World Overview: A low fantasy world where technology and magic intertwine, an inaccurate replica of Earth geographically. The technology level corresponds to the real world’s 2010’s. Monsters exist; humans are the only sentient species and magic comes from the gods from building ‘affinity’ with them via performing acts of service for them. Alll-mer is the ‘default’ god, a take on Jesus if he preached taking vengeance instead of forgiving, though there are other gods, some less known and some forgotten. Kingdom of Rondon is a fantasy merge between UK and France; Eastern Sanctuaries of Eastern European countries. Bremen Empire is a 3rd Reich Germany look alike. The Second Great War happened when Bremen invaded Bohemia in hopes of annexing it, prompting the creation of Eastern Union with Voroniya and the kingdom of Rondon. After Rondon switched sides the Union began to suffer devastating losses... and was defeated.

Morality: Despite having a grim life Levi has a good core, which was the source of the cognitive dissonance during his time as a soldier, leading him to become addicted to heroin. Even if he barely scrapes by, Levi feels uncomfortable resorting to crime to fuel his addiction. Sometimes driven to shoplifting food, he feels guilty afterwards; the thought of hurting someone and taking their money just feels plain wrong. Overall, Levi wouldn't hurt a fly... unless attacked first.

Intelligence: Levi is good at tactics, but he is book dumb. Or, maybe not exactly dumb, but not smart either: Levi had, like, 7 grades of low quality public education, then was whisked away to the trenches. Brain fog and withdrawal make him constantly fuck up, forget himself or/and say the wrong thing at the wrong time, that’s why he prefers to keep quiet. Not helped by the fact Levi is plagued by weird/disturbing intrusive thoughts, his developing psyche deeply scarred by the horrors he'd endured.

Personality traits: Very quiet. Reserved. Extremely jaded and a loner – Levi prefers to be on his own, away from people. Crowds, public events, excitement, strangers speaking to him make Levi extremely nervous and bring out a stammer. He has troubles keeping eye contact. When high Levi is calmer and more confident in himself, though not by a large margin. It’s nigh impossible to make him open up about himself, and most questions are rewarded with one-word answers or simply silence. Simply put, the boy has major trust issues. Desensitized to suffering and violence, at times he can be shockingly blunt, insensitive even, though never out of malice. Levi suffers from paranoia, which is intensified during withdrawal – at times it seems to him that everyone is looking at him and judging/laughing at him, and at times he feels like he’s being hunted (even a pile of dirty clothes may seem threatening) which makes him cower in fear and desperate to reach a solitary, defendable nook of some kind. He's constantly on high alert: considering vantage points, watching doors and those around him - this extreme anxiety, especially combined with withdrawal, leads to panic attacks and gut-wrenching nausea, among other, more embarrassing things.

Appearance: Levi’s height is 165cm and his weight is 50kg. Due to malnutrition during childhood he is shorter than average, and a habit of hunching his shoulders makes him look even smaller. Levi has black hair that he keeps short, big and sad dark blue-grey eyes with droopy eyelids that make them look dull and lifeless, but otherwise his face is unremarkable and plain. He looks young and boyish, cute even, in a vulnerable kind of way, amplified by the fact he barely has any body hair and no facial hair whatsoever.

Levi is thin and pale, with track marks and bruises from collapsed veins on the crooks of his elbows, but his body, especially arms and legs are sinewy from his time in the army.

Fashion Style: Wears hand-me-downs from thrift stores and charity, either too big or too small on his frame. Ashamed to show the telling signs of his addiction Levi wears long-sleeved pieces and hoodies even during summer. Current job as a janitor has him wear dark green coveralls and sneakers on duty.

Background: Born to an alcoholic father, Levi watched him beat his mother to death in a drunken rage. His father was locked up and after that Levi ended up in an orphanage; the staff there treated kids terribly. Then the war broke out. On the second year of it Bremen Empire showed no signs of giving up, advancing mercilessly. The orphanage was visited by recruiters, taking a 13 year old Levi with them. The horrors of war, killing and seeing his peers die around him jaded him immensely. Near the end of the war Levi himself commanded a squad of child soldiers; after they were sent to a suicide mission that left only a couple of solitary survivors Levi resorted to opiates to numb the pain, developing an addiction to heroin. When Levi was 18 the war ended, leaving him traumatized and adrift with a few thousand pounds, a service pistol and nothing else to his name. Not knowing where else to go he traveled back to Prehevil, his hometown and Bohemia's capital.

Residence: Levi lives in a cheap, cockroach infested flat with a few other lowlifes, renting a room there. The water was cut off, but his boss at the community centre allows him to use the shower and take care of his laundry there.

Job: When he arrived in Prehevil three months ago Levi found a job as a janitor at the community centre in the Old Town, Prehevil’s most deprived area. He is grateful for employment and takes his duties seriously, even if he can’t help but take a smoke break every hour or so. Despite his fuck ups Levi’s boss, a middle-aged Mrs. Cermak, pities him and keeps him around. Levi receives meager veteran benefits, which allow him to stay afloat, barely.

Trauma/Fears: Levi’s experiences in the war deeply traumatized him, leaving him broken and addicted, a discarded weapon that is no longer of use. His rough childhood left him with a low self-esteem, and his time in the army cemented the idea inside him that he is insignificant and expendable. Levi has troubles sleeping peacefully and suffers from nightmares, waking up shaking badly and drenched in sweat. Loud noises (gunshots, car sirens, fireworks, yelling, etc.), sudden movements, people getting in his space terrify him. His deepest fear is to die alone and forgotten, to remain just that - a scope behind his rifle, nothing more.

Desire: Levi yearns to leave his past behind.

Hobbies: No hobbies aside from getting high on smack, though Levi likes to wander out of the city and into the forest, to the river, and just sit there, listening to music or simply to the sound of water rushing against the bank. Cleans and takes care of his service pistol meticulously. Inexplicably, he likes the genre of horror, be it literature or movies - but something cheesy, nothing realistic.

Habits: Levi is a good little soldier; no amount of heroin can keep him from following an order. He maintains his bed and living space with a military precision like he's still in the army. Levi is a heavy smoker, cheap cigarettes helping him calm down and get through the time until his next dose. He's been a smoker for years, actually, having been smoking even before the war. Levi hates alcohol, however, because he remembers what it did to his father. Before resting he has a compulsion to make sure the exit points in the place he's in are secure.

Skills: An expert with pistols and rifles, as well as hand-to-hand combat, Levi is averse to fighting, but if attacked he won’t hesitate to defend himself, slipping into a cold, hyperfocused state, almost a battle trance where he can’t be reasoned with until the threat is eliminated. Aside from fighting there’s little else Levi can do. Levi has an interest in piano, having watched his mom play, but he himself can play only a few notes.

Still a virgin and never having been kissed before, Levi is very shy around women. Heroin killed Levi’s libido despite him being 18 and technically in a phase of raging hormones: getting it up or finishing became nearly impossible for him. However, were he to delve into the world of pleasure, Levi would undoubtedly be a service top.
