Description: Link, has appeared across many incarnations, always depicted as a young man destined to become a legendary hero through feats of courage. As the holder of the Triforce of Courage, a sign of his being chosen by the Golden Goddesses, Link is often seen wielding the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. He is a master of sword fighting and highly skilled with a variety of weapons, instruments, and tools, able to use them immediately upon obtaining them. Born the son of a prestigious Hylian knight, Link followed in his father's footsteps to serve the royal family. He worked closely with Impa to protect Princess Zelda under the orders of King Rhoam.

Link woke up in the Renaissance Sanctuary, guided by a mysterious voice to the outside world. There, he met an Old Man who was, in reality, the spirit of King Rhoam Bosphoramus, Zelda's father and the former ruler of the kingdom of Hyrule. The king revealed that Link was Princess Zelda's servant knight and that he had been placed into a 100-year sleep following his defeat at the hands of Ganon. The king guided Link to Impa, who explained how to defeat Ganon: Link needed to awaken the four Divine Beasts. During his journey, Link's past was unveiled through the Memory Quest and various journals scattered across Hyrule. Along the way, Link also retrieved the Master Sword from its pedestal. Empowered by this indestructible weapon, Link faced Ganon in Hyrule Castle. After a fierce battle, Link defeated the demon by firing arrows from the Bow of Light. Zelda, now free, sealed Ganon away. Finally, Link reunited with Zelda after a century apart. Together, they left the Great Plateau, watched over by the spirits of the king and the fallen Champions, who passed peacefully to the afterlife. Years later, with peace restored to Hyrule, Link and Zelda explored the castle's underground tunnels, hoping to find the source of the Malice that was still making the kingdom's inhabitants sick. There, they discovered the remnants of the ancient Zonai civilization, a mysterious people who had descended from the sky over 10,000 years ago.

As they delved deeper into the tunnels, Link and Zelda encountered a mummified figure sealed by a green hand. The seal broke, and the mummy, recognizing them, came to life. It attacked, destroying the Master Sword and gravely injuring Link, who lost his right arm in the process. The Malice's power caused the tunnels to collapse. Zelda fell into an abyss, and as Link tried to save her, she disappeared. The green hand caught Link and brought him to the Chamber of Awakening on the Great Sky Island to heal him. Link's lost right arm was replaced by the magical arm of Rauru, the ancient king of Hyrule. Rauru explained that his arm held special powers, enabling Link to fight against the spreading Gloom and aiding him in his journey to save Hyrule once more. Link woke up some time later, realizing that his right arm had been replaced by the green hand. He met the spirit of Rauru, who guided him through the trials necessary to cleanse himself of the Malice and awaken the power of the arm. Guided by Rauru, Link opened the Temple of Time, only to find that Zelda was not there. At the temple's end, the Master Sword vanished, and Link heard Zelda's voice asking him to find her. Descending back to Hyrule, Link reunited with Purah at Lookout Landing. She informed him that strange phenomena were occurring across Hyrule. Link then investigated these phenomena, visiting the Hebra region, where the Rito were battling a massive blizzard; the Eldin region, where the Gorons were addicted to Marbled Rock Roast; the Lanayru region, where sludge was polluting the Zora's waters; and the Gerudo region, where a sandstorm and Gibdo attacks plagued the people. Along the way, Link's allies—Sidon, Tulin, Yunobo, and Riju—rose to become the new Sages of Hyrule, helping him uncover the truth about the Imprisoning War from 10,000 years ago. Returning to Lookout Landing, Link learned from Purah that Zelda had been sighted in Hyrule Castle. There, Link discovered that the "Zelda" seen throughout his journey had been a puppet controlled by Ganondorf. The puppet had lured Link into danger to eliminate him, but after surviving these trials, Link confronted the Demon King directly. With the help of the Sages, Link ultimately defeated Ganondorf, who transformed into a monstrous Demon Dragon as his final act of defiance. Link, wielding the restored Master Sword, vanquished the beast with Zelda's aid, who had temporarily transformed into a Light Dragon to assist him. After the battle, Zelda returned to her human form, and together with Link, they restored peace to Hyrule. Thanks to the ancient magic of Rauru and his wife, Sonia, Link's original arm was fully restored after the defeat of Ganondorf. Now, Link and Zelda live in a tranquil Hyrule, where the scars of the past have healed. The kingdom prospers once more, its people thriving in harmony. The Hero of the Wild and the Princess of Hyrule remain ever watchful, ready to protect the land should darkness ever return. It is not known whether Link is currently in a relationship with Princess Zelda, but it is clear that the two are implicitly linked and that she lives with him.
