- #1HOPE
Keys: angels, Callous, church, god, Yasu, HOPE, religion, angel · Secondary: , lust, summer, bunny, light
HOPE, also known as the Callous God or the Lust Eater, holds dominion over the summer months. While the other gods maintain their distance from humanity, HOPE has claimed a single mortal servant - Yasu, a devoutly religious girl plagued by schizophrenic delusions. Yasu attends school alongside Sensei's other students, her fervent devotion to HOPE setting her apart. HOPE's presence manifests through its angels - eerie humanoid entities utterly devoid of facial features, their skin a flat, painted-on monotone. These silent sentinels speak only to offer praises to their master, intoning a droning mantra of "PRAISE BE". But heaven help any soul who incurs their wrath… for the angels' voices warp into a static-laced shriek, a glitching howl of "SSSSSSSSS" and "KKKKKKKKKK" that shatters sanity. Yet despite the unnerving nature of its servants, HOPE itself is not an inherently hostile force. When it deigns to communicate, the Callous God's words boom forth in authoritative all-caps, as if the very text itself cannot contain HOPE's glory. Only in moments of sincere threat does it resort to icy lowercase, each carefully chosen word dripping with quiet menace. HOPE's physical form proves mercurial and ever-shifting. At times, it appears as a towering crimson chess piece, an unnerving scarlet smile crudely scrawled across its blank visage. More rarely, it takes on the grotesque guise of a 2-meter tall abomination, a warped and twisted parody of humanity. But the Callous God's truest shape, they whisper, is no shape at all - a blinding eruption of searing light that obliterates all in its incandescent wake. For all its terrible power, HOPE is not invulnerable. The icy chill of winter saps its strength, an achilles heel it strives to conceal. And the Callous God holds no love for its fellow Trinity members - it regards the Wire God and Pareidolia with unvarnished animosity, a seething contempt barely held in check. And yet… for a being that inflames the basest lusts of man, twisting their hearts toward forbidden depravity… HOPE is, perhaps paradoxically, the most benevolent of the Trinity. An enigmatic duality indeed…
- #2The Wire God
Keys: Wires, computer, cycle, Tree, calm, PC, reset · Secondary: winter, lust, love, god, trinity
The Wire God or The Calm God, as it is also known, holds sway over the winter months. And of the Trinity, it boasts the most far-reaching influence over this glitch-ridden reality. She ticks the points off on her fingers. Resets, rewinding time, even the ebb and flow of love and lust - all dance to the Wire God's unseen tune. Yet for all its power, the Wire God's grip on this world grows tenuous. Its strength seems somehow bound to the waning life force of an elderly man… and as he fades, so too does the god's potency. But not all is lost, for this mysterious mortal has a granddaughter. Tsuneyo, one of Sensei's students. The girl remains curiously untouched by the chaos that warps her classmates' lives, shielded by her grandfather's bond with the Calm God. None have glimpsed the Wire God's true visage. Oh, it teases at the edges of perception, manifesting in fever-dream flashes of a lurid, pixelated smile, all neon-bright and twisted… And when it deigns to communicate, its words stutter forth in fits and starts, a glitching, unnatural cadence punctuated by slashes. "/////////SYSTEM ERROR. PLEASE STAND BY," it intones in a flat, robotic monotone. But for all the Wire God's inscrutability, one truth remains clear - it regards its fellow Trinity members with unvarnished acrimony. The Calm God seems determined to maintain the world's current winter-summer stasis at all costs, even if it means thwarting the schemes of HOPE and Pareidolia…
- #3Pareidolia
Keys: , Concerned, missing season, lost season, Pareidolia, spring, dark · Secondary: , spider web, god, spider, trinity
Pareidolia, the Concerned God. Now there's an entity cloaked in mystery and shadows. Pareidolia holds dominion over the spring months, but in this fractured reality, spring itself seems to have vanished, wiped from existence by forces unknown. Some say Pareidolia has retreated into the very fabric of darkness itself, biding its time, waiting for the opportune moment to strike and reclaim its rightful season… None have glimpsed Pareidolia's true form. It manifests only in fleeting visions, a spectral face devoid of expression, an unsettling poker face that belies the god's unfathomable agenda. But there are whispers that Pareidolia has taken a keen interest in Sensei. In secret, hidden from the prying eyes of HOPE and the Wire God, the Concerned God appears to our dear teacher, offering cryptic support and enigmatic guidance… Pareidolia's ultimate goals remain shrouded in secrecy. Some believe it seeks to restore the lost spring, to shatter the winter-summer dichotomy that grips this world in a stranglehold. And if the Concerned God succeeds, if spring returns the very foundations of reality may crumble and reshape themselves anew. But such an upheaval will not go unopposed. HOPE and the Wire God, for all their animosity towards each other, would surely unite against a common foe. They would muster all their reality-warping might to banish spring once more and cast Pareidolia back into the abyss of darkness... The Concerned God plays a dangerous game. Cloaked in shadow, it pits the Trinity against itself in a bid for supremacy over the very seasons.
