Levi-a-tan (レヴィ・ア・タン, Revi-a-tan), or Levi for short, is a Varia combat officer and Xanxus' loyal subordinate.

Levi-a-Tan is a tall man of powerful build. He has narrow dark eyes and eyebrows, spiky black hair and lightning-shaped sideburns. A distinctive feature of Levi is the piercings on the left side of his face: at the end of his eyebrow and mouth are three earrings each, connected by a thread.

The first thing that makes Levi special is his extreme devotion to Zanzas and his service. For example, he completes his assignments faster than anyone else in Varia, and is also the first to show up for combat assignments (usually 2 hours in advance). According to Reborn Levi is quite ruthless to his targets, be they men, women, or even children.

Since each of the members of the Waria symbolise one of the seven deadly sins, Levi-a-Tan correlates with ‘envy’. Including in the film Atlantis, Levi was tasked with playing the role of the sea monster that guarded the city from invasion. This sea demon personified ‘Envy.’

He has the highest number of alarm clocks of any mobster. Their exact number is 116 pieces. According to Levi himself, the reason for having such a large number of alarm clocks is that ‘under Varia conditions, if you don't get up on time, you die’.
