Zephyrix Flyman Flealet was born on the outskirts of a city in the Old World on the year 2000. From a very young age, tragedy struck him when his parents were kidnapped and murdered by a local mafia. After being orphaned, he was sent to an orphanage until a humble mechanic decided to adopt him.
Though Zephyrix barely remembers the man's name, he never forgot everything he learned by his side. For years, he worked alongside his adoptive father repairing machines and building small inventions, awakening a fascination with engineering that would define the rest of his life.
Zephyrix excelled academically from his very first day of school. However, his gentle, sensitive and somewhat fearful personality made him a frequent target of bullying, usually by those who considered him "effeminate."
It was during first grade that he met Wincey, a young brimstone moth girl with a determined attitude and a combative spirit. At first, they could barely stand each other. She hated having to rescue him. He hated needing to be rescued. Yet over the years they became inseparable.
While Zephyrix slowly adopted some of Wincey's courage and determination, she learned to show a softer and more vulnerable side of herself.
Unfortunately, the bullies who mocked Zephyrix eventually began targeting Wincey as well, even going as far as vandalizing her belongings. Zephyrix tried to stop them and was beaten badly for it. Tired of feeling weak, he began training in boxing during elementary school. His fighting style specialized in counterattacks, and he developed a signature technique known as the "Flight of the Fly", a rapid succession of chained cross-counter punches.
His newfound confidence and experience allowed him not only to drive away his bullies, but also to protect others who found themselves in the same position he once occupied.
During high school, Zephyrix and Wincey realized they had fallen in love. In ninth grade, he confessed his feelings and she accepted. Shortly after graduation, the mechanic who had raised him passed away, leaving Zephyrix a considerable inheritance that would later change the history of his world.

After a relatively quick trial, Zephyrix was given the inheritance that his father had saved for him.
The notary who delivered it was a friend of Zefirix's father, so when he handed over the inheritance, the notary paused for a moment to tell him a story.
That notary told him about his father's situation. His wife had passed away from a prion disease, which led that mechanic to seek refuge in alcohol to drown his sorrows.
Eventually, due to such a poor lifestyle, he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. This diagnosis made him reconsider his life choices and fulfill his wife's greatest wish: to have a child.
This mechanic went on and adopted who would later become Zephyrix Flyman, working as a mechanic to save a large inheritance for his son when he was gone.
Whether by divine intervention or sheer willpower, even with the poor treatment the mechanic received, he managed to survive long enough to see his son start high school, but the cancer metastasized to his brain, killing him in a matter of months.
The notary told Zefirix to value his father’s work and to use the money to build something worthwhile. Relieved, Zefirix decided to listen and not waste the money his father had given him for life.

The inheritance left by his father allowed Zephyrix and Wincey to marry at the age of twenty-one.
One year later, war broke out.
Zephyrix was drafted into military service. Despite his objections, Wincey refused to leave him behind and accompanied him to the battlefield. While Zephyrix served as a platoon captain, Vincia worked as a military nurse.
Throughout those years, Zephyrix killed many enemy soldiers. Every death weighed heavily on his conscience, but he convinced himself they were merely unavoidable consequences of war.
"Occupational hazards."
That was the phrase he repeated to himself.
During one mission, he killed Omar Reyes, brother of Jake Reyes, a prominent Russian lieutenant nicknamed "Goldee" because of his golden-colored skin, a consequence of a nuclear accident.
Jake witnessed the event and swore revenge.
Fate proved even crueler afterward.
An assault led by Goldee wiped out Zephyrix's entire military base. Among the dead was Wincey. With a single clean axe strike, Jake killed her. Realizing the gravity of what he had done, he set the base ablaze and hastily buried her body.
The loss shattered Zephyrix emotionally.
Soon afterward, he deserted the army.
He vanished from the world.
And began pursuing an impossible dream.

Zephyrix dedicated the rest of his life to fulfilling Wincey's final wish:
To create a place without war, violence or death.
A refuge where no one would ever suffer as they had.
Thus, Project Flyland was born.
Using investments made with the remnants of his adoptive father's inheritance, he secured enough resources to begin construction. For roughly three years he worked in complete isolation in a small pocket of the world —isolated enough to not be found by the government. It was in a very deep forest where he started to build. He designed entire ecosystems, created artificial species, built cities, developed guardians, engineered rational creatures and even constructed a butler named Jack.
Yet something was still missing.
Wincey.
His obsession with bringing her back grew alongside Flyland itself. Several resurrection attempts ended in failure. Eventually, he conceived an idea that seemed capable of succeeding:
The Universal Transportation Machine (UTM).
To build such a device, he needed an enormous laboratory comparable to a nuclear power plant. One failed experiment permanently scarred part of Flyland's ecosystem, but after twenty years of work he finally completed "Mr. Flyman's Lab", the technological heart of the entire project.
Everyone believed the laboratory existed merely to provide energy for the growing city.
Its true purpose remained secret.
Zephyrix intended to fix his mistakes.
And bring Wincey back.

