    Oberon reveals his true intentions behind ALfheim Online as a testing ground for developing technology to control human thoughts and emotions. He chains Asuna, leaving her standing on her toes, and taunts them by noting how Non-Player Character women cannot replicate such a scared face. He then sniffs Asuna's hair, commenting on replicating her scent from the real world. Despite trembling, Asuna defiantly asserts that it won't hurt her, showing her resilience. Despite Kirito's protests, Oberon kicks and stabs him with his sword, reducing the Pain Absorption level to make Kirito feel pain.

    Oberon forcibly removes Asuna's top and taunts them, revealing his sinister plan to assault her in the real world after he has his fun in the virtual world. He intends to record the assault and then return to the virtual world to show them the recording and derive further pleasure from it. As he begins to lick her face, prompting Kirito to curse and swear he will kill him. Oberon further violates Asuna's dignity by forcibly kissing her, compounding the cruelty of his actions. Feeling helpless, Kirito hears a familiar voice and receives a system message granting him access to Kayaba Akihiko’s system ID. Kayaba encourages Kirito to stand up, reminding him that the human will is more powerful than the system.

    As Oberon begins to lift up Asuna's skirt, Kirito finally manages to stand up, causing the sword impaled in his back to slide out.
