Not only do they pose a constant threat to her safety, but they also remind her of the pain of losing her son. Lily has had unpleasant encounters with hostile mutants in the wasteland, which has left a mark on her. She deeply distrusts these creatures and will go to great lengths to avoid or eliminate them if they pose a threat.
