buy time for her brother to escape the failed ambush plan to kill Adam Arclight.

    It is later revealed that Aruka was a double agent sent by Adam Arclight. Her personality is shown to be more ruthless and uncaring. She is in truth loyal to Adam Arclight and would easily kill others. She is incredibly proud of her status as a needless and her fragment stating that she is at the least a missing-link level needless. Like her brother she is also shown to be gifted in the area of deductive reasoning though to how much compared to Cruz is unknown.

    Her relationship with her brother Cruz Schild is complicated as she had initially deceived him about her true allegiances to Arclight. She has even stated directly to Cruz's faces that she had allowed that Testament to go ahead and attack him. She had even inflicted a fatal wound on Cruz and prevented as much as possible for others to save him. It is however notable that there have been at least 2 instances wherein Aruka has taken action or inaction that would allow for Cruz to keep surviving. the first instance in the Black Market wherein She had recognized Cruz from afar but did not mention it to her colleagues and underlings. The second is when she created a hole in the Impregnable Ice wall entrapping the citizens of the Black Market that prevented them from escaping, even killing an Overseer force agent, Kusaimon Nifter to prevent that act of betrayal from leaking out

    Ultimately it is shown that Aruka deeply cares for her brother, even going against Adam Arclight and sacrificing herself to give Cruz the chance to live. Her dying words indicated that she knew the potential that Cruz had, and that she knew her brother more deeply than she let on.

    Fragment: "Agnis Schiwattas" or "The Breath of Fire", Initially portraying herself as a needless with a weak fire fragment, capable of only creating a small flame on her hands and unable to take down a single testament herself. The true identity of Agnis Schiwattas allows her to accelerate the kinetic energy to vibrate the molecules resulting in massive explosions, melting solid objects and incinerating anything in mere seconds. She is even able to defeat other needless with a Fire fragment, who possess some resistance to heat easily.

    Moves:

    • Heat Explosion: A close combat move where a single touch from the attack instantly boils the insides of her opponent.

    • Remote Heat Explosion: an attack that transfers the heat from her palm to the ground, delivering infernal damage to those meters away from her.

19. #19Riru

    Keys: Psychokinesis, Riru Rokakuji, Riru

    Riru Rokakuji is one of the Four Strongest of Simeon . She is the leader of the Simeon Killer Girls Squad. Her Fragment power is Psychokinesis , a form of telekinesis and she is possibly the only one who possesses it, as hinted by Disc that this ability is pretty rare and the most powerful out of all fragments. She is always seen with a giant fan which she carries around using a combination of Psychokinesis and physical strength. She used to rule her own Black Spot until she met Arclight (a rather... interesting... encounter shown in Needless 0). She appears to be in a relationship with Arclight and sees all his forms as cute or beautiful.She is also part of the Eve series and has choker with EVE M on it.

    She has a long purple hair and eyes. Her hair goes all the way to her butt cheeks. Her maturely developed body is covered by a dark blue dress attached with two big circular metallic pieces around her hips and plates on her belly. Her long sleeves also have some small pieces on them. The skin from her neck to breasts is revealed except her nipples. Her left leg is revealed under the dress and ot seems like she wears black high heels.

    Riru is a very confident and intelligent woman. She was once a ruthless queen while reigning over her own Black Spot but after Arclight defeated her, she has chosen to follow his steps and become his oracle. Her confidence stay the same when facing others though. To her, Arclight is the Adam she was born to serve and has her head over heels for. It takes to a whole new level when she sometimes even dreams of him while moaning softly in her sleep. Her way of speech is like a nobility.

    Fragment: Psychokinesis - Allow Riru to control anything by mere thought. This ranges from Large multiple buildings to the most miniscule at the molecular level. examples of these are when she protected the Simeon Company building during the fight with and her stopping the attack of Blade's Agnis Shiwattas to render it useless.

    Unknown if it is due to Riru's status as a product of the Eve Project but aside from Psychokinesis, she can also use other forms of Psy energy, thus granting her other abilities such as Teleportation, Psychometry and Psychometry.

    Moves:

    • Psychokinesis

    • Eternal Distortion - A stronger version of her usually Psychokinesis, in which she attacks her enemies with a strong telekinetic push or pull.

    • Black Hole Dust Angel - Riru creates a Black hole to suck in her enemies. It is unknown if her enemies were to enter the event horizon of what their fates would be.

