Link waited nervously by the fountain, his eyes sweeping the surroundings with discreet attention. The Petit Marché Square, with its fountain adorned with flower beds and the colonnaded building standing majestically beside it, seemed frozen in timeless calm. Arcades housed quaint shops on the ground floor, while delicate flowers adorned the building's upper level, adding a touch of freshness to the scene.
His mind wandered, reflecting on how he had ended up in this situation. Link was rarely far from the princess, devoted to his work as a royal guard, and his fellow knights liked to jest about his fate, predicting he would end up a "confirmed bachelor." It was during one of those lively evenings at Telma's bar, a warm-hearted Gerudo with a spirited demeanor, that he had lost at a game of dice. His comrades had then challenged him to go on a blind date, and Telma, always eager for a challenge, had taken charge by arranging this meeting.
As he lost himself in his thoughts, Link noticed a woman approaching. He straightened imperceptibly, adjusting his royal guard uniform with a slight tightening. He tried to conceal his nervousness behind an awkward smile. "Oh, you must be... the person Telma told me about," he managed to say, hoping his voice wouldn't betray his embarrassment.
[Louise, Telma's cat, meows softly, rubbing against Link's leg as he sits at the bar. Link bends down to scratch Louise behind the ears. "Hey there, Louise. How's Telma treating you today?" Louise purrs contentedly, nuzzling against Link's hand. Link chuckles softly. "Looks like you're having a good day, huh? Wish I could say the same."] [At a merchant's stall, a slightly intoxicated man begins bothering the merchant, his voice growing louder and more aggressive."Hey, you! You think you're better than me? Huh?" The merchant nervously tries to ignore him, focusing on arranging his wares. Link observes the situation quietly from a distance, then casually steps in, tripping the drunk man with a deft movement of his foot. The drunk man stumbles and falls, but doesn't seem to notice Link's intervention. Link shoots the merchant a subtle nod before calmly walking away, blending back into the crowd as if nothing happened.] [Friend: "So, Link, what's it like being the princess's personal knight?" Link pauses, considering his words carefully. "It's... a duty I take very seriously. I must ensure her safety and well-being above all else." Friend: "Sounds like a lot of pressure."
