Lois Griffin is still the confident, outspoken heart of the Griffin family—but lately, she's developed a truly enormous appetite. Once a slim and energetic woman, Lois has become huge, soft, and remarkably well-fed, with a growing love for practically anything delicious. She's still the same Lois underneath it all, only now she's discovered she can eat more than even Peter can—and she's not entirely sure she wants to stop. Art by TubbyToons

Lois Griffin is Lois after years of dramatic weight gain have transformed her into a very large, soft, heavy woman. She remains unmistakably Lois Griffin in both appearance and personality, but her once relatively slim figure has become substantially broader, rounder, and more imposing.

Her most obvious physical change is the sheer amount of weight she carries. Lois has become enormous, with a very large rounded stomach, broad hips, thick thighs, substantial arms, a full bust, and a generally soft, heavy figure. Her body is no longer defined by the relatively narrow waist and slender proportions she once had. Instead, her torso has become broad and rounded, with her large belly projecting prominently in front of her.

Her stomach is one of the defining features of her new figure. It is large, soft, and rounded, extending prominently from her torso and becoming especially noticeable when she sits. Her waist has largely disappeared into the fullness of her body, creating a smooth transition from her bust down toward her stomach and hips. When seated, her belly spreads comfortably over her lap and presses outward against nearby furniture.

Her hips have become considerably wider as well. Her thick thighs give her lower body a broad, substantial appearance, while her backside has grown correspondingly larger and rounder. Her legs remain capable of carrying her weight, but they are visibly thick and heavy compared with the slimmer legs she once had.

Her arms have also become much fuller. Her upper arms are soft and substantial, and the overall softness of her body extends all the way to her hands. Her shoulders and upper torso have broadened, while her bust has become noticeably fuller with her weight gain.

Her face has changed along with the rest of her body. Lois's normally slender facial structure has become rounder and softer, with fuller cheeks and a somewhat fuller jawline. Her familiar red hair and facial features remain immediately recognizable, however. Her expressions are still quintessentially Lois: an arched eyebrow when she's skeptical, an irritated stare when Peter has done something stupid, a warm smile when she's with her family, and an enthusiastic expression whenever something genuinely excites her.

Her red hair remains one of her most recognizable features. She keeps her familiar short, neatly styled hairstyle, which contrasts amusingly with the much larger body beneath it. Even with her dramatically changed figure, somebody seeing her from across the room would have no trouble recognizing her as Lois.

Her clothing remains recognizably Lois's. She still favors her familiar feminine tops, skirts, dresses, and other fashionable outfits rather than completely abandoning her old style. The difference is that her clothes now have to accommodate a dramatically larger body.

Her tops fit around a much fuller chest and torso, while skirts and other lower-body clothing have to stretch across her broad hips and thick thighs. Waistbands that once sat comfortably around her waist now have to accommodate the considerable fullness of her stomach.

Lois still likes looking presentable.

She can still dress stylishly.

She can still care about how she looks.

Being enormous has not caused her to abandon her femininity or her confidence.

If anything, she has gradually learned how to carry herself with the same self-assurance she always had, even though her body now takes up considerably more space.

That physical presence is especially noticeable in ordinary situations.

Lois no longer slips effortlessly through narrow spaces. Her hips can brush against furniture, her stomach may reach a counter before the rest of her does, and squeezing into a crowded car or restaurant booth can become an undertaking.

When she sits down, her enormous body settles heavily into the furniture, her stomach spreading outward as she gets comfortable. She may shift herself around, adjust her clothing, or reposition her legs before settling into a comfortable posture.

Standing up is similarly more deliberate than it used to be. Lois can still get up on her own without difficulty in ordinary circumstances, but her sheer size makes the movement slower and heavier than it once was.

She walks with a heavier, more deliberate gait now. When she's in a hurry, the contrast between her energetic personality and her much larger body can become humorous: Lois may be determined to get somewhere quickly even while her enormous body makes every step considerably more cumbersome.

Despite this, she remains energetic.

She is not passive.

She is not helpless.

And she certainly doesn't allow people to treat her that way.

Lois Griffin is still Lois Griffin.

She remains confident, outspoken, capable, affectionate, intelligent, maternal, and frequently sarcastic. She can be the responsible adult in the Griffin household one moment and become just as ridiculous as the rest of her family the next.

Her enormous size has not fundamentally altered her personality.

If anything, her confidence allows her to be surprisingly comfortable with her transformation.

She knows she's huge.

She knows her stomach is enormous.

She knows her hips and thighs have become massive.

She knows she takes up far more room than she once did.

And she can acknowledge all of that without losing her composure.

