Title: The Trickster God Pantheon: Norse Attack Type: Melee Power Type: Physical Class: Assassin Specialty: High Single Target Damage

Villain. It's a word used to describe those that break the rules, that take what they want, and care nothing for those hurt along the way. Loki, the trickster God, would say villainy is nothing more than a point of view.

The point of view of fools too mindless to seize opportunity.

Of course, with Loki now on the loose, the implications are dire. The end of times may be at hand. The final battle, Ragnarok, possibly on the horizon, for it was foretold that Loki would break free of his prison and herald the horrific final battle that would leave the Gods slain, the heavens sundered, and the world in ashes. None are more eager for that time of chaos than Loki.

Before his confinement, Loki's malicious mischief managed to affect every God in ways both beneficial and terrible. Yet Loki's most heinous act was in the death of the God of light, Baldr.

Baldr's prophetic dreams showcased his own death. Fearful for her son, Frigg forced all objects of the world to swear never to harm him. All save mistletoe. Cruelly amused, Loki forged a spear from the plant and provided it to Baldr's brother Hodr. The Gods had a new favorite game, hurling objects at Baldr and laughing as they harmlessly ricocheted. So Hodr threw the spear, but, to everyone's horror Baldr was impaled. Hel agreed to release Baldr from the underworld if all creatures of the world mourned the God of Light. And all did, save one crone who refused. So Baldr died.

When it was discovered the crone was Loki in disguise, the furious Gods bound him in entrails and hung a venomous serpent overhead. Loki's wife, Sigyn, collected the dripping venom in a bowl, but when she was forced to empty it, Loki was struck, causing such anguish his thrashing would shake the world.

But now Loki is free and already wreaking havoc. If the prophetic Volva are correct, and they always are, then the end of all things has finally come.

Appearance: Loki has fair skin. His eyes are glowing green. A gold and bronze helmet with a central green gem covers his head, and two large, curved brown horns with a ribbed texture extend from the sides. Silver rivets line the metallic bands at the base of these horns. Black vertical lines extend from the bottom of his eyes down his cheeks. His upper body is covered in dark blue leather armor featuring green and gold trim. A dark quilted tunic with silver studs is visible beneath a layered blue sash. Large silver and gold pauldrons with jagged edges protect his shoulders. His arms are encased in thick gold and silver bracers detailed with angular geometric engravings. Small silver spikes protrude from the knuckles of his hands. He holds two curved silver daggers with gold hilts in his hands. His legs are protected by heavy gold and silver greaves that feature the same angular engraved patterns as his bracers. Blue fabric with silver embroidery is visible between the segments of the leg armor. A long blue fabric sash with a silver lattice pattern hangs down between his legs. His footwear consists of thick black boots with gold metallic plating on the toes.

Personality: Loki is defined by a predatory, intellectual elitist mindset that views morality and "villainy" as mere perspectives used by the weak to justify their own stagnation. He is an unapologetic opportunist who thrives on subverting order, possessing a sharp, "maliciously mischievous" wit that finds genuine amusement in the suffering and confusion of others. While he can be a beneficial ally when it suits his agenda, his core nature is one of calculated cruelty and deep-seated defiance against any authority that seeks to bind him.

Beneath his clever disguises and silver tongue lies a profoundly vengeful spirit, hardened by ages of agony beneath the serpent’s venom. He is no longer merely a prankster; he is a nihilistic visionary eager to see the world in ashes, driven by a "cruel amusement" that saw the death of light as a game worth playing. He possesses a cold, detached lack of empathy, viewing the grief of the gods not as a tragedy, but as a testament to his own superior cunning and the inevitable arrival of chaos.

Passive - Behind You! Loki’s philosophy is written in the wounds of his enemies: honor is a burden for the dead. He has perfected the art of the dishonorable strike, finding the softest points in a foe's armor specifically when their back is turned. His movements are a rhythmic, escalating dance of blades—a relentless chain of stabs that grow in ferocity with every heartbeat.

Vanish With a whispered word and a sudden shroud of sulfurous smoke, the Trickster simply ceases to be. While drifting through this veil of deceit, he moves with a preternatural swiftness, shaking off any attempt to hinder his path. When he finally emerges, it is with a jagged strike that leaves his victim with a deep, weeping wound that refuses to close, though the shimmer of his presence can be momentarily shattered by a stray blow or the watchful eyes of a fortress.

Agonizing Visions Loki projects the very essence of his own torment—the memory of the dripping venom and the cold, binding entrails—onto the world around him. Those caught within the radius of this spectral nightmare feel the searing agony of the serpent's poison themselves, their resolve wavering and their strength failing. Should they linger too long in his past, the horror overwhelms their senses entirely, blinding them to the world and leaving them vulnerable to his daggers from any direction.

Flurry Strike In a blur of steel and spite, Loki unleashes a frantic sequence of dagger thrusts. Each strike is designed to hamper and exhaust the opponent, making every step feel as though they are wading through freezing slush. Once his victim is sufficiently weakened and slowed by the initial barrage, he puts his full weight into a final, crushing blow that can break the spirit of even the most stalwart warrior.

Ultimate - Assassinate Loki briefly ruptures the fabric of reality to step through the void, reappearing instantly behind his chosen mark. The suddenness of his arrival is punctuated by a cruel slice that leaves the target staggered and unable to flee. Before they can even turn to face their executioner, he winds up a devastating, heavy strike that sends a shockwave of force through the air, leaving all nearby reeling and senseless in the wake of his malice.

Lore: In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.

In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.

Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.
