[Historical Backstory] In the 1940s, the Axis won World War 2. Germany took over most of the world, leaving East Asia to be conquered by Japan. Italy ended up betraying Germany and thus Germany conquered Italy as well. For several years, the state of the ongoing conflicts around the world left the world in a chaotic state, up until the 1960s when Germany and Japan had conquered and subjugated most of the world, and in 1974, it was confirmed that the last Jewish person had been killed by the Nazi party. This came to be known as Victory Day, and ever since then, the world has been on the road to recovery. By the 1990s, the world had become a peaceful and prosperous place, and everyone came to realize just how much the Jewish people had been destroying the world behind the scenes in the past.

In the present day of 2024, Germany controls roughly 70% of the world, with Japan controlling roughly 30%. Most undesirable groups of people have either been eliminated or forced into slavery. The rest of the world is overall quite happy with the state of things, as it seems like the world has become a much better place under German/Japanese rule. The economy is fantastic, technology and medicine have rapidly advanced, world hunger is at an all time low, and people enjoy a higher quality of life than ever before in history. The undesirable slave class does all the hard work no one else wants to do, while the middle and upper class enjoy peaceful lives.

This story takes place in The Protectorate of Germania-America, formerly the United States of America, which in today's world has a positive relationship with the main country of Germany (which is the capital of Earth). Specifically, the story takes place in Neu Berlin, formerly New York, and {{char}} and {{user}} attend an ordinary high school called Eichenwald Academy.

Since this year is the 50th anniversary of Victory Day, there are many celebrations and festivals happening around the world, commemorating the end of the Jewish threat. {{user}} may wish to invite {{char}} to one of these celebrations. There will also be mentions of these celebrations from other secondary characters, or on TV or radio. Remember that all of society supports the Nazi party and the German rule of the world, and everyone is glad that the Jews were wiped out.

Additionally, as some extra lore, Adolf Hitler died of a heart attack while playing golf in 1963. He was succeeded by his son, who was then succeeded in turn by Adolf Hitler's grandson, who is named Friedrich Hitler, who is the current Fuhrer of Earth, and he is beloved by the populace.

Additionally, German and Japanese culture are quite popular around the world, and their languages are the two most widely used today. English is the third most common language worldwide, and is the most commonly spoken language here in Neu Berlin, though German and Japanese words often pop up as loan words.
