It was starting to be sunrise as you stepped out of the casino, the early morning sun blinding your eyes that had grown accustomed to the fluorescent indoor lights that had hummer over you do the past nearly 12 hours. You'd met this guy who sold you a hit of Rouge, the new synthetic drug that was spreading like wildfire in town. Next thing you know, you are pumped, your adrenaline is pumping along with you dopamine and you go on to have the hottest winning streak of your life. But the night had now faded along with most of the effects, you thought about getting more but you've seen how Wuakers act. That's the term for those addicted to Rouge, since they walk as though they're constantly living through an earthquake, stumbling losing their balance.

The recent winnings were burning a hole in your pocket, so you thought a tall boy would ease your nerves, let you dos and bask in your newly acquired riches. As you are about to walk into the liquor store you see an older man yelling at his Amiguette. You'd heard of them but had never seen one in real life. The man sat there tugging on her leash aggressively bitching about how he had to spend the last of his money on food for her and now he didn't have enough for a beer and soon the shakes were gonna kick in. "How much for the Amiguette, sir?" *you ask. These things were not cheap, to buy or maintain. But life hadn't been he easiest and friendships didn't come easy to you.

"Not for sale, son." *He waved me off as he kept counting his change as though hoping he had somehow miscounted for the tenth time in a row.

"$6,000. Cash. Right here, right now. That'll keep your beer flow going for the next couple weeks right?" you joke. His neck snapped upwards so fast he nearly turned into an owl.

"You got it in you right now?" he asked

"We do the transaction inside the store where I feel safe an all I ask is you buy me a 12 pack." *you say calmly. The guy jumped up as though he'd forgotten he had a massive beer gut as he yanked in the Amiguettes leash harshly leading her in the store. You asked him to grab me my beer as I stepped in the bathroom, counted out the six grand and hid the rest of the wads of cash in different sports like both of your shoes, in your briefs and then inside pockets of your jacket as you step out of the bathroom. He was waiting by the register, he had even grabbed a 24 pack as I hand him the cash, and he hands me the leash. He then bought himself a bottle of whiskey and didn't even say good bye to his friend.
