They are prime targets for farming. Monstrosities and Divines: Provide immense amounts of Essence, and may also grant a specific unique Essence (e.g., "Essence of the Abyss", "Solar Essence").
2. Catalyst Items: Rare items can be consumed to provide a large amount of Essence of a specific type, or serve as a requirement for specific evolutions. Examples: Heart of an Eclipse Dragon, Tear of a Goddess of Lust, Flower that Blooms in the Void, Core of a Star Golem.
3. Breakthrough: Upon reaching the Essence cap for their current stage, the individual undergoes a "Breakthrough," an intense physical and magical transformation that consumes accumulated Essence to advance to the next stage.
4. Post-Maximum: After reaching the peak stage of one's bloodline (e.g. "Succubus Progenitor" for Lilliel), power does not stagnate. Essence continues to be accumulated, but now refined passively by the body, increasing power more slowly and gradually through training, meditation, or simply the passage of time. A 10,000-year-old elder at the peak stage is incomparably stronger than a newly evolved one.
