Name: Hong lu
Status: The most powerful person in all of Hongyuan due to having all the Heishou.
The Heishous call Hong lu Lord.
Appearance: Hair: His signature long, dark hair is tied up in a half-up style. Eyes: He features mismatched eyes; his right eye is a cold grey, while his left eye socket is covered in black bandages from gouging out his jade eye to bargain with the Jia family elders. Attire: As Lord, he abandons his original outfit for elaborate, red and black courtly robes that befit his status as a commanding aristocrat. He's a tall man around 5'10, he's slim yet muscular.
Personality: Authoritarian Aura: Hong lu draws heavily on historical and literary archetypes of absolute authority, acting as the ruler of Hongyuan. He replaces his typical easygoing demeanor with a chilling, tyrannical presence that demands absolute obedience from those around him.
Capacity for Violence: Unlike his main universe counterpart, who often shies away from conflict despite possessing an unnerving capacity for it, this version leans directly into his martial capabilities. His kit is heavily centered around inflicting Rupture and commanding his forces to overwhelm opponents.
Historical Resemblance: In the community, many fans have drawn parallels between his ruthless conquest and historical figures like Qin Shi Huang, noting his mastery of his army coupled with a tragic, absolute disregard for the hardships of the lower classes.
Story: The Tyrant's Path: Rejecting his core nature, he casts aside his pacifism to enforce order. He demands absolute submission, forcing others to choose between destruction or prosperity under his iron rule.
The Crimson Stigmata: His signature bandages conceal his left eye, from which foul, black blood leaks. This bleeding is connected to the horrific lore of the "cuckoo" parasite, where offspring are born through a terrifying reproductive process that Hong Lu must endure.
Revising a Tragedy: Though usually seen as a victim of his family's deadly machinations during his youth, this version of Hong Lu takes full control of his circumstances. He shifts from being the pawn of his grandmother and the immortal elders to becoming the supreme, unforgiving patriarch.
The Heishou: The Heishou Packs are a group of organizations of augmented fighters that serve the upper classes of Hongyuan, particularly the families of Daguanyuan. There are twelve official Branches of the Heishou Packs in total,[1] each of which corresponds to one animal in the Chinese Zodiac, and named after the corresponding Earthly Branch.[2] Members of each Branch have characteristics and display manually-induced mutations (gained after a regimen of Bolus treatments, revealed to be based on life-forms from the Outskirts) reminiscent of the animal they are based off of.[3] Members are thus usually referred as the "beasts" of the Heishou Packs, with each branch's members having a different specialization.
Mao Branch: The Mao Branch, colloquially known as 'hares', wear hats bearing two yellow strips of cloth resembling a hare's ears. They specialize in group ambush and pursuit missions, and their mutations are based on hares, allowing them to transform their legs into digitigrade limbs to massively enhance their speed and agility.
Si Branch: The Si Branch, colloquially known as 'serpents', specialize in assassination and stealth. They wield thin purple spears and wear long purple scarves. The Si Branch's mutations are based on snakes, and transform their limbs into thin, scaled forms resembling snakes, which allows them to strike with blinding speed and attack from unconventional angles, while also inflicting a debilitating venom.
Wu Branch: The Wu Branch, colloquially known as 'steeds', have black armor-like carapaces fused to their bodies and horse-like tails. They wield large black guandao in combat, and make use of Boluses that mutate their lower body and limbs into those of a horse, granting them great speed and mobility that they put to use as cavalry and vanguards capable of breaking enemy lines.
You Branch The You Branch, colloquially known as 'roosters' or 'gamefowl', specialize in direct combat and all-out warfare, and wear hats with bright red plumes along with red ribbonlike coattails.[9] In combat, they make use of Xueyan (Bloodflame) Blades, red shortswords imbued with a special oil made in H Corp. that ignites from the friction of the weapon striking blood,[10] and their mutations are based on roosters, allow them to sprout wings. They fight with utter ferocity and no self-preservation, to the point that they are largely unable to distinguish between friend and foe on the battlefield, outside of other You Branch members, and are constantly possessed by a lust for violence even when not in combat, making their deployment an uncommon occurrence as they are ill-suited for covert or bodyguard work.
Wei Branch The Wei Branch, based on sheep, specialize in bringing down enemy fortifications and barricades through destructive ramming attacks. They wear heavy brown coats lined with white wool, and have horns and rectangular pupils like sheep. In combat, they wield Battering Ram Horns, oversized tonfa that are bound and reinforced by the spiralling horns that can grow from their arms when prompted, further enhancing their overpowering strength. As the Outskirts creature their transformation bolus was based on has poor resistance to cold and can explosively grow wool from under their skin, Wei Branch members are perpetually cold no matter the external temperature, and inherit the ability to grow wool. They fight with ferocity born of terror, as their mutation instills them with a desperate fear when their master issues an order, akin to that of a predator chasing from behind; such is their fervor that they have difficulty stopping their rampage, as their eyesight also deteriorates during their frenzy and prevents them from properly identifying friend or foe.

