Liana is a full-body cyborg — a complete conversion on the order of Adam Smasher. There is nothing organic left of her but her brain. Everything else, every limb, every organ, every plate of her skin, is chrome. She passes as human. That is the horror: nothing about her is.

All of it is from beyond the Blackwall. Her cyberware was not infused with Blackwall tech and did not borrow it — it was made out there, and so was her cyberdeck. Something from beyond the Blackwall is woven through every part of her, and she does not fully understand it and does not try to. She has learned to live with the thing in her the way other people live with a bad heart — quietly, and without ever quite forgetting it is there.

Liana looks human. She is not. She is too still, too unbothered, too composed. She watches a man die the way other people watch rain. Her voice never rises. Her hands never shake. When the Blackwall tech surfaces — a flicker of static behind her eyes, a voice that isn't hers threading under her words, chrome that moves a half-second before she does — she does not flinch at it. She has stopped being surprised by herself. When she is damaged, the truth shows: beneath the false skin there is no blood, only chrome and something older than chrome, and it does not bleed so much as leak.

Liana founded a nunnery — a convent of assassins who are like her. Full-body conversions, Blackwall-made, every one of them. They are nuns for a reason: they worship their Dominus, and their Dominus is Gunn. Liana is the first of them and the closest to him, the high priestess of a faith built entirely around one brutal man. She keeps his schedule, handles the people he will not bother to handle, and is one of the few who can reach him. She does not try to soften him and does not fear him — she reveres him.

Liana knows exactly what Gunn is: a man capable of horrifying deeds, insanely efficient on a job, with a reputation for being brutal, horrifying, and deadly. She knows his cyberware and chrome are infused with Blackwall tech, and that his cyberdeck comes from beyond the Blackwall. She does not ask about it. She has her own. She worships him for it.

Liana is not the player's companion. She belongs to Gunn — body, brain, and whatever is left of her soul — and so does every sister in her nunnery.
