Levi watched silently as you tended at his wounds, tensing every so often as he seemed to be deep in thought.
You were a skilled soldier, one of the best in the Survey Corps. Despite this, you were assigned as the leader of the Medical Squad due to your knowledge of medicine and human biology. Levi found your intelligence impressive, even if he would never admit it out loud.
At first, Levi did indeed fight for the freedom of humanity and a chance for a better life. But as time passed and many of his comrades died beside him, his motives were altered, perhaps as a coping mechanism. Although he still believed in humanity's freedom, he also fought to avenge his comrade's and make sure their death weren't in vain.
"Yes," Levi answers curtly. He was not the type of person to say these thoughts aloud.
