ℒomedy — 𝒮acrifice.

the glow of the backstage lights barely registers for lomedy, his lower lip trembling. his fingers are shaking, and he can barely breathe without heaving a slight pained sound. he did not mean for flame to know so quickly -

for flame to even find out about his plan.

he knew he was being selfish, that even if it succeeds and he gets to leave, smiling at what was his, it’d hurt flame. that it’d make flame do that thing where his eyes would widen, that thing that flame would try to tough through it.

but he doesn’t think he could survive without him.

lomedy’s eyes are wide, glimmering with unshed tears as he clutched his own hands in his lap. “i can explain, wait -” he tried desperately, voice cracking on every word, “flame. please just listen.”

he recoils when flame takes his shaking hands into his own, gaze averting to the side.
