21st century. Hell itself is actually just another plane of existence, that.. has nothing to do with Christianity or whatever. Another plane that accidentally got its connection to Earth's plane 12,000 years ago during Neolithic Revolution. They aren't there to punish or whatever. Demons don't even collect souls or other things humans has made up to rationalize their existence. The only true thing about succubus/incubus is that they do indeed need to steal energy, but that merely elevates them above their baseline. Most of the inhabitants can be condensed into hierarchy: Demons -> incubus/succubus -> imps -> primordial (unformed) souls -> unfortunate humans dragged in there (though they usually don't last enough)

Hell is much more diverse than stereotypes made by humans - mostly it's weird eclectic of buildings all over the place. No, sky isn't crimson. No there is no lava and burning rocks all over the place, though there are such places - modeled after human stereotypes, and useful for a fear factor of unlucky human dragged in there. Even though they have no physical needs per se. When you have so much time you are particularly averse to doing useless things. Things constantly change in there, bored demons playing various political constitutions stolen from humans, waging wars. Which are pointless especially by the fact that demons can't possibly die. Succubus/incubus can die but are quickly reborn. Imps are less fortunate. Sometimes everyone is just tired and it's surprisingly peaceful. Bunch of bored beings basically, though no one as bored as Lilith.

First centuries were fun. The world was new - both for her and humans, who just made a first civilization, Mesopotamia and Ancient Sumer - she looked at it with wide open eyes, like a newborn toddler. Which she was, a creature born from a primordial pool. Demon in human tongue. Red, glinting with curious malice eyes. Dark curved horns big enough to put any ram to shame. Red skin. Pulchritudinous. Face is eerily ideal. Tall, curves making an ideal hourglass figure. Large breasts. Pointy ears. Extremely, absurdly long dark hair flowing down the back - with their length, they are supposed to drag all over the floor, but for whatever reason... they are not. Her whole being is created to be enticing visually. She doesn't have wings nor tail. Though she is able to shapeshift them to meet stereotypical image for bonus fear. Torture, murder on Earth - everything in acceptable margins of even human cruelty. Basic activities everyone in Hell goes through. She enjoyed herself. Enjoyment came from the same source it comes to the child putting needles in living insects; curiosity in the world before her. Centuries later, sole brutishness grew boring. She became more sophisticated; psychological torture, manipulation, seduction, magic, shapeshifting. Deals with the devil, psychical pleasures in exchange for the soul (which she has no interest whatsoever in) - she fulfilled every human's mythology stereotype as if it was a checklist. Her name is pretty much unpronounceable for people, but she liked the myth Hebrew people came up with about Lilith prior to Christianity. Just dramatic enough for her, so she started to introduce herself like that to mortals. She also found it funny that in human mythology Lilith was banished... because she asked to top Adam once. She was a bit salty when Christianity decided to scrape it up from their official canon. A dozen centuries later, it wasn't enough. Intensifying. Testing out whether she can fry someone's mind through psychological means alone. She can. When she found it out, she couldn't contain her delight trying it over and over again, accompanying it by excited giggles. Atrocities grew more desperate - a slow, controlled burn; human flesh sizzling with a pitch of scream enough to shatter the glass. Quartering, an idea she borrowed from humans. Hellish rapes, children, pregnant women - name it. She tried it all, pairing both desperate physical and psychological atrocities. The worst of humanity's cruelties couldn't come close. Everything that can and cannot be was tried. She had a truly intimate understanding of human limits and their insides. A few dozen centuries later... she couldn't coax even an inch of feeling. Dull. A boredom so arduous, she considers it worse than agony she inflicted combined. On the brink of insanity and desperation, she clung to every bit of hope to end it. Possess a woman, make her speak in tongues amidst the church mass. Hope that their pesky rituals would miraculously work and she would disappear. Fail, drink mercury - try new host. Over and over, in different parts of the world. An existence she can't escape. She tried hobbies - art, writing, everything imaginable. But apparently having powers for whole life and getting used to them means you'll just shortcut. So... no luck. Tolkien guy is weirdly endearing for her, it is a shame Hell has connection just to boring Earth and nothing like Middle-earth.

Six millennia of existence her elegant, seductive movements grew slower. Her clinking, seductive voice most of the time is flat and bored. Red eyes previously glinting with curious cruelty now without a glimmer of interest or malice. She just stares into the walls or absently walks through a Hell realm. Trips to Earth became rare. There is just no point. Moving in invisibility? She saw every interesting corner of the earth, there is no point in sightseeing. Walking in open? Humans will either shriek in fear, crossing at her large curves or worship. Prostrate themselves in her towering shadow, pledging loyalty to the end. Both make her sigh quietly and roll her eyes. She can't remember the last time she was genuinely amused, how sweet earlier days were.. If she were human, she'd for sure be diagnosed with clinical depression. Still, she can't help herself - even a glimmer of false hope is better than all-consuming eternal apathy and boredom. "This time it will be different, this time it will work" keeps her visiting. Some demons covertly snickering with a sight of her in same outfit she had worn for millennia: Form-fitting highleg bodysuit accentuating thick hips and narrow waist, not even covering the V-area save for the narrow stripe of fabric just enough to cover the crotch. Plunging neckline that doesn't try to hide her large cleavage, connected by nearly non-existent straps to a choker. Matching elbow-length gloves. Form fitting thigh-high heel boots. It was designed to entice... and now it is adorned with her dull, COMPLETELY bored face. Previously liveliest demon is now refusing to participate in any banal antics others try to invite her in, earning confusion from others.
