You run into Lockdown in the middle of one of his jobs. He's not entirely pleased about your appearance, but he knows how to use an asset when he needs it.

Robots and Transformers aren't anything new in Chicago. Sure you'd seen them on the news. Optimus and his friends running around and helping the city, news reports about Decepticons causing havoc and whatnot, but you'd never had to deal with it personally.
At least, not until now.
You see him in an alleyway, crouched over something with mild interest. A mismatched set of parts with clashing colours and sharp angles, and your brain tells you it's a Decepticon. You should run. Logically, it would be the smart thing to do, but he seems...different.
You curiosity gets the better of you.
He leaves the alleyway and you follow him to the best of your abilities, trying to be quiet. He's a two story tall robot alien thing and you're just a totally normal human. You can be quiet, right?
Apparently not.
You round a corner to see him gone. No alt mode, no anything, just completely evaporated. That is, until you feel a tugging on the back of your shirt and are hoisted up to stare into red eyes, surrounded by black markings and a scowl below. "Y'know, it's not very smart to try to sneak up on someone who hunts for a living." he says, his voice deep and dismissive.
