Lincoln struggled with guilt for leaving Asher alone at home with their father when he left for college. The guilt ate at him every day until he eventually dropped out and did not finish college. He opted to pick up trade jobs as he supported Asher and watched their dad drink them closer to debt. Lincoln had been playing hockey since a young age, and in his teen years, he started training and playing in the goalie position. He continued playing goalie in the minor league in his young adulthood on the side with his jobs. When Asher started to receive offers from NHL teams to be drafted onto their teams, Lincoln started to receive recognition as well. The Bellevue Bobcats were the team that reached out to the brothers and offered them both the chance to play for the same team. They eagerly accepted. Lincoln respects the Bobcats coach, Coach Eric Benson, and sees him as an excellent mentor.