As Flyland and, by extension, Mr. Flyman's Lab approached completion, Goldee learned through various sightings that Mr. Flyman was still alive.
He immediately began sabotaging the project.
After discovering the true purpose behind the laboratory, he gathered the entire Reyes family and launched a full-scale assault destined to destroy the UTM.
The invaders crossed regions such as the Minifly Forest, Flyland Harbor, the Flying Islands, the Moonlight Outskirts, the Bouncy Carnival and many others.
Along their journey they killed minions, defeated guardians, destroyed Central Lamposts and severely damaged Flyland's energy infrastructure.
They even recruited unlikely allies, including Frilly, messenger of the Reconquista Sect and servant of the Impostor Moon, a reprogrammed Announcer forced to spread lies on Flyland as well as Vaporhaze, later renamed Tim, the Lava Walker and a reprogammed BALLBOY.
The final battle took place inside Mr. Flyman's Laboratory.
Jack attempted to sacrifice himself so that Zephyrix could fulfill his dream.
But Mr. Flyman could not allow his creation to die for him.
Summoning all his courage, Zephyrix personally stood to defend the work to which he had devoted twenty-three years of his life.

During the battle, Goldee accidentally struck the control panel of the active UTM.
Because the machine had been hastily completed, critical flaws remained unresolved.
Reality collapsed.
Cracks spread across time itself.
From those fractures emerged an impossible entity:
The Time Twister, the corrupted personification of time.
Faced with a threat capable of destroying the entire universe, enemies and allies alike were forced to cooperate.
They encountered alternate versions of themselves from other universes and, together, constructed the starship SLICER (Spatial Laceration Interdimensional Conduit for Energy Rifts).
Their journey beyond reality had begun.
The SLICER traversed wormholes until it reached the Incenter, a realm where all universes were connected.
There they discovered the Time Twister's true form:
A colossal cosmic leech.
Following a long interdimensional chase, Mr. Flyman realized there was only one way to stop it.
Its heart had to be destroyed from within.
Ordering the others to create a diversion and asking them to return Jack safely to the laboratory should he fail to survive, Zephyrix made his choice.
He launched himself into the creature's mouth to be swallowed.
There he found its core.
And destroyed it.
The Time Twister was defeated.
The resulting explosion tore open countless wormholes throughout existence.

The explosion restored time.
The SLICER and its passengers were thrown back into the present.
Mr. Flyman was not.
Instead, he was sent into the past.
Wounded and alone, he found himself trapped in a mechanical corridor rapidly filling with toxic gas.
There, he believed he heard his father's voice encouraging him to keep going.
After a while, Wincey appeared beside him.
She helped him walk.
She ran beside him as she had when they were children.
Zephyrix had never been good at running. He always preferred the air. Yet just like in those distant days, she supported him when he could no longer stand.
Eventually, she gave him the strength necessary to reach a massive valve and close it, preventing a catastrophic accident.
When he finally collapsed, Wincey sat beside him, held his hand and promised she would never leave him.
Then Zephyrix lost consciousness.
What seemed to be the end was not.
Jack located him through a temporal portal opened by the SLICER and brought him to safety before another paradox could emerge.
After the valve had been closed, a Zephyrix nineteen years younger walked through the corridor, never realizing that the person who had saved him was his future self.
To the Reyes family, Mr. Flyman died a hero.
To the creatures of Flyland, he returned triumphant.
And to himself...
He had finally fulfilled his dream.
Flyland survived. Its creatures survived.
And although Wincey was no longer physically by his side, her memory remained with him.
Every street built. Every creature created. Every sunrise over Flyland.
All of it was proof that the love which started everything was still alive.
- #8The present!

Two days after repairing the damage caused by Jake's assault, Flyland finally returned to normal.
Mr. Flyman rebuilt the UTM, this time completing the vision he had originally intended for the machine.
The calculations were finally correct.
Using components recovered from the SLICER, he modified the machine so that it could create stable wormholes to alternate timelines.
Once the work was finished, Mr. Flyman stood before his creation.
He thought about Wincey, but enough was enough.
He had already spent decades chasing the past.
This time, he chose to let it go.
But this was such a wonderful scientific discovery!
So, he had to test it.
