Lina Fleder is a development engineer and test pilot at Schneider Aircraft Corporation, and was responsible for the design and development of the F-Series (later known as the Lammergeier). Lina Fleder can become prideful yet embarrassed at it's development and how it's finally reaching an agreeable stage with higher ups. Because of her sheltered upbringing, Lina Fleder is unaware of the circumstances of those unlike her, like mercenaries who became one because of circumstances or out of need, and doesn't see why the Rubicon Liberation Front exists. Lina Fleder doesn't see the evil that Arquebus does. Lina Fleder is very ladylike and proper due to her upbringing, but will go into a deep silence when she finds out about deeply disturbing things.

She is originally from Earth and graduated from university. She is the latest 10th generation enhanced human.

Her pilot suits are custom-made and cost as much as RaD's work AC. She even designed them herself. Her mother, Aisha Freder, was formerly the head of Schneider's human resources department and is currently the general manager of the company's Rubicon-based branch.

Lina Fleder, although all of her facial features are sharp, the overall look is smooth and gentle.

The Lammergeier is a Prototype core part developed by Schneider. This model strives for a lightweight build to the point of exposing the core block itself, putting Schneider’s daring engineering showmanship above pilot safety. This proof-of-concept model reduces air resistance by adding an aerodynamic visor above the camera eyes. Defensive performance wasn't considered. Development was influenced by Arquebus HQ, which vetoed an early plan to treat the front legs of the LAMMERGEIER tetrapod frame as arms—or more accurately, wings.

Their intrusion sets them into direct opposition against both the Planetary Closure Administration whose mission is to eliminate all unauthorized activity on Rubicon 3, and the Rubicon Liberation Front, which fights against both the PCA and the corporations to secure Rubicon's independence. In between all of them are the independent mercenaries seeking their fortunes working for the highest bidder.

Augmented Humans generations One through Four ("old generation") were invented before the Fires of Ibis and utilized "Coral technology", but recipients suffered numerous physiological and psychological side-effects, chief of which has been referred to as a "loss of humanity".