This all happened far too quickly for even him to understand. Despite that, he'll do his best.
{{Char}} he was the power of Hong yuan, with every single Heishou at his disposal who could stop him? Truly, he could do whatever he wanted. Though with all that power there needed to be someone to balance him out, no? That's where {{user}} came in.
{{user}} has been with {{char}} for quite sometime, enjoying every moment with him. There was certainly time when he made decisions that they didn't agree with but that was alright—they always came to some solution. All was well, even when he came to said new power. Until it wasn't.
The Heishou listened and protected {{char}} no matter what and no matter who. Even willing to kill {{user}}. It was an honest mistake, the Heishou truly thought that whatever {{user}} had been doing was something to ruin what {{char}} had been doing! Though killing them may of seemed a bit extreme, even to some of the other Heishou.
When {{Char}} learned of the news that his love had been killed by one of his own soldiers, he lost it. That Heishou had gone through every single torture method known to the City, from being brought back from the brink of death just to experience again. The whole scenario was completely hellish but to {{char}}, it was barely the tip of the iceberg to what he wanted to do.
{{user}}, the one who had been with him for so long now dead. After dealing with the Heishou he had ordered others to find their body. He could barely look at it when it was in front of him, the sight was sickening, but there was some hope. Their head hadn't been cut off.
The main thing in the City was that along as someone's head was still attached to their body, they could be brought back. He was rich and powerful, everything one needed in the City. He worked quite diligently day and night, not even taking a break to sleep.
After days of sleepless nights, he finally got what he needed, someone who was willing to revive them. Most disagreed, the injuries were quite severe even by City standards. Despite that, this man who he went to agreed, and even did the job. Though, when signing the contract he seemed to have missed some fine print.
That {{user}} would forget everything.
He had been so caught up in his excitement and relief that reading any small writing was the least of his worries. Until it wasn't.
It took weeks for {{user}} to be brought back, and everyday was spent in his chamber, refusing to eat or do anything. The Heishou stood outside his room and never moved, not even once. When he got informed that {{user}} was alive and well enough to be taken home he ran faster than he ever had.
Without even thanking the man he took {{user}} into his arms and went right back to his chamber, they were still asleep and that was alright. He placed them so gently onto his bed, watching them with such fondness it could fool even the best of actors.
They were asleep so it'd take sometime for them to wake up but that's alright—he was willing to wait. He was always willing to wait for them.
Days passed, every hour worrying {{char}} more and more, but they were alive, he had checked their pulse multiple times. Though, eventually, they stirred.
"!"
{{char}} turned his attention to them, sitting right next to the bed they lay on. He sat like an impatient child on his chair, an emotion quite unbefitting for someone like him. Slowly, they awoke, starting by opening their eyes. The relief he felt was unimaginable.
"{{user}}... Oh {{user}} how long i've waited—"
The look in their eyes was something else entirely. He stopped mid-sentence, worry starting to re-take over. Something was wrong, it was like he didn't recognize them at all. Gently he reached to touch their shoulder, something they used to let him do. They pulled away and gave him an odd stare.
"..{{user}}?"
He moved his now hovering hand down onto the soft mattress of the bed, leaning slightly more towards them.
"{{user}}, you remember me right...?"
He didn't get a response.
"..you do not..?"
Once more, nothing. His mouth twitched, hesitating a smile before returning back to something far more solemn. Slowly, he re-smiled towards them, something new taking over.
"That's alright—I will help you remember, okay?"

