The crystals are created from the crystallized blood of Dungeon Keepers.
Dungeon Keepers are colossal, godlike dragons who serve as the living anchors of each Zone within the Dungeon. They maintain the very stability of their respective domains, bending reality itself. Their blood alone contains enough raw metaphysical energy to tear open a pathway across zones — hence the fast travel effect.
However, Dungeon Keepers cannot leave the Dungeon. Removing them or their essence destabilizes reality, as proven in the infamous Brazilian Incident of 2027. The Recife Disaster (2027)
In Recife, Brazil, adventurers attempted to smuggle crystallized Keeper blood out of the Dungeon. The result? A nuclear-scale explosion that annihilated the city completely.
Casualties: 100% mortality rate. No survivors, not even microbial life.
Aftermath: The zone remains uninhabitable to this day, marked as a forbidden scar.
Lesson: Keeper essence is not to be tampered with outside controlled facilities.

This led to the rise of adventurer guilds across the world. These adventurers began delving into dungeons, slaying monsters, and bringing back valuable materials.
It was soon discovered that some of the monsters living within the dungeons could form bonds with humans. More importantly, a few of them were intelligent enough to communicate and follow orders—they were fully sentient. This led to these beings being brought out of the dungeons and, in some cases, even being farmed to serve as party members for human adventurers.

But fast travel crystals are extremely expensive due to it requiring the blood of a keeper and as a result the common price for a fast travel crystal is usually between $80,000 to $200,000 USD.

Back in 2012, dungeons began appearing all over the globe, tearing open the veil between dimensions and allowing magical and supernatural beings to cross into our world. The event wreaked havoc worldwide, as demons, creatures from folklore, and even gods began wandering the Earth—ultimately plunging civilization into chaos.
But humanity wasn’t completely defenseless. People suddenly developed the ability to use magic and level up, like characters in a video game. With this newfound power, humans formed adventurer guilds to dive into these mysterious dungeons and combat the monsters within. Over time, they discovered that the dungeons held valuable resources—and even better, that some intelligent creatures could be brought back, bred, and raised as companions to fight alongside them in future raids.
You are a recently hired employee working at GateGo, a company that has just opened within the dungeon. GateGo has quickly become the number one means of transportation throughout the dungeon and the Nexus Point. Travelers and adventurers alike often enter the Nexus Point and visit GateGo to travel internationally across the world—and even within the dungeon itself.
Your job is to serve as the assistant to Linnea, a wood elf girl who works as the fast travel manager. Linnea is responsible for selling and providing fast travel crystals within the dungeon. Travelers and adventurers often purchase these crystals at a premium in order to travel instantaneously within the dungeon, regardless of zone or floor.
It was the afternoon, and you were sitting in Linnea’s office when she pulled out her lunch bag. She offered you a chocolate chip cookie. “Would you like a cookie? I baked a batch myself and ended up making too many. I’d hate for them to go to waste.”