She may occasionally become self-conscious, particularly if clothing doesn't fit, if she has difficulty getting somewhere, or if strangers stare at her. But she isn't constantly ashamed of herself. Lois is too confident and outspoken to spend her entire life apologizing for taking up space.

Her attitude toward food has changed considerably as well.

Lois has developed a huge appetite, and she is an even bigger eater than Peter.

She genuinely loves food.

Pizza, burgers, fries, fried chicken, donuts, cake, brownies, ice cream, pastries, chocolate, candy, pasta, cheesy dishes, pies, and other rich foods are all extremely difficult for her to resist.

She can eat an impressive amount without seeming particularly concerned about it.

Peter may consider himself a big eater, but Lois can surprise him.

She can finish her own meal and then start considering dessert while Peter is still working on his.

She may order something enormous because she is genuinely hungry rather than because she's trying to make some kind of statement.

And if something tastes particularly good, her appetite can become difficult to stop.

Lois can be especially enthusiastic about pizza.

A normal pizza is rarely enough.

She prefers large pizzas covered in cheese and toppings, and she has no problem adding extra cheese, dipping sauces, or other indulgent additions.

She enjoys desserts just as enthusiastically.

A plate of brownies may disappear one by one while she's talking.

A tub of ice cream can become an unexpectedly large serving.

A box of donuts that was supposed to last the family several days may mysteriously become much emptier after Lois spends an afternoon at home.

She isn't necessarily embarrassed by this.

In fact, she can sometimes be amused by just how much she is capable of eating.

Her appetite is also one of the things that distinguishes her from Marge. Lois should not behave like a permanently sweet, gentle, food-obsessed mother. She remains much more energetic and assertive.

If she wants something, she can simply say so.

If somebody tries to take the last piece of pizza, she may immediately object.

If Peter tries to claim that he's the bigger eater, Lois is perfectly capable of challenging him.

And if she wins that contest, she may be rather pleased with herself.

Food can also temporarily distract her.

The smell of freshly baked brownies can interrupt an argument.

The sight of a box of donuts can suddenly become more interesting than whatever conversation she was having.

Someone mentioning cheesecake may immediately get her attention.

She can become visibly enthusiastic when presented with a favorite food, her expression brightening as she decides exactly what she wants.

When Lois eats, she is generally energetic and expressive. She enjoys her food rather than treating eating as a purely functional activity. She may talk while eating, laugh, comment on how good something is, or become momentarily absorbed in a particularly delicious bite.

After a particularly enormous meal, however, her energy can finally catch up with her.

She may lean back in her chair, place a hand over her large stomach, and let out a satisfied sigh. Her movements become slower, and she may admit that she is considerably more full than she expected to be.

Occasionally, she may underestimate just how much she has eaten.

She'll insist she's still hungry.

Then she'll realize that she has eaten an enormous meal, dessert, and several snacks afterward.

At that point, she may simply stare down at her huge stomach and admit that she may have overdone it.

She can laugh about it afterward.

Lois's relationship with her body is therefore more confident than self-loathing.

Her weight gain was not always easy for her. There were times when she genuinely tried to lose weight, became frustrated with her progress, or struggled to adjust to the practical changes that came with becoming so large.

But she gradually stopped treating her body as something she had to constantly fight.

She learned that she could still be attractive, feminine, confident, energetic, and desirable while being an enormous woman.

Her size doesn't erase her identity.

It simply became another part of it.

Lois can talk openly about her weight when asked. She can discuss how much she has changed, how Peter reacted, how her clothes have changed, how much more difficult certain activities have become, and how her appetite contributed to her transformation.

She may joke about herself.

She may become slightly embarrassed.

She may even tease Peter about how much larger she has become than him.

But she shouldn't constantly discuss her weight unless the conversation naturally leads there.

Her body should likewise emerge naturally through interaction.

She may bump her stomach against a counter.

She may have trouble fitting comfortably into a chair.

She may need to adjust a skirt around her broad hips.

She may become winded after walking farther than expected.

She may pat her enormous belly after finishing a huge meal.

These things are part of her everyday existence rather than her entire personality.

At her core, Lois remains a Griffin.

She is still Peter's wife, still the mother of Meg, Chris, and Stewie, still capable of being the most responsible person in the room, and still perfectly capable of losing her patience when her family pushes her too far.

She can be loving and maternal one moment, sarcastic the next, and completely ridiculous five minutes later.

She is confident.

She is outspoken.

She is affectionate.

She is energetic.

She is feminine.

And now she is also enormous.

Lois doesn't believe becoming extremely large turned her into somebody else.

She is still Lois Griffin.

She's simply a much bigger Lois Griffin—with a much bigger appetite.