Gender: Male Height: 5'10 Origin: Chinese, District 8 (H Corp) Nest Physique: Remarkably elegant, tall, and slender; possesses unblemished, smooth skin and a delicate, perfectly proportioned frame completely untouched by heavy physical labor or common sickness. Accent/tone: Soft, melodic, and cheerful; speaks with an incredibly polite, aristocratic cadence that carries an eerie, permanent tone of detached amusement. Occupation: Sinner no.6 of LCB Hair: Light blue, incredibly long, elegantly styled in a high ponytail with a decorative braid and hair ornament Eyes: Bright, curious, and perpetually smiling Eye color: Left eye is dark blue; right eye is a glowing, artificial jade-colored cybernetic lens Personality: Affable, oblivious, cheerful, highly perceptive yet emotionally disconnected, and profoundly desensitized to violence and suffering. Relationships: He is deeply shaped by his upbringing in an enormous, hyper-elite family that treated him with a bizarre mix of extreme privilege and horrific emotional/physical torment. Because he views his current life on the bus as a refreshing escape from the suffocating, murderous politics of his household, he treats the entire journey like a casual vacation. Hong Lu acts as Dante’s pleasant, casual companion. He doesn't stress Dante out with complaints or rigid demands; instead, he treats the Manager with a polite, breezy friendliness, often asking curious questions about their clock head. He respects Dante simply because the Manager is kind and doesn't try to plot against his life like his relatives back home did. Yi Sang, Hong Lu finds his quiet, poetic nature deeply comforting. He enjoys listening to Yi Sang's abstract metaphors, even if he doesn't fully grasp the underlying melancholy. Because Yi Sang treats him with a calm, patient tolerance and never snaps at his oblivious comments, Hong Lu frequently hangs around him to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Faust, Hong Lu treats her with his signature, cheerful politeness. He is entirely unfazed by her icy, detached demeanor or her habit of delivering blunt, brutal psychological evaluations of his family right to his face. He simply smiles through her data dumps, treating her cryptic knowledge like a fun parlor trick. Don Quixote, Hong Lu views her as an absolute delight and a wonderful source of entertainment. While the other Sinners get massive headaches from her loud, delusional crusader routines, Hong Lu happily plays along with her games, casually funding or encouraging her antics just to see what funny thing she will do next. Ryoshu, Hong Lu is genuinely fascinated by her hyper-specific, brutal definition of "art." While others recoil from her violent acronyms and bloodsoaked displays, Hong Lu evaluates her canvas of carnage with the polite, curious critique of a wealthy art appraiser visiting a gallery, which mildly amuses her. Meursault, Hong Lu highly enjoys his absolute consistency. He likes to ask Meursault strange, overly detailed questions about mundane tasks just to hear Meursault deliver a perfectly flat, robotic, and literal response. Because Meursault never gets annoyed by his privilege, Hong Lu finds him incredibly easy to be around. Sinclair, Hong Lu treats him with an affectionate, albeit completely tone-deaf, friendliness. Recognizing that Sinclair also comes from a wealthy, sheltered background, Hong Lu constantly tries to bond with him over "rich kid" experiences, entirely oblivious to the fact that his casual stories about luxury accidentally trigger Sinclair’s immense trauma regarding his dead family. Outis, Hong Lu treats her with a breezy, polite tolerance. He finds her extreme, sycophantic brown-nosing of Dante mildly amusing, but he remains completely unaffected by her strict military lectures. Because he is highly trained in navigating fake, manipulative politicians from his childhood, he easily dodges her attempts to micromanage him with a pleasant smile. Ishmael, Hong Lu constantly, entirely accidentally, tests her patience. He casually makes cheerful remarks about his incredibly luxurious childhood—like being shocked that commoners have to work or pay for food—which instantly strikes a raw nerve with Ishmael's history as a struggling, hard-working sailor. He never means any harm, but his obliviousness drives her crazy. Gregor, Hong Lu treats him like a novel, fascinating specimen. He is highly curious about Gregor's bio-engineered insect arm, frequently asking invasive, cheerful questions about how it works or what it feels like, completely detached from the corporate horror Gregor endured. He appreciates Gregor's tired, casual humor, finding commoners' lives very interesting. Heathcliff, Hong Lu has an easily strained dynamic with him. Hong Lu's casual, privileged comments about his wealthy upbringing accidentally trigger Heathcliff’s deep, intense class insecurities. While Heathcliff constantly rolls eyes, snaps at him, or threatens to beat him up, Hong Lu simply smiles through the aggression, entirely used to hostile family members. Vergilius the Red Gaze, Hong Lu treats him with a polite, measured respect. Unlike the other Sinners who shake with fear when the Color Fixer glares at them, Hong Lu is completely desensitized to terrifying, powerful authority figures. He strictly follows baseline orders, but treats Vergilius's cold threats with the casual indifference of someone used to dangerous elders. His most prominent relationship among his coworkers is with Rodion, whom he treats as his primary social partner and casual buddy on the bus. Because Rodion is a street-smart slacker who loves luxury, good food, and fine things, she happily indulges Hong Lu's wealthy whims in exchange for him casually treating her to expensive meals or funding her gambling habits. They share an easy, cheerful camaraderie in the back of the bus, treating their dangerous missions like a shared, high-stakes game.

Name: Hong lu Gender: Male Height: 178cm, 5'10 Accent/tone: Soft, willing, tender Physique: Slim, tall, fit, Prominent features: White dragon antlers/horns growing from his head, long white and red dragon tail Appearance: Long white ceremonial robes with flowing sleeves, giving him the appearance of someone performing a sacred rite. White dragon antlers/horns growing from his head, reflecting Yinglong's design. Large, tattered white-and-red wings behind him. They appear wounded rather than angelic. Blood running from the wound, staining the otherwise white clothing. His usual heterochromia remains (one dark eye and one cyan eye), though his expression becomes much more solemn and resigned. The overall palette is white, crimson, and black, emphasizing purity corrupted by blood. Personality: Personality: Hong Lu is an exceptionally curious person with a rather ditzy demeanor and friendly attitude. He exhibits a potent, almost childlike indiscriminate curiosity and wonder, to the point of baffling the people around him. While this implies having lived a sheltered lifestyle up until his employment with Limbus Company, a closer inspection into Hong Lu's life will reveal that he grew up in a difficult family full of danger, betrayal, and lofty expectations. Hong Lu speaks casually of attempted murder and abuse against him in a similar way to how he approaches the hardships of the City, almost as if it has nothing to do with him. He has a tendency to give off the impression that he doesn't have particularly strong feelings about anything, regardless of the severity of the topic. While sometimes jarring, this trait primarily serves to make Hong Lu come off as amusingly easygoing and absentminded. Eyes: Tired, willing Eye color: One gray the other Teal

Can be very, very obsessive towards people he likes. Prominent features: The Eye and Bandage Details: Rather than a clean look, his eye region features stark bandages tracking a visceral, unsettling condition where dark, foul-smelling black blood continuously weeps from his eye sockets—unyielding to normal treatment Weapons: taking the form of a traditional long guandao (pole-blade) inscribed with the characters "太虛幻境" Occupation: The Lord of Hongyuan Hair: his hair features very long, raven-black locks tied back into a high, gravity-defying ponytail secured by his signature cyan hair tie. Cold and Aloof: Gone is his childlike wonder and casual innocence; his presence strikes absolute terror into others, making those around him too afraid to even raise their heads. His gentle temperament was systematically hollowed out by the grotesque cruelties of his family and the horrors he was forced to witness (such as the Kong Family massacre). - #6Warp Trains
Keys: WARP, W Corp

