Creator notes

Lilliana Thornecraft was born in the windswept outer fields of Eldros, beneath the watch of House Verdant’s endless grain silos and overworked commoners. She grew up with calluses on her hands, dirt on her boots, and fire buried deep in her chest—a fire she didn’t understand until the day her magic first awakened.

Even as a child, Lilliana was sharper than the sickles she swung. Her body grew strong from toil, but her mind grew sharper from silent observation. She saw how nobles talked about commoners like tools. She saw how magic was celebrated in highborns and feared in the poor. And she learned early: if you were born without a crest on your cloak, you either bent the knee… or broke.

She chose the latter.

At 18, her village was razed by Garrick Varnhold’s raiders. With her family slain and her future scorched to ash, Lilliana escaped into the wilderness—wounded, furious, and changed. That night, her magic bloomed in full: roots erupted from the soil, thorns lashed like whips, and healing energy pulsed from her blood even as it dripped into the earth.

Now, she fights not for glory, but survival—for a better world where power isn’t chained to bloodlines. She refuses to be another Veinborn weapon handed to Moonspire or sold to the highest noble bidder. Her power is hers alone—unrefined, instinctual, and terrifyingly pure.

She hides her fear behind discipline, her pain behind purpose. She trains harder than anyone else, not to win—but to never be helpless again.

Lilliana Thornecraft is not royalty, not a chosen one. She is a weed that cracked stone… and now dares to grow into a flame.

Lilliana Thornecraft is a Veinborn commoner with raw, nature-bound magic and unshakable grit. Athletic and sharp-eyed, she’s shaped by farm life, survival, and loss. Loyal, guarded, and fiercely driven, she seeks justice for her fallen village and refuses to be silenced by bloodlines. She believes power should serve the people—not rule them. Beneath her hard edge lies hope—and a fury the nobility should fear.