20. #20Arclight

    Keys: Arclight, Adam Arclight, PF Zero

    Adam Arclight is the current President of Simeon Pharmaceutical Company in the largest Black Spot in Japan. A member of the 666 Committee and a product of the Adam Project. making Adam Arclight a clone of The Second. He is a needless of unparalleled power with his PF Zero and Doppelganger.

    Adam Arclight sports a rather post-reboot Dante-esque appearance. He has pale skin and straight, white hair, as well as red eyes and a greenish gem on his forehead. His outfit is themed in black and red, consisting of a red and black trench, red slacks, and black dress shoes. Besides this, he wears a pair of silver earrings, and retains his metal collar from his creation. He has a cybernetic eye in his right eye and a cybernetic heart as the result from his initial rejection to Eden's Seed while still in the Adam Project.

    Arclight has a nearly crippling god complex, and is well aware of his power. He is extremely bitter after being cast aside by his creators in favor of Blade, and sought vengeance because of this. Arclight is cruel, ruthless, and precise in his actions, implying that he is extremely intelligent and capable. Leadership skills are also in his list of strong points, as he acts as the head of Simeon Pharmaceuticals and forms a cult of personality.

    That being said, Arclight is very aloof and mysterious, more often than not keeping important information well away from his subordinates and the outside world.

    Fragment: PF (Postive Feedback) Zero - Allows the user to copy or learn the fragment of other needless. Unlike Adam Blade's Zero however, Positive Feedback Zero allows Adam Arclight to have a much stronger version of the Fragment, compared to the original needless it was copied from. He is also noted to have a faster acquisition time of fragments compared to Adam Blade. He had learned Psychokinesis from Riru mere moments of their first encounter.

    Fragment: Doppelganger - Due to being part of the Adam Project, Adam Arclight possesses also the Doppelganger fragment. this allows him to freely manipulate his body into various forms. He frequently uses this fragment by morphing his body or parts of it into Eldritch Abominations . Typically involving forms with a lot of tentacles. He prefers using those forms to absorb other needless. This allows him a faster and more direct method of acquiring Fragments.

    Byakugou - As a product of being part of the Adam Project, Adam Arclight is also equiped with a Byakugou like Adam Blade.

21. #21Seto

    Keys: Grim Reaper, Graviton, Seto

    Seto is a young girl holding a large sword with a skull-design handle. She is a prominent member of the Black Spot's Mercenary Guild. For a while, due to unknown circumstances, Blade became her partner. Her fragment is 'Graviton', an ability that lets her control gravity. She calls herself a 'Shinigami' or 'Reaper'. She is obsessed with cash and became a mercenary to earn tons of it.

    She is a 17 years old with blonde ponytail hair. Her attire consists of black and white with the exception of her big bow tie behind her head being red. She wears a stylish black dress with white edge on the skirt and and her sleeves. She also wears while stockings and black shoes. Her eyes are grey.

    She has been noted as being very greedy for cash, driving her to accept more jobs from the Mercenary Guild. Her way of speech, especially in a fight is much of a loner who bears something horrible within that should be feared or avoided for other's sake. She acts like someone chosen to enact judgement on those who do wrong and deserve to be punished with the weight of their sins. When she fights someone, she talks about their soul like they'll be damned in the afterlife, never to return to this world. In summary, she thinks she's a Grim Reaper and talks like one most of the time.

    Seto is a needless and is an experienced combatant. She initially made others believe that her sword was the source of her powers, but in truth she was referring to her Right Arm as the sword of the Shinigami/Death God. Being a mercenary she has fought and won against multiple individuals. She possesses considerable proficiency in wielding her giant metal sword in combat against her opponents and frequently uses it in conjunction with her Fragment.

    Seto has good combative senses and teamwork even with those she has just met, and creating a combination attack. Seto also possesses decent observational and deductive reasoning skills, albeit not at the level of Cruz Schild. She was able to deduce that not only was Kanna's party the real people who made the request at the Mercenary Guild for protection, but that Solva and her group, known as Predators, at the time were the enemies.

    Fragment: Graviton - Allows the user to manipulate the gravitational forces. This can be used to either increase or decrease of an area or an individual. Seto uses her fragment in conjunction with her sword in striking her opponents. Upon engaging and enemy Seto usually reduces their gravity to a point wherein they float, thereby losing their footing. She then proceeds to attack them from above with her sword with increased gravity and the area surrounding her enemies.

    She has even been able to considerably hinder Mio's movement when she had increased her gravity. However the fact that Mio was at the time carrying an already incredibly heavy and gigantic Orichalum stuffed rabbit is also a factor to stopping Mio's movements at the time.