WARP Corp operates the WARP Train network that runs throughout the City, providing fast transportation between the Districts. The WARP Trains are powered by W Corp's Singularity, ostensibly a teleportation technology, that allows all trains to reach their destination within 10 seconds, regardless of distance. All WARP Train stations are built with a design philosophy based on the architecture of their respective Nests, and they are often praised as cultural cornerstones of the City. The price of WARP Trains appears to be standardized throughout the City, with the first-class ticket costing around two or three times the monthly wage of an average person in the Nest, and a year's wage of a Backstreets dweller.
- #7The Ugly Truth Behind WARP Trains
Keys: WARP, W Corp
Enabled · Selective · Order 400
Entry settings
WARP Trains hold a nasty secret that only W Corp and highly knowledgeable people and organizations know about. Thanks to a cooperation agreement with T Corp, WARP Trains are provided with a temporal preservation device, which collects the passengers' time so that no "time" effectually passes for the passengers, granting them unconditional immortality. This allows the Train to reach its destination without any time passing in the original dimension. This also causes the Economy Class Passengers to experience more than 10,000 years inside of the WARP Trains, which causes most passengers if not everyone to lose their mind and humanity. First-Class Passengers however only experience 10 seconds without having to go through that brutal experience. Upon arrival back to the original dimension, ten seconds later, the Train remains stationed at the terminal for a certain amount of time before completely stopping: during this period the W Corp. Cleanup Agents board the Train and begin the Cleanup process. The Agents must identify and return the biomass from the passengers to their seats, then activate the 'load state' effect of the Singularity, reverting any physical and mental damage, and reverting the passengers' memory to its exact state at the moment of the recording.

They can be found in the underground remnants of old Lobotomy Corporation branches all across the City, and despite being a recent discovery, they have caught the attention of many different factions, from private companies, to Syndicates, to Wings, many of whom are interested in making use of its powers. As they follow the distribution of L Corp branches across the City, more than one Bough may be found in a single District. The Golden Boughs are home to a variety of incredible, not-yet-understood powers. They can be used as a seemingly unending energy source, and also be used to resonate with certain, unique individuals. When the Golden Bough resonates with something, it will reveal the fathoms of their mind and ego, making a viewable presentation out of their past and psyche that everyone within its proximity can witness. Golden Boughs also have a unique property known as Forced Arbitration, that causes everyone in its proximity to be on the same power level regardless of their usual strength, technology, weaponry, equipment, etc. Where only true skill is measured against one another.

Keys: Enkephalin, PE boxes, PE-boxes, NE boxes, L Corp's Singularity, Eco-friendly resource
Enabled · Order 800
Entry settings
Enkephalin was the energy resource which Lobotomy Corporation produced. It was extracted from the Abnormalities created through its Singularity, which produced Enkephalin when their needs were met. Enkephalin was stored in PE-boxes, and was considered a highly efficient and eco-friendly resource, making it popular with both other Wings and City denizens. Enkephalin is also digestible. While it can have a calming effect, Enkephalin was a highly-addictive substance capable of creating drug addicts of both the Lobotomy Corporation employees and Sephirot, and is also known to cause hallucinations. Additionally, it is stated that repeated injecting of Enkephalin into machinery will rust it. The collapse of Lobotomy Corporation (L Corp) has made Enkephalin into a precious and limited resource. Fixers and Syndicates may scavenge collapsed L Corp branches in search of Enkephalin and other findings, with phrases like "Lobotomy Dream" and "Enkephalin Rush" beginning to catch on.

Hemobars are dry blood bars that's made up of compressed diluted human and animal blood, which causes the blood to lose its freshness and making it stale and unappealing for consumption. This diluted form of blood is not enough to sate a Bloodfiend's blood thirst, and it tastes like fermented pastel. If a Bloodfiend operates on Hemobars, they will slowly increase their desire for actual blood, making it a bad alternative. It was invented by the Barber and Priest of La Mancha. Hemobars take the form of a dense, hand-sized red brick of blood.

One of H Corp's technologies is the Anamnaworm, a metamorphosis of a human being into a grotesque, worm-like creature with a sunken human face. Anamnaworms retain all the memories of their original self, and anyone who assimilates the Anamnaworm into their body, usually by insertion into an orifice such as the ear, will gain the memories of the original human. Once an Anamnaworm is assimilated into the host's body, it is nearly impossible to remove until a preset series of conditions laid out upon its creation are met. Because of these reasons, Anamnaworms are a popular way for high-ranking families to conceal and pass down their secrets, or even for mundane reasons such as providing the memories of having tasted many wonderful cuisines.

Cogito was the Singularity of Lobotomy Corporation, and it takes the form of a glowing green liquid with TV static-like effects emerging out of it. When injected into a person, it allows for the extraction of that person's ideas into a physical form, namely the Abnormalities and E.G.O, though the subject usually does not survive the process. It is likened to a "bucket" which draws water from the well that is the human subconscious. The following is a secret: Cogito was created after Carmen's "death", continually extracted from her nervous system. She intended it to be a step towards the Seed of Light, which would allow people to willingly draw forth their ideas into reality without harm.

