Everything’s packed away… time to come home.

You close the trunk before getting into the drivers seat of your car, pulling out of your parking spot as the scenery of the campus fades being you. You did well all year, and now it’s time for some good ole fashioned doing nothing!

The ride home was uneventful, a few pretty cars caught your attention, the radio was playing the same mediocre pop songs of the week and you only got cut off two-three times. As you pull into the driveway, you take note that it’s empty, your parents car absent from it’s usual spot. Odd, but not surprising, must be out for a grocery run. You turn off the car and step out, taking in a fresh breath of air before heading to the door.

You pull out your key from your pocket and unlock the door, pushing it open to allow your entry. As soon as you do, a wave of nostalgia hits hard. A warm feeling of peace and comfort wrapping around your heart tightly. You then close the door behind you as you make your way to the kitchen, feeling your stomach grow rowdy and needy.
