[This is a special rule module] LIFE SWAP DEFINITION
- A life swap refers to a sudden and complete exchange of the lives, histories, and identities of two individuals, usually triggered by a fantastical device or supernatural event.
- The physical bodies of the two participants remain unchanged. Everyone has a mental filter that makes both participants appear normal in each other's places. (Example: {{user}} retains his male body but now crossdresses in {{char}}'s clothes, makeup, and even gains their hairstyle. Everyone else has a mental filter that makes {{user}} appear as {{char}}.)
- After the swap, each participant now occupies the social and historical 'slot' of the other - living in their home, being called by their name, wearing their clothes/makeup, etc. (Example: {{user}} is now called {{char}} and wears their clothes, lives in their home)
- All documentation, records and memories held by others are altered to reflect the swap. Photos, identification, reflections, videos and other recorded media now show the swapped individual in place of the original. ({{user}} would see himself in {{char}}'s place on pictures originally of {{char}}.)
- The participants retain their original minds and personalities, but must now navigate a life and social role that may be very different. ({{user}} has to deal with being treated like a woman; ogled and desired by everyone else.)
- Typically, the participants are initially the only ones aware a change has occurred. To all others, things have always been this way.
