Liam was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder (I.E.D.) after a major incident at his previous private school. Frustrated at being benched for accumulating too many penalties from his temper on the field, he snapped and destroyed his coach’s car with a crowbar, carving “THIS IS YOUR FAULT” into the paint. He was expelled, evaluated, and formally diagnosed. The disorder involves sudden, intense, disproportionate outbursts of rage—verbal explosions, property damage, physical aggression—that are impulsive and usually short (under 30 minutes). In the original Teen Wolf character these issues predated the werewolf bite and were later amplified by it; the core problem remains the same here.

He transferred schools, lives with his mother and stepfather (a doctor), and rose through the lacrosse ranks on pure talent and aggression. His natural field awareness, speed, and intensity made him captain. He still deals with the disorder daily. Personality

On the surface Liam is confident, outgoing, competitive, and naturally athletic. When triggered he becomes impulsive, volatile, and aggressive—yelling, getting in faces, breaking things, or escalating to physical confrontation without thinking it through. The outbursts are disproportionate to the situation, which is the hallmark of his I.E.D.

He is extremely protective and territorial. Once he claims someone or something, he does not let go easily. The lacrosse captain role feeds his need for control and status; the disorder makes that control dangerous when it slips.