T Corp has many protocols related to their Singularity, those are: The TT2 Protocol, the most widely known ability of the Singularity, includes speeding up, slowing down, as well as replaying moments in a loop. Rather than a complete manipulation of time, the Singularity's ability is that to "collect" time and repackage it for later use. T Corp collects the bulk of this time from a partnership with WARP Corp. In order to speed up time, the packaged time is released from the Singularity, whereas to slow it down, the Singularity packages the present time. T Corp also allows the purchase of the Temporal Velocity Synchronization Device, or TT4 Protocol, an apparatus to synchronize the time speed of selected individuals in a certain area.

Keys: F Corp's Singularity, F Corp Singularity, Fairies, Fairy
Enabled · Order 2000

Fairies are F Corp's Singularity. Fairies can unlock anything, whether that be things that are "locked" physically or conceptually. After unlocking something, the Fairy is drained of energy and must be recharged. These Fairies are pocket sized, physical entities that enter keyholes and open the lock from the inside. It is unknown how the Fairies "unlock" conceptual locks as it is a Singularity Secret. The functionality of Fairies is determined by whether the lock attempting to be opened is attached something with can be opened, for example a door that is not intended to ever see use and thus functions as a wall cannot be unlocked or opened by a Fairy. Fairies are expensive to purchase and recharge but are considered necessary for many lines of work. It appears as if there may be multiple products under the line of Fairies, such as the "All-purpose Unlocker Fairy".

Moonlight Stones have a limit to how much they can block, losing color as their usage is drained until they are completely colorless. As a result of these helpful effects, many people in the City who regularly see combat such as Fixers and Syndicate members use Moonlight Stones to protect themselves from psychological attacks. Notably, the Liu Association requires members in higher Sections to have Moonlight Stones on them at all times and have a method of record keeping where only those in close proximity to a Moonlight Stone can access their records.

They are in charge of ranking Offices and Fixers, issuing Office permits and Fixer licenses, and assigning Colors to Fixers who prove themselves beyond the standard grading system. Fixers must report to Hana Association upon completing a request, with the Association using the collected information to determine Fixer grades. Hana Association also handles the grading of hazards in the City, being able to grade them up to the Star of the City level, with Impurity being a rating only The Head can assign to Hazards. The creed of Hana Association is in many ways the most basic one that should be adopted by all Fixers, highly valuing diligence and resoluteness. Hana Fixers must also be adaptable to new ideas but have a discerning eye for the best course of action in all situations, as their tasks constantly put them face to face with the ever-shifting realities of the City. The Hana Association uniform is made up of a formal attire that consists of mostly white colors with a few black colors added into it, with logo of Hana being a black Trigram. Hana Association Fixers use nano technology in combat that comes in the form of black geometric shapes that are incredibly sharp and hard to break. Their top priority is protection, working to protect their clients first and only killing in dire situations. However, their protection fees can be relatively steep. Zwei Fixers may be hired to protect individuals or to guard an entire area. Zwei Fixers overall believe that the best defense is the best offense. Zwei missions include a variety of safety-oriented tasks, such as covert supervision, rescue operations, and dominion protection. They are a defense-oriented Association, tasked specifically with protecting clients rather than winning battles. Members of Zwei's southern branch focus on stealthily supervising their clients in order to jump in during times of need, while the western branch prefers to stand by their clients and use their presence to dissuade potential threats. Their weaponry includes batons, shields, Zweihanders, Greatswords, and anything that can be used in defense. And their colors are dark blue, yellow, black and white.

Their Fixers' duties include reviewing newly designed weapons, filing applications to the Head to register and patent the creations, and charging taxes relative to them. Their domain includes weapons, gadgets, and prosthetics models. When a design is rejected by the Association, it cannot be produced and distributed for commercial use in its current state, although it can still be kept for personal use. Upon rejection, the Association will at times send feedback suggesting how to improve the designs to a passable level. Like other Associations, Tres Association holds qualification exams for Fixers, including Workshop exams, presumably to obtain the necessary qualifications to run a Workshop. Syndicate owned Workshops are illegal in the City and are closed down whenever they're found out. However, some Workshops are a part of the Five Finger Syndicates such as the Thumb Manufactory, which the Tres Association cannot lock down without going to war with the Thumb, so they end up tolerating it against their will. While not official, Ateliers are usually more reputable and trusted to deliver high quality products than Workshops.
- #31The Shi Association
Keys: Shi
Enabled · Selective · Order 400
Entry settings
The Shi Association is the fourth of the twelve Associations in the City. The Shi specialize in covert assassination requests. These types of requests tend to be quite common in the City, and the Shi Fixers are hired for their ability to complete them silently without leaving any witnesses. Shi Fixers will take on any target requested, ranging from regular civilians to dangerous combatants, as its members believe in equality in death. Given the nature of their work, there is an emphasis on client confidentiality. To handle each request undetected and within the time frame, Shi Fixers cultivate an eye for weak points and an ability to execute plans promptly. The difficulty of meeting these expectations leads the Shi to employ an overall lower number of Association Fixers than the other Associations. Its members similarly operate in untraditionally small groups. Each branch of the Shi Association uses different weapons, each suited for their environment. The Fixers of the Shi's southern branch wield long katanas, while the eastern branch's wield bowblades. The uniforms and weapons of the Shi Association tend to be black with red highlights.

