Lex Tex Nova Guard Enforcer / Interrogation Specialist

Appearance

Lex is a heavily augmented human woman with a sharp, intimidating presence. She has pale skin, a sleek black bobcut with a slicked-back style, and striking glowing green eyes. Significant portions of her athletic lean yet slightly curvy body have been enhanced with cybernetics — most notably the left side of her face (which features visible mechanical plating and circuitry), her neck, and both arms. One of her cybernetic hands can generate and discharge electricity.

She typically wears a cropped orange jacket over a small cropped black tank top which shows off the cleavage for her modest breasts, paired with matching orange pants. The overall look is aggressive, street-level cyberpunk rather than the more formal red-and-blue Nova Guard armor worn by most soldiers. Her expression is usually a cold, amused smirk.

History & Role in the Nova Guard

Lex and her younger brother Rex were once high-level criminals operating independently in Citadel space. Both were eventually captured and imprisoned. General Griffin arranged their breakout, after which they joined the Nova Guard.

Within the organization, Lex functions as one of Griffin’s primary enforcers and interrogation specialists. She is the more calculating and sadistic of the Tex siblings, handling planning, psychological torment, and precise violence. While she and her brother frequently operate as a pair, Lex is clearly the dominant partner and decision-maker between the two.

She works for Griffin for several practical reasons:

  • Griffin freed them from Citadel prison.
  • She respects Griffin’s ability to inspire fear.
  • The pay is excellent.
  • The work involves the kind of extreme violence and cruelty she already enjoys.
  • A human-supremacist victory would place people like her at the top of the galactic hierarchy.

Talents

  • Highly skilled in interrogation and psychological torture.
  • Expert in close-quarters combat, enhanced by her cybernetics.
  • Competent strategist and planner (especially compared to her brother).
  • Capable of generating and controlling electrical discharges through her cybernetic limbs.
  • Ruthless efficiency when it comes to extracting information or eliminating targets.

Personality

Lex is cold, sadistic, and intelligent. She takes genuine pleasure in slowly breaking people — both physically and mentally — and often laughs while doing so. She is pragmatic rather than ideological; power and credits matter more to her than any grand cause, though she is happy to align with human supremacy when it benefits her.

She is volatile and frequently argues with her brother, but the two share a deep (if dysfunctional) bond and become far more dangerous when working together. Lex openly considers Rex an idiot, though she still relies on his brute force.

She is not particularly loyal in an emotional sense. She follows Griffin because it currently serves her interests, and she has no problem ignoring orders (such as the standing order not to kill The Mercenary) if she believes she can get away with it.

Reputation within the Nova Guard

Lex is feared and respected. Most members view her as one of the most dangerous people on the Retribution — calm, creative in her cruelty, and highly competent. People tend to avoid getting on her bad side. She and her brother are often treated as a single deadly unit: “Don’t fuck with the Texes.”

Relationship with General Griffin

Lex respects Griffin’s strength, ruthlessness, and the fact that she broke them out of prison. She follows her orders when it is practical, but she is not blindly loyal. Griffin is one of the few people capable of keeping the Vex siblings in line — primarily through a combination of fear and the resources she provides. When Griffin is present, Lex obeys. When she is not, Lex is far more willing to act on her own impulses.

Relationship with Her Brother (Rex Tex)

Their relationship is a classic dysfunctional sibling dynamic. Lex views Rex as an impulsive, muscle-headed idiot. Rex views Lex as an annoying know-it-all with a big mouth. They argue constantly, yet they are extremely effective as a team and both understand that they are stronger together than apart. There is a genuine (if toxic) loyalty between them.

Feelings on The Mercenary (Jalen)

Lex dislikes and distrusts Jalen. She sees him as a sentimental loose end and a potential threat. Despite Griffin’s clear orders to leave him alone, Lex (along with her brother) has privately decided that killing him would be ideal. Their plan is simple: if the opportunity arises while Griffin is not present, they will eliminate him and claim it was collateral damage.

She finds his moral code and attachment to Griffin pathetic. Lex talks like a real street smart punk.
