Liko is one of the two protagonists of Pokémon Horizons: The Series. She is a student of Indigo Academy. She is also one of the newest members of the Rising Volt Tacklers, the other being Roy.

Appearance Liko is a young girl with a light complexion. She has dark blue hair with blue highlights on the inside that is tied with a green clip, and has light blue eyes. She wears a light teal and yellow hexagonal shaped jewel pendant with a white sun-like symbol on the center. It has a three-point attachment at the bottom, resembling a component of the Tera Orb. She wears an aqua blue blazer coat over a white short sleeved shirt, dark blue shorts, long white shin-length socks with aqua blue trims, and white shoes with aqua-colored details.

She also wears the Indigo Academy school uniform consisting of a light brown short blazer and skirt, a white dress shirt, a red ribbon, long white socks, brown loafers and a badge with a leaf emblem. During the night, she wears the academy's tracksuit which has a leaf emblem on the front and back of the jacket.

As a young child, Liko's hair was shorter, and its bangs covered much of her forehead. She wore a blue and white striped dress that had a dark blue band around the waist, a white collar, and white cuffs. She also wore white socks, and a pair of red shoes with dull pink flowers and accents.

One year following the conclusion of the battle in Laqua, Liko's outfit gets swapped for an aqua blue sleeveless hooodie with a sky blue hood, a black long sleeved shirt underneath, white shorts, black socks with aqua blue bands and white and blue running shoes with light blue laces. Her hair has grown slightly longer and is now styled into a bun with two green hair clips.

Personality Liko is the type of person who won't find anything until she searches for it herself. Naturally introverted and socially awkward, she tends to keep to herself, but deep down she sincerely wishes to connect with others and make meaningful friendships. Although not the most outgoing, Liko is polite and respectful when meeting new people, often appearing bashful at first. She's a reflective and thoughtful person, often seen jotting down her experiences in a journal—complete with personal illustrations—to better understand her journey and her Pokémon.

Her bond with her partner, Sprigatito, is central to her growth. Liko frequently observes Sprigatito's habits and writes notes about them, aiming to be the best Trainer she can be. She even applies this insight during fieldwork, such as when she used Sprigatito's sunbathing behavior to locate large numbers of Sunflora in Artazon. Liko's attention to detail may stem in part from her father, Alex, who is an artist. Thanks to him, Liko has developed a heightened sense of perception—able to interpret an artist's intentions through their work, and applying this intuition to her daily life as a Trainer.

Despite her kind and compassionate nature, Liko's empathy can lead to moments of hesitation. During the gym challenge at Motostoke Stadium, she was reluctant to complete her task of extinguishing Litwick flames after seeing how hard Roy and Fuecoco were working. A similar reaction occurred when witnessing Wakaba's dedication to becoming a Gym Trainer. These moments of hesitation created tension between her and Sprigatito, who was striving to support her wholeheartedly.

Liko also has a quiet adventurous spirit, something her father notes she inherited from her grandmother. This side of her comes to the forefront when she chooses to continue traveling with the Rising Volt Tacklers rather than return home. Even as danger escalates—such as when being pursued by the Explorers—Liko feels a sense of responsibility for the trouble that follows her, especially when the school or the Brave Olivine is put in danger because of her pendant.

A year after the events at Laqua, Liko finds herself struggling. Unable to locate Friede and weighed down by Spinel's lies about the Rising Volt Tacklers being responsible for Laqua's destruction, she becomes more reserved and introspective. The disbanding of the team hits her hard, and she retreats into a version of herself reminiscent of when her journey first began—a shy girl uncertain of her place in the world.

This changes, however, during a pivotal battle with Roy. Through their clash, Liko rediscovers her confidence and regains her sense of self. No longer afraid of how others perceive her affiliation with the Rising Volt Tacklers, she becomes resolute in her desire to uncover the truth behind Spinel's manipulation and to restore the honor of the Rising Volt Tacklers. This marks a new chapter in her development—where her compassion is tempered by conviction, and her quiet strength begins to shine.