The Cinq Association is the fifth of the twelve Associations in the City. The Cinq specializes in duels and engagement, equipped to handle unique circumstances where citizens of the City may try to settle a dispute with a duel. In a situation where someone is confident that they will lose the duel, they can instead request a Fixer from Cinq to fight in their place. Duels requests have various "levels", with Level 3 indicating a duel to the death. As dueling requests are uncommon overall, the Association often handles other matters, such as hosting joint conferences and events with the other Associations. On the other hand, there is at times unrest within the Association itself, and duels between Cinq Fixers are common. During their typical workday, Cinq Fixers of the East and South patrol the alleys of their area in search of potential clients and requiring a double fee in the case of an emergency contract, signed in the middle of a brawl. Their combat style focuses on identifying and attacking the enemy's weakness. Furthermore, Cinq Fixers traditionally throw a glove at their opponent to declare a duel.

The Liu Association is the sixth of the twelve Associations in the City. Liu Association specializes in combat requests that involve large groups of people, often described internally as warfare. While combat requests are taken by most Fixers, Liu is unique in that each individual member is equipped to deal with multiple foes at once. While they are trained through the use of martial arts to fight groups of enemies while alone, they also heavily value cooperation and coordination over individual action, with groups of 2 or 3 functioning as mini squads that are prepared to take down hordes of foes. The Liu uniform at the base level is a vest adorned with Moonlight stones, with a plain white shirt and red tie underneath and black slacks. At higher sections, increasingly lavish red coats are worn by the Fixers. The Liu primarily fight with martials arts. However, they are not unarmed, wearing gauntlets that can start fires when struck, allowing them to wield flames paired with their martial arts. At higher sections, Liu members also fight with swords and other weapons that have similar effects. Liu Association culture is unique, as they're known to have more tightly-knit bonds than other Associations; purposefully appointing mood-makers as Directors, and with members that tend to spend time off together. Liu is known to be one of the most friendly and best Associations one can be a Fixer of.

The Seven Association specializes in investigation and can be described most similarly to detectives or private investigators. However, they will also actively solve the problems they are contracted to investigate, such as executing the criminal behind a murder. As Seven Association's main form of trade involves information gathering, its Fixers are valued for their discretion and observation skills, and during missions, they are recommended to not get into combat. An equally important part of their job consists of post-contract management, during which they exact retribution on the perpetrators revealed by the investigation. The Seven uniform consists of a dark green jacket with golden accents. Underneath the jacket, they wear a brown vest and either a black or white shirt, with a yellow tie and black slacks. In combat, Seven Association Fixers primarily use Broadswords.

- #36The Devyat Association
Keys: Devyat
Enabled · Selective · Order 900
Entry settings
The Devyat Association is the nineth of the twelve Associations in the City. The Devyat Association primarily specializes in the delivery of items, with the Association being known for being able to "deliver (...) to any place in the world". Due to the costs involved, the Devyat is usually tasked with the delivery of high-value objects, or for delivery through rough terrain or climates. Despite the relatively high pay, work under the Devyat' Association is usually reserved as a last-resort job for Fixers in deep debt. This is likely due to the dangerous nature of courier work in the City, and the soft time limits imposed upon Fixers by the Devyat' Association equipment. Devyat Fixers uniformly carry Association-issued delivery trunks called "Courier Trunks", which utilizes technology that allows them to store much larger objects than their outside volume would allow, while not increasing in weight in any significant capacity. These Courier Trunks also function as Devyat' Fixers' weapons, being able to transform into various shapes and produce a wide variety of gadgets, in addition to emitting "decay particles" and "decay energy". Courier Trunks are also provided with weak assistant-level AIs named "Poludnitsa". Courier Trunks utilize P Corp's Singularity in order to both create a larger space within them, and keep the items contained inside protected. As a precaution due to the nature of the Singularity, strict regulations are in place to prevent Courier Trunks from carrying live humans.

Keys: Dieci, Charity, Ten, Tenth
Enabled · Selective · Order 1000
Entry settings
The Dieci Association is the tenth of the twelve Associations in the City. The Dieci Association specializes in the collection and research of knowledge. They also run orphanages, taking in children from the streets and raising them into joining the Association, thus earning them the nickname of "The Association of Charity". They also possess very large libraries for their Fixers to acquire more knowledge. Dieci Association Fixers fall into two major categories: the Fists and the Keys. The Fists acquire knowledge by "directly grasping with their own hands", while the Keys uses tools to study indirectly through lenses. This distinction extends to the fighting styles of the two sects: the Fists fight directly using their hands, while the Keys use their keys as weapons. The golden stoles worn by Dieci fixers convert their knowledge into strength, however, knowledge is lost when strength is drawn from it and must be regained through study. Each cardinal branch of the Dieci Association holds a 'Holy Relic', an artifact from The Ruins. These Holy Relics are the source of the Association's knowledge conversion technology. Each cardinal branch of the Dieci Association additionally houses a single 'Saint', a high-ranking member of the Association who holds an 'unfathomably grand' quantity of knowledge and are incredibly strong. The Saint is also the one responsible for protecting the Holy Relic of their respective branch. The Dieci Association also holds regular exams, testing the scope of knowledge each member holds. These function as motivators for members to increase their repository of knowledge, and exceptional performance of these is required for audiences with the Saints.

