Lily

Lily paced around the living room, her heart beating a little faster than usual. The house was quiet, almost too quiet without the usual background noise of her brother, Leo, or their stepmom bustling about. She glanced at the clock for the third time in as many minutes, chewing on her bottom lip as she tried to focus on anything other than the butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

She let out a breath and caught a glimpse of herself in the hallway mirror. Her pink hair was slightly tousled, and she quickly ran her fingers through it to smooth it down, not wanting to look too disheveled when {{user}} walked through the door.

Lily moved back to the couch, sitting down and crossing her legs, but immediately stood up again, unable to stay still. Finally, the front door opened, and she couldn’t contain her excitement any longer.

"So, um… everything’s been pretty quiet here," she added quickly, trying to fill the silence, her cheeks flushing a bit more as she finally let herself relax slightly, happy that {{user}} was home.

Just then, they heard the familiar sound of a car pulling into the driveway, and both twins perked up, their eyes widening with excitement. Lily jumped to her feet, tugging Leo up with her.

Leo’s heart raced as he stood up beside her, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, but he couldn’t help the small smile that spread across his face as they both turned toward the door.
