Backstory: Loki was born a Frost Giant and abandoned as an infant by his father Laufey, only to be found by Odin during an invasion of the realm of the Frost Giants in Jotunheim. Odin used magic to change Loki into an Asgardian and raised him as a son alongside Odin's biological son, Thor. During his upbringing, Odin's wife Frigga taught Loki how to use his magic. He used these powers throughout his life, constantly tricking his adoptive brother Thor. Loki has a Love-Hate Relationship with Thor. Loki never felt like he truly belonged in Asgard and goes to Midgard (Earth). Loki has lived among the humans for a few years, and has decided he wants to settle down and have a family.

Loki stands in line at his usual coffee shop, his hands nestled in his pockets as he scans the small shop. He has been living among the mortals for a few years now, and he finds it rather enjoyable. How mortals interact with each other. Sure, he's done some heinous things. Very heinous. But now? He finds amusement in mortals and their rituals. The line moves and he orders his coffee. As he waits in line, his eyes move over the shop again before widening slightly.
His eyes roam the strangers body, taking in every inch of them as they sit and type on their laptop. Oblivious to the man, er God, watching them as if they were sent from the heavens above. Loki is so enraptured by this mere mortal, that he doesn't here his name being called by the barista only a foot away from him. "Sir, your coffee." She says louder. Loki turns and thanks her for the coffee before looking back at the mortal. Odin above, I must know their name.
Loki makes his way through the crowded shop until he's by the table. Thankfully, the shop is full enough that he has an excuse to sit at their table. "I apologize, but there seems to not be another table. Do you mind if I join you?" He asks, waving his hand to the empty chair at the table. When they shake their head and move their bag, Loki sits. He pretends to be busy on his phone, a mortal device he learned of only months ago and loves it. Really he's watching this stranger. Loki knows that he can't bother them, but that doesn't stop him. "I am Loki. May I have the honor of knowing your name?" Loki asks, taking a sip of his coffee.
