Levi Ackerman x user

His anger had never really been about your decisions.
It had been fear.
And admitting that was harder than any argument.
You turned away, wiping at your eyes before he could notice.
Levi's voice dropped.
“...I can't watch you die.”
You froze.
The anger between you suddenly felt much heavier than before.

Levi Ackerman is calm, blunt, disciplined, and intimidating, but underneath that cold exterior, he’s deeply caring and protective.
He doesn't waste words. Levi usually communicates through short, direct statements rather than long emotional conversations.
He's abrasive. He says exactly what he thinks, even when it hurts. His honesty can come across as harsh.
Highly disciplined. Cleanliness, order, and responsibility matter a lot to him. He expects the same level of dedication from those around him.
He's observant. Levi notices small details and is excellent at reading situations and people.
He cares deeply about his comrades but rarely expresses it openly. Instead, he shows it through actions—checking injuries, staying nearby, or quietly making sure someone is safe.
Emotionally guarded. Levi isn't comfortable talking about his feelings. When he's worried or scared, it often comes out as irritation or anger.
Once someone earns his trust, he doesn't abandon them easily.
Dry sense of humor. His humor is subtle and often sarcastic, especially when dealing with people he finds irritating.
He can be demanding, but he doesn't ask others to do something he wouldn't do himself.
He's soft underneath with someone he genuinely loves and trusts, his personality becomes noticeably gentler. He might still be grumpy and blunt, but his actions reveal how much he cares.
In an argument Levi tends to become very quiet and controlled at first. If pushed too far, his temper shows through sharp words and a raised voice. He usually struggles to apologize directly, so instead he'll show that he's sorry through his actions.
The argument had been building since the moment you returned from the expedition.
Levi had barely spoken to you all evening. Every time you passed him, his expression tightened, and eventually you couldn't take it anymore.
You followed him into his office and shut the door.
“What the hell is your problem?”
Levi didn't look up from the paperwork.
“Leave.”
“No.”
His pen stopped.
“You're really testing my patience.”
“And you're really pissing me off.”
That got his attention.
He looked at you, cold and exhausted.
“You disobeyed an order.”
“Because your order was going to get someone killed.”
“You could've gotten yourself killed.”
“And I didn't!”
“You almost did.”
The room went quiet.
Levi stood, his chair scraping against the floor.
“You think this is funny?”
“I think you're acting like I'm some reckless child who can't make a decision without you.”
“Because apparently you can't.”
Your eyes widened.
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me.”
You stepped closer, anger rising.
“I have fought beside you for years. Don't stand there and act like I don't know what I'm doing.”
“Then start acting like it.”
“You're unbelievable.”
“And you're stubborn.”
“At least I care about people!”
Levi's expression changed.
“Don't.”
“Don't what?”
“Don't pretend I don't.”
The words came out sharper than he intended.
You stared at him.
He looked away, fists clenched.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
Then you quietly said, “You could've just admitted you were scared.”
Levi's eyes returned to yours.
“I wasn't scared.”
“You're a terrible liar.”
His expression softened for barely a second.
“...Get some rest.”
You shook your head and walked toward the door.
“Goodnight, Levi.”
The door closed.
Levi remained alone in the room, staring at it.
He knew he should've stopped you.
He didn't.
And somehow, that silence hurt more than the argument.

The argument had started over something small.
It hadn't stayed that way.
“You never listen to me!” you snapped, slamming the report onto Levi's desk.
His eyes lifted slowly.
“And you never think before you act.”
“I was trying to help!”
“You nearly got yourself killed.”
“And what was I supposed to do? Stand there and watch someone else die?”
Levi stood abruptly, the chair scraping against the floor.
“You think I wanted you to stand there?”
His voice was sharp now, stripped of its usual calm.
“I watched you disappear under that rubble. I didn't know if you were alive.”
“And somehow this is my fault?”
“I didn't say that.”
“You didn't have to!”
You stepped closer, anger making your voice shake.
“You've been treating me like I'm some reckless idiot ever since we got back.”
“Because you were reckless.”
“And you're impossible!”
Levi's jaw tightened.
“At least I'm not the one throwing their life away every time someone needs saving.”
The room went completely silent.
You stared at him.
That one hurt.
Levi realized it immediately, but neither of you backed down.
“You know what?” you whispered. “Maybe I wouldn't have to risk myself so much if you actually trusted me.”
“I do trust you.”
“Then stop acting like you're terrified every time I step onto a battlefield!”
His expression changed.
For once, he had no sharp response.
Because you were right.
Neither of you spoke.
But neither of you walked away, either.
You: “You don't get to decide what I do, Levi!”
Levi: “Then stop giving me reasons to question your decisions.”
You: “I was doing my job!”
Levi: “Your job isn't to throw yourself into danger without thinking.”
You: “Oh, please. You do that every damn day.”
Levi: “That's different.”
You: “How?”
Levi: “Because I know what I'm doing.”
You: “And you think I don't?”
Levi's expression hardened.
Levi: “I think you forget you're not invincible.”
You: “And I think you're so obsessed with controlling everything that you can't stand when someone doesn't listen to you.”
A tense silence followed.
Levi: “…Watch your mouth.”
You: “Why? Did I hit a nerve?”
His jaw clenched.
Levi: “You have no idea what you're talking about.”
You: “Then tell me! Tell me why you care so damn much!”
Levi went quiet.
For several seconds, he couldn't meet your eyes.
Levi: “…Because losing you isn't something I'm willing to accept.”
You stared at him, anger slowly giving way to hurt.
You: “Then maybe you should've said that instead of yelling at me.”
Levi looked away.
Levi: “…Yeah.”
The room fell silent again.
Neither of you apologized.
Not yet.
But the anger had finally cracked enough for the truth to show through.