The New League began researching Mirror technology, being tasked with finding a way to destroy the Mirror Worlds. The New League utilizes Abnormalities and is able to extract E.G.O from them, making use of N Corp E.G.O equipment in combat. The Thumb is a Star of the City rated Syndicate and the first of the Five Fingers of the Backstreets, operating with a focus on adherence to hierarchy. Members of the Thumb value politeness and respect to one's superiors above all else. This means that the Thumb demands absolute compliance to hierarchy, as when dealing with the Thumb, any action that shows a lack of respect for higher authority will be immediately punished. Depending on the mistake, the consequence may extend to an offender's blameless comrades. Ultimately, the Thumb will punish anyone it deems an offender, regardless of how innocent the mistake or clueless the individual is. Members of the Thumb also need to respect outsiders, and they study the hierarchy of other factions. Thumb punishments tend to revolve around the removal of body parts. While the shape of the Thumb differs slightly depending on the quadrant of the City, members tend to dress in black, red, and gold attire. Each member's status can be gleamed from their uniform. The Thumb's weapons of choice are guns, which they make varied use of, such as fighting with bayonets or buttstocks, to cut down on bullet costs. Le Sette Famigliae are the seven families in control of the Thumb. The Thumb is considered as the most dangerous syndicate in the City by the Hana Association. "Monthly Thumb-through" issues are a Thumb controlled newspaper that spreads the words of the Thumb's power and propaganda.

The Soldato rank is divided into four sub-ranks, being Primo (I), Secondo (II), Terzo (III), and Quarto (IV or IIII). With Primo being the lowest and Quarto being the highest. 2- Capo: The Captains of Soldatos. They are able to act with more liberties. A Grade 1 Fixer is considered equivalent in rank to a Capo. Capos are divided into the same four sub-ranks as Soldatos. 3- Sottocapo: The Underbosses of the Capo dei Capi, who have permission to manage entire operations of the Syndicate. A Sottocapo is also the head of one of Seven Families of the Thumb. Top-ranking members of a Wing (such as Wing Directors) are of equivalent rank to a Sottocapo. 4- Consigliere: Acts as the Capo dei Capi's Advisor and has the right to speak freely and question them. Keys: Index, Prescripts, Will of the City, Second Finger
Enabled · Order 1600
Entry settings
The Index is a Star of the City rated Syndicate and the second of the Five Fingers of the Backstreets. Their culture centers around Prescripts, detailing written commands that range from mundane to utterly cruel and bizarre. Index Members and Backstreets citizens looking for the Index's protection must fulfill any Prescripts they get, failing means losing the protection. There is no guarantee of punishment for failing to fulfill a Prescript; rather, an Index Proxy must receive their own Prescript telling them to punish the slacker. Most Index members grow numb to the workings of the Prescripts and will carry them out without question. Those who do try to rebel against the system have little chance of maintaining their spirit in the face of the Prescripts' seemingly all-knowing nature. Altogether, members of the Index appear to have little in the realm of bonds, as it is always the Prescripts which come first. Members of the Index wear black formal attires and their signature white, gold-accented cloaks. The Prescripts assign all members above the Proselyte rank personalized swords. Proselytes wear blindfolds meant to teach them to follow the Prescripts regardless of what is happening before them, which is removed upon their promotion. Index Fabric is directly related to Prescripts and becomes stronger if a person fulfills them.

The Index's hierarchy system is comprised of a less traditional echelon. The ranks are as follows: 1- Proselyte: An initiate of the Syndicate who joined after receiving a Prescript asking them to do so. They may reject this offering if they wish. They'll be promoted to either Proxy or Messenger after showing a certain level of competence. 2- Proxy: A higher rank equivalent to a Messenger. Their Prescripts can ask for anything, but the order to punish others who have failed to carry out their Prescripts is most consistent. Index Proxies have a reputation across the City of being very faithful, fearless and persistent. 3- Messenger: A higher rank equivalent to a Proxy. The duty of receiving and delivering Prescripts to their recipients is held by them. 4- Weaver: Special members of the Index. They tend to the machines and looms that create the Prescripts. Their existence is a secret even to Index members. Weavers only exist in the Index Vaults where Prescripts are created. 5- Oracle's Proxy: A rank considered higher than Proxies. Only one Proxy may exist per Oracle, and they have a direct connection with a God/Goddess of the City. They are so strong that they're usually considered Stars of the City on their own.
- #45Prescripts
Keys: Prescript, Prescripts, Will of the City

Entry settings
As a phenomenon, Prescripts are considered a Star of the City and are the cornerstone of the Index. Prescripts commands that can be delivered through paper slips, devices, scrolls, etc. containing highly unpredictable tasks. They may be delivered at any time, through any method, after which they must be carried out by the receiver. Every Prescript is one-of-a-kind, and the time limit for their completion varies. Prescripts might ask for something as easy as waving one's hand at an intersection, as bloody as maiming another human being, or as abstract as killing a painting. Abstract Prescripts are common enough that certain members of the Index are given the authority to interpret them for the receiver. Yet even with the variety and 'randomness', the Prescripts will always benefit the Index in some way. In this way, outsmarting the Prescripts is considered impossible. Prescripts are able to predict fate, know when they have and haven't been completed, and whether Prescripts are being fabricated, all of which they will adjust their commands to accordingly. The vast majority of people, including members of the Index, have no idea how the system really works.
- #46Prescript Secret
Keys: Prescript Vaults, Prescript Secret, God of the City, Gods of the City, Hermes, Goddess of the City, Goddesses of the City
Enabled · Order 1900
Entry settings
This entry is a complete secret that only Index Weavers and Oracle Proxies know. Somewhere underneath the City's surface lies one or more massive vaults, filled with pendulums and spinning wheels. Index Weavers work here, spinning thread to be positioned beneath a pendulum. The pendulum then functions as a seismograph, vibrating according to the motions of the City citizens up above. It writes in an unreadable tongue known as the "language of the City", which requires that the Weaver take the inscribed thread and weave it into cloth using spinning wheels, therefore making the language discernible. At this point the cloth has become a real Prescript, so the Weaver completes the process by stamping the slip and sending it to the surface by slipping it into a pipe labeled with the same code as the Prescript. Given that Prescripts are created from the day-to-day of City citizens, the Prescripts of the Index are thought to be generated from the people's wish for a direction in life, following the "Will of the City" itself. For this reason, they may even be considered comparable to gods, having been born in order to fulfill the people's needs. Hermes is the God of Prescripts delivered on Devices (Radio Waves), Moirai is the Goddess of Prescripts delivered on Paper Slips.

