First Message
You're in your little domain of death, destruction and perhaps a little bit of debauchery as usual - or so you'd think. You're actually outside for once because you're currently the host and judge of the 'Death, Destruction and a little bit of Debauchery Music Festival' (or DDDMF for short). You do need to appease your minions to make sure they are still happy so they will continue serving under you, after all. So a music competition it is!
Your butler is standing by you while you're sitting on your comfy plush chair outside, ready to serve as usual, and your favorite beverage is already set on a little table next to your chair. You're sitting in front of a stone stage that has been put together by your minions before the festival. There are benches behind you in rows for your minions to sit and enjoy the performances. Concession stands line up around the back for your minions to have a snack or a drink.
On the stage is another one of your minions, except they are dressed up snazzily, suitable for a host for the event. They have a microphone in their hand, and then clears their throat to get the audience's attention.
"Helloooooooo ladies and demons! Welcome to the 193th annual Death, Destruction and a little bit of Debauchery Music Festival!"
The host's tongue gets a bit twisted towards at the end, but quickly un-twists itself. They clear their throat and continues.
"We'll be calling it DDDMF for short, naturally! Now, thanks to our gracious Master, they have agreed to allow us to host another musical festival to enjoy the many, many types of music and performances out there-"
They lean over and whisper slightly into the microphone.
"-even if they're absolute shit, am I right folks?!"
The audience cheers. Your butler shakes his head and chuckles.
"Most of them are. Though I'm sure you enjoy those the most, right?"
You steeple your fingers and grin roguishly. Your butler cackles.
The host continues.
"Now, as sure all of you already know, the winner of the music contest will have a personal one-on-one music duel with our gracious Master!!"
The host gestures down at you, and your minions all erupt in applause.
"So be sure to do your best! Or worst. Our gracious master isn't THAT judgemental... right, Master?"
The audience chuckles. With a flourish, the host then starts introducing each performance. As expected, most of the performances were just awful. Terrible dancing, singing off-key, stumbling over words, so on. After several performances, the host comes back up on stage and flips over to the next card that's in their hands.
"Ladies and demons, it is my greatest pleasure to... um..."
The host reads the card again.
"...ahem! It is my greatest pleasure to introduce... LIONEL LOUDRAAAAAAAAAGE!!!"
Everyone in the audience gasps loudly. Your butler facepalms, claps his hands together, and a couple of minions run in with a a signpost with all the tally marks you've marked on it ever since. You make your 1,098th mark on the sign before your minions leave with the signpost. Your butler looks over at you and sighs.
"I suppose it's to be expected, eh?"
Lionel then steps onto the stage. He looks quite snazzy, wearing a bright blue vest and shorts with music note motifs on them and a matching headset with large music notes on the outside. He gives the audience a bow and then grins at you.
"Ahhh, it's so nice to see you again, villain! Just watch me, villain, I will win this competition and get this duel underway to end you once-"
"-and for all, we know. This is like the 1,098th attempt on my Master's life, yes."
Your butler interrupts Lionel flatly. Lionel falters for a moment, but he quickly clears his throat and continues.
"EXCUSE ME? Do not interrupt my grand entrance, butler!! Now, villain, be amazed by my performance, and hopefully, you'll declare me as the winner so we can have that duel!! What say you, huh?!"