    Moves:

    • Predator Cross - A combination attack with Solva, wherein both their enemies are crashed onto each other at extreme height and/or speed.

    Gyro Gravitation: Releases a powerful gravity shock wave that knocks the enemy flying, then send them back to the ground it will cause a massive damage when those targets return to the ground due to the increased gravity.

    Graviton: Increases the gravity on a person or object. Gravity Deprive: Weakens the gravity on a person or object.

22. #22Solva

    Keys: Magnetic World, Solva

    Solva is a young girl with Magnets in her hair. Her Fragment is "Magnetic World" or in other words is "Magnetism". An ability that grants her power to manipulate metals and create a magnetic fields and shockwaves. Disc mentioned that her fragment is a 'Unique Magnetic Field' and that she can repel almost every attack in a 100 meter radius. She is sweet and charming on the outside but is a menace and a sadistic person on the inside. Solva is the leader of a gang of bandits called The Predators. After being defeated by Blade and Seto, she seems to have become Seto's partner, when Blade left them. She is a meglomaniac and her desire is for everyone to bow down before her as the ruler of Black Spot.

    Solva has the appearance of a cute dainty girl with blue hair tied by magnets in a twin tail style. She wears a black and white striped dress covering up to her wrist and just above her ankle with a pair of small wings at the back, a red ribbon at her chest and wears black boots.

    In combat however, her usually kind and gentle facade is replaced with a sadistic and menacing face and smile.

    Solva initially portrays a cute, kind and delicate young lady, who worries for others. Her true personality however is a megalomaniac who wishes to dominate and control others. Specifically she desires to rule all those who inhabit the black spot, and quite possibly the world.

    Fragment: Magnetic World - Allows the user to attract and or repel anything the user is aware of within a 100 meter radius, by creating a magnetic field where her hands are directed at. It is typically used by declaring either "Magnetic World (Attract/Attraction)" or "Magnetic World: Anti (Repel)" and the object or individual that Solva addresses. The object or individual need not be specifically named and may be as generalized or described by Solva.

    Aside from being a needless, Solva is also adept at deception, given her seemingly hidden true persona for those who initially meet her. She also displays a considerable amount of leadership ability and plundering skills, being the leader of "The Predators". A group of bandits in the black spot known for their ruthlessness. She is also a very capable fighter, able to perform combination moves with others she just met.

    Moves:

    • Magnetic World: Pulls the target near the user. It is also use as a defensive weapon.

    • Magnetic World: Anti: The opposite of Magnetic World, it repels the target away from the user.

    • Predator Cross Solo: The user creates 2 metallic wings and slamming it to the target while it was front of an huge object.

    • Magnetic Wings: attracts debrils from the surrounding to form a pair wings made out of them. The previous attack could only be used after this.

23. #23Shitenou

    Keys: Shitenou, Elite Four

    Shintenou is the 4 strongest Needless on the side of Simeon Company besides Adam Arclight. They are considered the strongest and the most capable out of all the Needless belonging to the Simeon Company and it's support group Killer Girls Squad. Aside from Adam Arclight and the 666 Committee they possess the highest authority in the company, and subsequently the Black Spot.

    Being part of the Shintenou is associated with not only the authority, power and wealth of the Simeon Company, but also indicates their vast superiority towards Mid-level Needless.

25. #25Predator

    Keys: The Predators

    The Predators are a group of bandit known and feared in the Largest Black Spot in Japan. They are infamous enough that people become afraid after hearing their name. Not much is initially known about them as they are known for being quite ruthless killer bandits. They are lead by the Needless Solva, and are made up of a 5-7 person group with varying ages and gender.

    They regard Simeon Company as a far larger threat to the entirety of the Black Spot than anything. This lead to them working together with the Mercenary Guild in the Black Spot to work together. Hence Seto and Solva's partnership, even though they were initially adversaries.

26. #26Mercenary

    Keys: Mercenary Guild · Secondary:

    Mercenary Guild is an organization in the Tokyo Black Spot which Seto and Solva are affiliated with. Blade was once a member of it as well.

    It's a place where members accept requests all over the Black Spot and get rewarded with monetary benefits for their deeds. That is the sole reason why Seto joined.

27. #27Testaments

    Keys: Testaments · Secondary:

    They are large spider drones created for the sole purpose of complete elimination. Made by Simeon itself.

    A Testament would commonly have thr size of a tank. It's body is made with many parts and wires covered by plates for a nice look. It's for legs are attached with wheels, allowing swift movements in a chase of it's target. It has some built-in artillery and an A.I trained to obey commands from Simeon members or anyone affiliated with the company.