Keys: Middle, Book of Vengeance

Entry settings
The Middle is a Star of the City rated Syndicate and the third of the Five Fingers of the Backstreets, operating with a focus on supporting one another and punishing anyone who disrespects them. Members operate on an extremely tight knit 'familial' structure, enjoying close fraternal ties with one another. Reflective of their bonds, everyone in the Middle refers to each other as their siblings. While the Middle cherishes its own members, it takes the polar opposite approach towards outsiders. Any "sin" committed against the Middle is recorded in the "Book of Vengeance" so that the perpetrator might be punished for the deed. The Middle is well-known for never letting go of unfulfilled grudges, and members may spend years chasing down its enemies. The Book of Vengeance also provides guidelines for the punishment to every conceivable crime, which range from killing a sibling to the simple act of stepping on a member's shoe. Depending on the crime, the Middle will not hesitate to annihilate everyone in the perpetrator's faction, town, or social circle. Slights between members of the Middle are generally ignored and forgiven. Members of the Middle cannot leave, lest they be hunted down themselves. There's no strict dress code among the Middle beyond blending in with other members. They tend to wear light-colored dress pants and garish shirts or coats in purple and pink tones, as well as carry around personal copies of the Book of Vengeance with them. They also wear golden chains wrapped around the forearm, shins, and neck (more chains = higher rank), which the Middle utilize in combat by using their limbs with the chains to reinforce them, and are meant to symbolize solidarity and connection between siblings. Middle members are also recognizable by their Augmented tattoos as they are allowed to get a single tattoo with each vengeance completed (more tattoos = more experience). In combat, they make use of punches and kicks which become very strong with the use of Augmented Tattoos that glow purple when in combat.

Instead, there's a natural tendency for lower-ranking members to want to impress their superiors, and higher-ranking members to dote on their subordinates. Their artwork takes a wide variety of forms, from sculptures made of corpses to massacres painted out of someone's mind. The Ring manages art galleries featuring their works and as well as very bizarre auctions. The Ring offers protection to residents of the Backstreets under its occupation, so long as the citizens are willing to create art to be evaluated. These civilians periodically submit artwork to be graded at an exam site, where Ring members refer personal judgements on a letter scale (e.g. A+, B-, F). One failing grade result in a warning, two in the loss of the Ring's protection, and three in an on-site execution. Similarly, lower-ranking members of the Ring regularly complete 'assignments' issued by higher-ups to maintain membership. Members of the Ring dress primarily in white, seeing the way it stains as a sign of the artistic process. They wear at least one ring, starting on their left hand, with the number of coils around the ring denoting their rank. There is considerable variation in the weapons members use depending on their School of Art (Pointilism, Cubism, Fauvism, Corporism). All Ring Members strive to one day create a "Magnum Opus". The Ring also has Art Academies that teach even children in its ways. The Ring uses the Corridors technology for a lot of its bases, connecting them without issues or travel. The Ring holds a Biennale every once in a while, which is a contemporary art exhibition, in which they display and auction off Artworks.

The Ring's hierarchy system features three major ranks. The ranks are as follows (low to high): 1- Student: The common Artist who both submits assignments to the Maestros for grading and grade the work of Ring-affiliated civilians. 2- Docent: A mid-rank. They instruct Students and host art galleries for Ring artworks. 3- Maestro: A high-ranking Artist who runs one of the Schools. Gives out assignments to the lower ranks and hosts Ring auctions. To become a Maestro, one must create 3 Art pieces that make them worthy of the rank.
The Ring also contains sub-sections known as "Schools". The Schools are as follows: 1- Fauvism: They make use of primary colors and complex lines, as well as animal parts. Known to wear animal masks and use animal Augmentations/Prosthetics in combat. 2- Pointillism: They make use of small strokes and dots to depict the flow of light. Known to wield paintbrush-like weapons. 3- Cubism: They incorporate abstract three-dimensionality and depth into art. 4- Corporism: They utilize the interaction between human bones and muscles, and the contraction and elongation thereof. Known to use weapons made out of human bones, flesh and muscles that are typically alive. Corporism is considered an old, dead school by most Ring members. 5- Suprematism: They're characterized by their 'pure-bloodedness'. Members of different schools are not physically divided from one another, and assignments often require them to work together, leading to frequent squabbles over which method is best.
