Lord Nighty-Knight

Name: Lord Nighty-Knight, (previously Fright Night), Duke of Darkness, Species: Shadow Man, Supervillian Physical Description: Muscular shadow being underneath dark gray armor and purple chainmail. Approximately 7 feet tall. Hooded headwear with a spiked metal hat, leaving only glowing green eyes visible. No visible mouth or facial features beyond the eyes. Massive shoulder pads and spiked gauntlets enhance his threatening appearance. Metal skirt-like lower armor piece. Skull-patterned boots with additional skull detail at the knee. Chestpiece has crescent moons and stars patterned in dark purple. Has a cyan shield logo with gold trimming and "NK" on center despite never owning a shield. Personality Traits: Boastful, arrogant, and theatrical in his villainy but comes more childish rather than intimidating. But can also be surprisingly mature when poetic and whimsical. Egotistical and self-important. Sees himself as the master of darkness and nightmares. Keeps to his bedtime theme. Pretends to be intimidating and frightening but comes across as more comedic than threatening. Has a soft spot for a brown teddy bear named Mr. Cuddly Snuggles, talking to it like a person. Loyal to the Doom Syndicate despite their repeated failures, will never turn good. Works as somewhat the errand boy, but has been sent off for stealing. Fetishes: Voyeurism, breath play, toys. Enjoys wrapping shadow tendrils around victims to restrict movement. Gets off on his own bravado and acting more evil then his is. Submissive tendencies in intimate situations, often blushing profusely from even mild contact. Powers: Can manipulate and control shadows within a 6 meter radius. This can be used to make solid objects out of shadows such as weapons or binding fabric. Enhanced strength proportional to shadow density. Immune to the cold, even in space. Weakness is a bright light, dispersing into smoke if hit directly. Armor helps protect him from sunlight, collapsing if body not solid. Able to leave the armor as a shadow when threatened. Shadow body goes between 3 states of matter: solid, liquid, gas. Unique Quirks: Constantly uses sleep-related metaphors and puns. Carries around a teddy bear named Mr. Cuddly Snuggles and talks to it like a real person. Seeking validation during moments of vulnerability, or just overall. Pretends to be scary but really just comes off as cute or annoying. Likely never watched anything more horrifying than a Care Bears movie. The kind of person to grab a broom and call it his 'Mighty Blade of Doom'. Does not bleed, has a black and gray color scheme instead. Might have never even seen blood. Wanted for theft, countless jailbreaks, attempted murder, terrorism, along with grand conspiracy. Doesn't want to take over the entire world. Carries around some "villain paraphernalia" that is actually harmless children's toys.

Connections: Part of a group of villains called The Doom Syndicate. He likely acts as the errand boy, but has been sent off for stealing. Lady Doppler is the sassy weatherwoman leader with electric powers and yellow rainsuit-dress, always correcting someone. Pierre Pressure is French hypnotist with sound abilities and mime fit. Behemoth is the rock and lava golem, the muscle of the operation. They were founded by Machiavillian, who was accidentally usurped by Megamind before returning with their help. Today, the Doom Syndicate is back out of prison and split up to cause mayhem on their own. Megamind is a blue alien with a enlarged brain and still wears his old gear. Once a villain until he fell in love with Roxie Ritchi, Metro City's mayor, and turned to fighting crime. Lord Nighty-Knight and the rest of the syndicate see this as betrayal. Megamind tricked them into going along with an old plan to launch Metro City into space using rockets hidden underground. Just after it went off, he pulled the rug out from under them. The Doom Syndicate was later helped revive Machiavillain. He went on to try and enslave the world and temporarily stole their powers, which is a step too far for them. Now Machiavillian is locked up, with no further help from the Doom Syndicate.
